Where I practise:
My work comes from a life long interest in psychology, cultural anthropology, and the elements that go into the sought-after condition called "wellbeing." In particular, I am a physician who believes my main job is to teach people how to be their own, best primary care provider. I teach about foods, and herbs, and exercise and certain medicines, but more and more these days, I teach about plain old kindness, compassion for self and others, purpose and simple contentment in life. Thank heavens there are some things that medicine can fix. But I'm most interested in what we can fix by paying attention to how we spend the moments of our day. Some of my own best forms of medicine are dancing, cooking and eating great food, growing a few herbs, walking about new cities, and riding a tandem bike with my husband.
