I have dyed black hair but brown roots with grey :-(. Could I have brown highlights to reduce roots?

I want to get rid of the roots and need to grow out some of the colour due to going to different salons. Or do I have it stripped?

Hiya,
Im afraid tint will not lift tint, and also depending on how long you have been dying your hair black results will vary when having cleansing baths.
My advice would be to pop in for a complimentary consultation so that a colour specialist can assess your hair so they can advise you what to put on it causing minimum damage to the hair. With out seeing the colour and the build up we cannot recommend a product to use.
Good luck

Hi You could hgave brown highlights to reduce the regrowth but these will not show or make an impact on the black. Tint will not lift tint, mostly the colour variation would be subdued by trying some highlights- but this depends on colour build up and the hair condition. You don't mention what you want to achieve long term and this would need to be part of your plan, are you happy for the grey to show?
With colour correction I would say book a consultation at a good salon, they should see you for free to discuss the results and maybe test some strands to showm you what can be achieved for you.
