Very professional treatment, great client care. All staff were very thorough and polite throughout.
Extremely happy with this service. In addition this salon has achieved an excellent balance of professionalism and friendliness. We definitely visit again!
What a lovely salon! I had the environ prescriptive facial, the staff where so professional and full of knowledge. My skin has never looked so good. I brought the after skin care and can't wait to go back for another amazing treatment! Would highly recommend.
Great shellac nails Lovely Mavala pedicure with varnish to take home for touching up was great. Friendly therapists and staff .
On the plus side I got a free chemical peel with this facial.... This wasn't a good experience unfortunately. Firstly, I was asked to put on a wrap around fastening towel thing that was dirty. I guess these are expensive to have very many of, but it would have been much better to just have a clean towel than a dirty fancy robe thing. The beautician was nice and friendly, but when she tried to sell me a dietary supplement it became apparent that she didn't understand what it was or how it worked, when I asked what it was all she could say was that it "worked from the inside" and was "made by a doctor so its scientific". This worried me a bit, as I expected her to at least say it had vitamins or something, but I just put it down to a lack of training and support by the management, she was very nice and friendly and clearly meant well. Unfortunately, overnight I had a pretty bad reaction to the facial; my face and eyes swelled right up so I could barely see and my skin was red and sore. I also had an itchy rash all over my face neck and shoulders. Its 4 days later now and its only just going down. Now I know that allergic reactions can happen anywhere, but I was really concerned by the way the salon responded when I called them to ask for advice. From the outset I made it clear that I wasn't hassling them for my money back (which I could have), and I had no issue with the girl that did it but I just wanted some advice on how to treat my peeling, swollen face. Firstly the lady I spoke to denied that it could be the facial as "its a prescriptive facial for your skin type so you cant be allergic to it". Which frankly is complete rubbish, anyone can be allergic to pretty much anything. Anyway I persisted, and asked what was in the products used (so I could avoid whatever was in it in the future) and she told me that one product had high levels of vitamin A and what I was experiencing was probably a "retinol reaction" which was very common, and nothing to worry about. She told me I couldn't be allergic to vitamin A because "its natural and your skin will just take it in". Again, this is rubbish, anyone can be allergic to anything regardless of whether its "natural" or not. Also there would have been dozens of other ingredients in the product that I could have been allergic to, not just the active ingredient. She did offer me a sample of some moisturiser to soothe it if I could pop in which was nice, but I didn't really trust their advice after all this. She suggested I email in a picture so they could "work with me through it", I did within 5 mins of the phone call ending but received no reply, not even a "hope its getting better" message or acknowledgement of what had happened to me. I stopped by another beauticians yesterday for some advice on sorting out what is left of my face and they were much more knowledgeable and advised me that the beautician had probably used too high a concentration of vitamin A on my skin; apparently vitamin A should always be gradually increased with each facial, and the high doses only used when a persons skin is used to them. So I'll be going there in future (although I don't think I'll ever brave a facial again)! Obviously allergic reactions can happen anywhere, but my issue with this place was that they likely used too high a concentration of vitamin A, and the advice the staff offered me was incorrect and ill-informed, but made to sound like it was "scientifically advised" when clearly it wasn't and they didn't understand what they were talking about. They also clearly didn't care about what had happened to me, and were too concerned about distancing themselves from any responsibility to get back to me even just to ask if it was any better.
