Went to Waterfall Spa yesterday with my friend as a treat for her 50th birthday. I managed to get a 2 for 1 deal which was great and included a 40 minute treatment. It was my 3rd visit, but her 1st. We had a fabulous day but I do think the spa is starting to look a little tired and could do with a bit of tlc. Cracked tiles in steam room, chipped shower cubicles in changing rooms and mountains of wet towels also in changing rooms. Other than that it was gorgeous and we had a fab day to remember - I would defo revisit if the price was right.

Lovely facilities and decor- very well designed into a small building with a gorgeous sleep boudoir that we couldn't wait to have a snooze in after treatments..
Unfortunately this was let down by the rude staff. Loudly chatting/laughing whilst walking through the sleep boudoir which was a main walkway to all of treatment rooms.

My therapist played her iPod VERY loudly with innapropriate music (Bjork!) during and after treatments- which could be heard in sleep boudoir. I had to ask her to turn the volume down during my mssage!

We had paid for a spa 'day' on a Saturday but the therapists get very itchy to leave around 4pm and started tidying magazines around us whilst we were trying to relax! Very Rude.
The therapist who did the pedicure however was very polite and proffessional.

Would never go there again for a Spa Day. and not for any treatments based on the bad service we recieved.

It is a small place. There is some slight repairs needed. The tiles on the floor in the shower room were loose, and wobbled when you walked on them. There wasn't a dryer to dry your swim wear. There were cracks in the tiles in the steam room.
I had a light facial. and the therapist left a list of products that she thought I required, but she didn't run through them with me nor did she ask what type of products I currently used.
My visit was a present and at £65 I felt it was a very expensive facial. Not a place that I'd rush back to.

Waterfall Spa is located not too far from the center of Leeds, situated down a quite side street. The spa facilities are small but beautifully formed, perfect for a few hours welcome break from the hurly-burly of the city. As my sister in-law lives closes by my husband decided to treat us girls to a day at the Spa.

We were greeted at the door and a pleasant girl showed us around the facilities. Waterfall spa was smaller than I had expected but has a wonderful whirlpool with three different hydro experiences, sauna, steam room special tiled room for mud treatments as well as treatment rooms for massages and manicures etc.

My favourite area was the relaxation room, which had an amazing ambience with low lighting and rounded beds surrounded by thin chains, which perfectly enclosed your bed making it private, but without being enclosed. Each bed had it’s own reading light so you could take advantage of the generous selection of magazines. Even an extra comforter had been thoughtfully placed at the end of the bed just incase you felt cold.

A selection of half hour treatments had been included within the two-for-one deal. As I was shortly to be flying off to Greece I chose a pedicure to make my feet nice and pretty for my holiday. This was my first time ever having a professional pedicure and I am sure my feet were a challenge. The beautician was the same girl who has earlier shown us around the facilities (called Linda I think?), she did a wonderful job on my feet. I don’t think they’ve ever felt so soft or my nails ever looked to glossy. Linda also gave me some advice on how I could keep my feet feeling so soft.

I would recommend Waterfall Spa to anyone in the Leeds area. It’s a good venue to spend a few hours relaxation with a friend, your mother, sister or maybe a group of friends for a celebration. Although I think the venue may start to feel crowded if you had 20 women all using the same facilities at the same time. However during the week the atmosphere was perfect.

The only thing I would change would be to have more variety on the café menu. When I was there it consisted mainly of sandwiches and as I avoid bread I would have liked to see a choice of soup or a salad. Apart from this I would give full marks to Waterfall Spa as an excellent city center Spa.

Great facilities and wonderful place for total relaxation however some staff were a little abrupt. We couldn't get our treatments in the afternoon as requested months previously. Gentle background music could also have provided a little more ambience.

Me and a friend went to Waterfall Spa to treat ourselves after finishing uni, therefore were prepared to splash the cash. We did think it was a wee bit expensive when booking, however, after using the facilties, being in the environment, with friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous food and an amazing massage, it was worth every penny. We both would definately go again, and as we had travelled up to Leeds, we decided to make a few days of it and took advantage of the shops and nightlife. The Spa is a beautiful place, where you can spend the whole day relaxing and being pampered. I didn't want to leave!!

Unlike some city centre spas, Waterfall is not short on amenities and easily slots into the category of designer spa. But despite its boutique feel and luxury treatments, the staff are anything but hoity-toity! On hand to help, they were eager to find out exactly what we wanted to get out of our spa experience and based on that recommended some specific treatments we should try - great for my companion who was something of a spa virgin!

We eventually opted for a facial, a manicure and their signature treatment, the Rasul Deluxe. After a coconut body polish (in separate rooms) my friend and I reconvened back in the Turkish Rasul mud chamber where we were greeted with bowls of various muds. The therapist explained which muds went where and we were left to it! It's a good job we were close friends as without a therapist present, it's useful to have a helping hand when it comes to tackling those tricky to reach areas! Once the mud was applied we sat in the steam room admiring its shimmering mosaic tiles while the mud worked its magic. Then, before we knew it, the tropical rain shower kicked in and washed away the grime. Although a little dubious, our skin immediately felt softer and it lasted for a good week and a half - this would be an ideal pre-holiday treatment.

A women-only spa, I had never really considered why you would want to exclude men from such a thing, but I felt surprisingly more comfortable wandering around in my bikini, dressing gown and fluffy slippers than I thought. Even though you leave the spa looking glamourous, after you've been in a steam room, covered in mud and have had a facial, your hair can be left somewhat straggly and your skin a little greasy, but with only women there, you really don't care as much.

Another nice touch was the ambience of the treatment rooms. Warm and cosy, they all had their very own iPod playing a combination on relaxing mixes alongside our favourite tunes, a welcome change to the whale choruses or chanting that you're often subjected to in a spa!

One last thing to mention would have to be the special offers they have as it makes it an affordable activity to indulge in. From two-for-one offers to special evening deals, they go out of their way to make it accessible to women of all ages.

The one area I find spas struggle to get right is the cafe and restaurant areas. Although Waterfall had a fantastic chocolate fountain on offer and the lunch menu looked good, the portions were super small and I'd definitely recommend choosing something more substantial than a salad. It was also the only area of the spa that lacked ambience, but that could have been because we visited mid-week and there were fewer people using the facilities.
