Very disappointing club. Management forever changing. No one follows up on anything you inquire about. Machines are dirty and floors dusty, especially in the aerobic room, where the sound system never works well..

The spa has actually closed so I had the treatment at Dove, Chiswick. The pedicure was great- it has lasted a week now (I have been on holiday and it survived the pool, sea and the beach). I would really recommend this as it is perfect for special occasions and looks great!

The venue was easy to find within Virgin Active off Kensington High Street, The Spa is not huge But the ambience was good and my therapist was friendly and informative. The treatment included exfoliation, a mud wrap and a facial. It was a lovely relaxing treatment........ and I'd certainly have it again. Also bought some products to take home and try .

This spa is located into a Virgin active gym, which looks really fantastic. The spa is rather small but the ambiance is great and my therapist was excellent. I originally booked a mud wrap: the spa called me three days in advance to inform me that they were out of mud and they offered me to reschedule the treatment or change it. I have decided to change it and I had a full body exfoliation and a great facial. The products they use are excellent (you can buy them there and they are very good value for money) and I would definitely recommend this facility.

I was really disappointed with the treatment I received. I got this bliss pamper package from my children and I was supposed to receive a one and a half hour treatment but I was out of there in less than an hour! The facial was very unsatisfactory, the lady spent most of her time looking at some papers and occasionally putting something on my face and then wiping it away. The massage was ok but short. The final part of the treatment was a mini ‘manicure’ and this was the worst bit of all, she literally applied one coat of nail polish (over my already painted nails!) and sent me on my way…

After being a member there for more than a year (paying 100 £ a month) I can say that this club is a complete disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone- they constantly run out of towels, dirty ones are left on the shower room floor for hours and the elevator has been in repairs for at least 3 months( it is a complete joke that they still have the nerve to put a ridiculous sign on the elevator saying " Things are looking up for our elevators!" are you for real??!) .With only one working and even that is broken sometimes. What is worse in the evenings it is so full you can hardly find a machine. But what really bothers me it their customer service. After they get you into a 12 month contract you are pretty much no-one to them. I tried to get my brother to come with me to the gym 1 time during the 12 month membership ( 1 time, 1 single time and I have not brought absolutely anyone to that gym before, so they can hardly accuse me of taking advantage of they "fancy" club) and they said they can not let him in without him paying 20£ for it. When you sign up they tell you that they give you 4 free guest passes in the fancy brochures but apparently they are valid for 3 months only (what is the logic in that if you try to attract new members??!) and I had not used even a single one during the whole year. Still they had the nerve to ask my brother for 20 £ even though in most gyms the first time you go there used to be free (like in most gyms). I was so annoyed by their lack of help and the way they addressed my request that it cost them my membership. Instead of spending money on fancy brochures they should find out what is the most important marketing tool- taking care of your clients, not to follow blindly some ridiculous rules that make very little sense under any circumstances.

Several visits to Dove Spas already (Kensington & Mayfair) and I must say that it doesn’t disappoint. I booked a body polish, mud wrap & massage package for £60 in Kensington High St., the treatment was great, the therapist absolutely lovely & helpful (much needed when trawled to the shower covered in mud and wrapped in plastic sheets!). I had mistakenly thought I would access the Virgin Gym too (it was part of a different package booked last year, my fault) but the receptionist offered straightaway to halve the daily cover charge (down to £10) which really made my day and allowed me to use the pool and the free classes (Aquagym & Powerplate are great ones on saturdays). The small restaurants offers a buffet of hot/cold salads for under £7, free internet access in the lounge, chilled atmosphere – what else do you need to relax for a day?

I was very happy with every aspect of this spa and plan on returning. The skin analysis and complementary use of machines (high frequency) was wonderful and gave my skin excellent results. I have been to several Dove Spa locations and none of them ever disappoint.

I used a Wahanda voucher to get the "Drift Away" package comprising a body and scalp massage. Fine is the word I'd use to describe the treatment - average room, average therapist, average everything but the MASSIVE bonus is that they let me sneak it and use the pool, jacuzzi, steam etc. which are great. Lucy was the name of my therapist, she was pleasant but didn't really seem to have her heart in it (can't say I would either!). I got a better massage from the water jets, which suited me just fine. I left feeling refreshed and would definitely recommend it as a way to end up having a cheeky spa day with a couple of basic treatments. I also snuck into a meditation class which was a persian type of relaxation with simple exercises, like really easy Pilates really, it was fun to try something new.

I have been a member of Virgin Active for over 5 years. I have always enjoyed going to the gym and do so regularly to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The staff is courteous and helpful. However, a lot of the equipment has not been replaced in some time and does not function properly (tread mills). The steam room is old and has not been refurbished in many years. For what you pay to use the facilities it is lacking in terms of offering a truly premium service.
