The best way to treat acne is to take a systematic approach - I would suggest you visit a clinic for a thorough skin analysis for best results. They are likely to suggest you use skincare using salycylic acid or lactic acid to increase cell turnover, peels may help to curb breakouts, a good antibiotic would combat the bacteria causing this problem, and a laser such as CO2 would help to resurface any scarring so far.

If your acne is still active then please see your doctor as hormonal treatments such as certain versions of the contraceptive pill and tablets only your GP can prescribe can reallly help. If the acne is no longer active and it is just the scarring which concerns you, we have found medical grade dermaroller treatments to be very helpful. You will need a course of a minimum of 3 treatments, potentially as many as 5 if the scarring is severe. Each treatment needs to be taken between 4-6 weeks apart. This safe and effective treatment works in harmony with your body's own healing ability which enables you to rebuild the skin. Please contact us if you would like further information about this treatment.

The most important thing with acne treatments at your age is being aggressive with treatments to stop the scarring from occurring in the first place.
My advice would be to see your GP & discuss treatment options including hormonal manipulation & possibly even referal to a dermatologist. You shouldnt be in the position at 19 of thinking about how to treat residual scarring - the acne sounds to still be active & needs proper treatment.
Dont waste money on over the counter or herbal preparations & stay well away from the so called chinese herbal remedies.
