We received a very warm welcome from the reception staff at the hotel and all our prior arrangements for dinner reservation and spa treatments were confirmed. The rooms were of an excellent standard, although was initially quite cold as heating had been turned off. The dinner was excellent value and waiting staff friendly and efficient. The spa treatments were excellent, although one treatment for self-tanning was not available and this had not been made clear upon booking.
The hotel is in a great location with lovely grounds. Highly recommended.

I went for the new forest retreat, spent two nights and had a lovely time. Upon arrival I had a bottle of wine waiting for me which I'd forgotten was part of the package, so that was a lovely little surprise! The hotel itself is very easy to find if you're travelling by train and the staff from the redemptions to the therapisbring on thet were all very helpful and pleasant, in addition to being on the young side. I thoroughly enjoyed the neck, back and shoulder massage, I only wish I could have booked it twice and used the steam room! The food was seasonal, fresh and enjoyable and the room was spacious clean but a little cold for me. All in all I wanted a relaxing break and I got that, so can happily recommend this a great place to stay and plane on coming back.

There was a wedding on at the time of our stay so we were upgraded to an apartment in the main house. Apart from the shower being a little temperamental and the bed a little too hard to have a truly comfortable sleep it was huge and we were very pleased. The food was delicious in both the restaurant and the Scottish steak house. After reading previous reviews regarding the quality and quantity being not great I have to totally disagree with them. Everything tasted fresh and I had to leave some as there was so much on my plate. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Spa treatments were ok but we felt a little rushed to be honest. All in all a good time was had though.

Really lovely relaxing day with my mum. We had a swim and sauna etc first followed by using the relaxation room before having our treatments then lunch. Treatments were lovely and lunch really delicious (was a box filled with 6 different mini portions of either fish, meat or vegetarian) plus a glass of bubbly! The hotel itself and grounds looked lovely, but unfortunately the spa etc is round the back of the hotel, so you don't really get to benefit from the beauty of the main building and grounds etc
Overall, a really lovely relaxing day.

As far as the treatments received this spa day was good however the spa facilities were not what I would have expected - the steam room was not working and the jacuzzi was not what I would term a true jacuzzi as it was part of the pool and not separate. The staff however were friendly and welcoming

Booked the Solent spa day and went on a Tuesday with my boyfriend. It was a great day and definitely worth the money. We arrived at 11:30 but could have arrived at 9:30. Access to the swimming pool, sauna and a chill out room with loungers and candles really lovely. Unfortunately the steam room was not working at the time of our visit. You are provided with towels, robes and flipflops. We then had lunch which was included and was amazing it was a large tray of a selection of things - you could choose either a tray of meat related dishes, fish related dishes or vegetarian. Then we booked our treatments for 15:00. I had a massage for 60 minutes and my boyfriend had a massage for 30 minutes and a facial for 30 minutes. The treatments were very good. The location is beautiful and you are allowed to walk around the venue and take photos. I definitely recommend this spa day don't forget a camera! Definitely worth the money 100%. I would also recommend going mid week as it is quietier and more personalised

No treatments available! What's the point of staying at a place that don't offer any?! Never mind I won't be going again.

I booked this on lastminute mostly for the spa packages. When I called to book my spa times after making the package booking I was told they had no availability after the late check in time of 3pm. They did let me check in at 2.30pm however but I did not get any treatements. Room was alright but a bit cold and we had to request another portable heater which took about an hour to arrive after two phone calls to reception. I went mid week and mostly saw families and older people in I would say 50 plus age group. I am in my 30's but it didntt bother me too much as I went to relax but just so folks know. Finally the restaurant was a little too traditional for me. A double measure of alcohol is around £10 or £12 plus £1.50 for your soda bottle. Over all not a bad place and I did get some time to relax in the steam room with my lady. However I could have got something local to do that. You decide I have just told you my experience.

The Hotel and Spa are very separate. Hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly and that is about as good as it gets. the hotel itself is trying very hard to be something it is not. The Spa is not a spa. It is a run down building that could be an old council leisure centre. The staff at the spa are unhelpful and it's surprisingly difficult to get a booking, even though this package deal was sold to us we couldn't get treatments together or at the times we wanted. The actual beauty therapists are inexperienced, one of them had not even qualified yet... which might be why she thought a pedicure was simply painting my toes! When I complained to the spa manager, she did not even apologise. There is no Jacuzzi and the pool is over run by children, it is also very old and was not relaxing at all. If you have a jacuzzi and a pool at your gym, you'll probably have a more relaxing experience. Don't waste your time on a spa break here. There will be a lot better for the time and money spent.

This was not what I would call a spa break. The rooms, food and staff were all good. The spa aspect- not good at all.
The pool is open to the public/ members of the health club. This meant that instead of relaxing in the jacuzzi or the pool, we were besieged by children throwing balls around and messing around in the jacuzzi . There were just two seats by the pool and overall not an atmosphere conducive to a spa break. The treatments were very hit and miss. The facial was good. The pedicure NOT a pedicure. Very disappointed that although advertised as a mini pedicure, it was in fact a very rushed file and paint with no aspect that could be considered a pedicure/ foot care.
I asked for a feedback form at reception upon checkout and was told to put in on trip advisor.
We paid a lot of money for a relaxing girls spa break and were let down by the poor spa facilities. Disappointed.
