I had the worst ever hair cut and service ever from this salon and also they refuse to give me the owners number or my money back! Appalling! I went to have trim and the hair dresser I don't want to mention names as he was a nice did an awful cut I had many bad comments asking if I had my child on my lap (which I didnt!)! He cut it so fast and didn't check it and took off 3 inches when I asked for 1! Then after it was so uneven I needed to get it re-done! So after sending an email to manager asked me to come in so he could see it. When I g
ot there I assumed they would fix it with a proper service but instead he blow dried my hair straight and asked me what I wanted him to fix! They made me feel uncomfortable and would not even admit it was not a good cut! He is the hair dresser he should have known how to fix it and offered a solution! I was scared anyways to have anymore cut but he said he would even it out! Then once he cut it straight across I had to ask him to even out the sides also. It still looked bad but like best of the worst! So I asked for a part refund and he said no I fixed it! I had to leave as he refused although I was not happy it was still a bad cut! I then proceeded to email asking for the owners number and they refuse asking me to come in again. Yeh right. I will never go there again and anyone in the area should not go either they are unprofessional and it's not even cheap! If I could add the picture you wouldn't even believe it!

I had a wash, cut and blow dry with Eddy at Why Not yesterday. I have bobbed hair which is midway between my jaw and shoulders, so based on their tiered pricing I was expecting to pay £25 - 30. At the till however I was charged £37.90; feeling a little surprised and thinking that I must have somehow misread their prices I just paid. On exiting the salon I decided to check and realised I had been charged their "very long / big curls / restyle" rate. Since I don't have remotely long hair, didn't have my hair curled, and had a trim, I decided to pop back to point out the error and get a refund on the difference.

The lady on the till first tried to say I did have long hair according to a picture on their price list. Then a guy who I believe is the owner questioned how much I had had cut off; on realising I really did only had a trim, they seemed to give up on this tack and claimed it was because I had a lot of hair and that they had had to spend a lot of time on it. In fact it was so quick I was in and out in under 45 minutes including filling out a form, consultation and *paying*.

Eddy said I could come back another time if I wanted to discuss it as he had another client. I asked them once again to refund me as I didn't want or feel that I should have to make a separate trip back across London for this, I wasn't expecting it to be such a huge deal. They became very standoffish and defensive and refused point blank claiming they don't ever give refunds to anyone, like that was a valid reason! And so I left feeling utterly ripped off. Although not a large amount of money, this demonstration of such poor business ethics means I would struggle to trust them in any other way. Like many women, finding a good hairdresser is important to me, so I will not be putting my hair in these unscrupulous hands again. They have my phone number; I wonder if they will do the right thing and get in touch to apologise and refund the difference...

I went for a haircut with Tony on the 30th April. I have short hair and wanted the sides and back cut and reshaped but my fringe to be left long as I had a wedding in 2 days and needed the length. He indicated that he understood my request and on we went. 10 minutes later, I was sitting there with one side of my fringe 3 inches shorter- I had the makings of a pixie cut!! When I questioned what had just happened after we had agreed to keep the length in the fringe, I got a barrage of passive aggressive dramatised dither about how he is an artist and has a vision so chose to do something that would show my face better, rather than what we had discussed or what I wanted. After all, 'he had studied at the Vidal Sassoon!' blah blah blah. By the end of the cut, the right side of my fringe was 1cm shorter than the left, but with no gradient- just a severe drop about half way along. The right side in general, was well contoured and layered, although far shorter than I’d wanted. But he’d obviously taken offense to me questioning his 'genius' and lost interest (and professionalism) soon after, as the other side was left hardly touched. As a result, I had a blob of bluntly cut hair flopping to that side which looked ridiculous. I said I would not pay until I could speak to the manger, who was not in that day. In the end, they agreed... Under Tonys duress. The visit ended with him yelling at me (in English & his native tongue) complete with offensive hand gestures, and me in tears for first time ever after a haircut. The manager never called me.
I agree that this hairdresser is very good value, but when you walk out of there with a style so asymmetrical and jagged you look like an extra from the 5th element, it's hardly worth it. I have only had experience with Tony and I would absolutely recommend avoiding him at all costs. The rest of the staff may be very good, although I am always a little weary of companies that appear to be writing their own reviews on these types of sites... Apologies for the long review, just hoping this prevents anyone else having a similarly upsetting experience, especially 2 days before their best friends wedding, no less!

This was my first time at Why Not. Marco did my Hairdreams extensions beautifully, taking the time with removal of existing ones carefully, and the new extensions were incredibly neatly done. I have had extensions for four years now and can tell the difference! Also great colour and blow dry.

Hairdreams are really the highest quality extensions and the longest lasting. They are natural looking and the hair remains in good condition throughout. Whilst they are more expensive than other brands, they are actually better economically as they can last for almost 6 months. Having researched the prices of Hairdreams extensions in London, I found Why Not to be very competitive. I will be returning again.

Why Not Hairdressing delivers a personal, bespoke service and I look forward to my monthly appointments. My hair is not easy, but my sessions are relaxing and the cut is so good that the result often garners (even me) compliments. I have been delighted with Why Not for many, many years.

I had my first hairextentions at Why Not Hairdressing
some 2 years ago. I have very fine hair and never thought
there is anything anyone could do to make me fall
in love with my hair until I had hair dream extensions.
Now I absolutely love my hair! I don't think I could do
without my extensions.Hair dreams extensions are
the best there is and I have tried all the other brands.The way Marco at Why Not Hairdressing puts them in gives me the look I never
thought I could have.
