If not the best massage, it definitely one of the best massages I've ever received so far. As a massage therapist myself I am often really picky and demanding, and the treatment at Urban Relaxation left me really satisfied with the end result. The place is based centrally and its easy to locate. Also the staff were really friendly and always ready to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who seeks a good treatment delivery and not just a cheap massage that doesn't leave you satisfied.

Few months ago i got a voucher For 1h massage at urban relaxation and felt like i went to heaven and came back. Best massage ever in London !
The knowledge and experience are conveyed through a firm and confident touch. Audrey is superb, she knows exactly what your muscles need and also she gives very helpful advices to maintain the relaxation effects and help muscle soreness .
I patiently waited for few months for UR to re open and it was well worth it, the new place is lovely!

The massage was good but the facilities could be better:

The room was cold and I thought the lighting in there should have been dimmer. The way the head-rest was positioned (not adjustable) was such that my head was higher than my body, putting some strain on my lower back (where I have a problem). I ended up putting my head on the bed itself instead which was not ideal as I had to turn my head to one side.

I was offered another massage, this time by Sofia who made sure that the room temperature was right and I was comfortable throughout. Her back massage was excellent, effectively loosening my muscle knot without causing pain. The customer service offered by Audrey is also top-notch.

Marzena gave me a deep tissue massage that was extraordinarily relaxing. I felt fantastically relaxed for the rest of the day & felt good for days afterwards. My back felt very much better also for about a week. I've now bought a package of four & I've give one of those to a friend. The prices are really good so I plan to have a massage on a regular basis. The only slight drawback is that when you arrive you are met at reception & then it's a bit of a walk down through a maze of corridors to reach the downstairs entrance to the rooms. However, for the quality of the treatment & great prices, it's well worth this minor inconvenience.

The massage was easily the best I've had. My therapist Saida? worked hard and did a good job or removing knots. As others have mentioned the facilities were a little basic so looking forward to seeing the new venue. Hopefully they might even serve some green tea.

Wife had massage with Audrey and agrees its one of the best she had. Good advice too.

Shame the timeout discount offer is only for new customers. That said I will go again.

Had an excellent deep tissue massage with Audrey. She really is very professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to get the "kinks" out of my back, shoulders and neck!
Urban Relaxation is a good place for affordable massages. They offer a good value, especially on their packages and off peak times.

The ambiance is a little off putting however as they are located above a barber shop. There aren't any signs in front of the shop so I am sure some customers can easily miss the location. They really should at least put a free standing sign advertising their services. The reception area and treatment rooms are clean but very bare bones basic and an unpleasant atmosphere. I am accustomed to going to massage studios that have a nicer spa type ambiance. It really makes a big difference! A lot is to be said for good presentation. The spa tables should have nice sheets instead of towels and instead of flimsy paper on the face rests, there should be a fluffy folded face towel.
It doesn't take much to throw a coat of paint, add some aromatherapy candles, some flowers and accessories, hang some pictures and decorate the place nicely. It just takes some creativity. Although the massage was excellent it really is about the whole package for me.

Thank you very much for your comments, I really do appreciate. We are working hard to provide the best treatment within an environment that could be more suitable. We don't have the pretention to ba a SPA (maybe later, you never know ;) And I want to take the opportunity to let you know that we are going to relocate within a few weeks! No barber shop, no noise just a great treatment in a great environment!!!
And by the way, I would like to thanks all the clients for their supports. We are still a very young company (less than a year old!) and it hasn't been easy all the time as you can imagine. But we are glad, we are moving forward, thanks to you all and would be delighted to welcome you in the new place!!!

I had a deep tissue massage. The facility was clean, the massage table was very comfortable and the ambience was good. The therapist was lovely - very welcoming and attentive. And the massage itself was great - she did a really good job working out all of the knots in my back and shoulders.

I'd certainly recommend going to Urban Relaxation. I've had two massages here and am definitely planning to go back. In the past I had regular sports massages as part of marathon training which has helped with performance and recovery. This time I was going because I was recovering from a fall and desperate to exercise but worried about hurting myself. I was super impressed, not just with the friendliness and treatment which was tailored to me, but also the explanation of what needed to be done to aid recovery and advice for what I could do on my own. I really felt like I was in the hands of an expert (literally and metaphorically). Added to that, the price is good and background music beautiful, so all in all - excellent!

A great massage that really worked on the knots on my back and uncovered tight spots in my arms I never knew were there. Audrey is absolutely lovely and puts you right at ease straight away as well as taking time to find out a bit about you so she knows what to focus on. She gave me good, knowledgeable advice on stretching/exercise I should be doing as well which was really helpful and she clearly knows her stuff.
As mentioned previously its above a barber, I couldn't find it at my first visit, but once you've walked through and got upstairs its a calm little haven.
I've recommended her to several people and will definitely be going back again, thank you :)

I had a deep tissue massage with Audrey and it was fantastic. I have had many massages through Time Out offers but this is the only one I would and will go back. And I was not put off by the entrance through the barber shop - this is London!

A fantastic massage from Saida. Took the time to ask what and where was achey. I wanted to to relax but also have knots and aches worked on and she found a perfect balance. Don’t be put off by the entrance (walking though a barbers) The area they have upstairs is smart and relaxed.

After feeling slightly sceptical about having to go through barber shop to get to Urban Relaxation we were warmly welcomed by the therapists. Both Louise and Saida were very polite and professional. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed a Swedish massage and would highly recommend the services from Urban Relaxation. Good experience and Customer Service. I would say the only downside is hearing the barber downside but it didn't spoil the experience too much.

i booked a time out offer for a swedish massage, but after talking a bit with Audrey regarding all my back and knee problems, I'm sure she did more than that. she gave me one of my best massage ever.

I really appreciate the time Audrey took
- before the massage in order to know what I was looking for and what I needed
- during the massage focusing on the area I needed
- after the massage when she explained what sha had found and why she focused on some specific area. really appreciate that as it is so rare to get such a feedback

thank you would recmmande it and will going back again !!

I bought a deep tissue massage with a Time Out voucher. Audrey my therapist was very thorough and discussed my medical history with me beforehand. I have had many deep tissue massages in the past and I have to say this is one of the best that I've ever had. She listened to what I needed. It was great value as I only paid £30 and if I can get another deal then I will definitely be returning.

I brought a Timeout offer for an hour long Swedish Massage at Urban Relaxation because I get really knotted shoulders and they were located conveniently close to my office. Upon arriving I was a little out off by having to walk into a Barbers with no sign I was in the right place. But I overcame this initial hostility through the very friendly greeting I received from my therapist Saida. She was jovial and open which made relaxing into the massage very easy. She was consistent with her pressure and has done wonders for my stiff shoulders. I would highly recommend going - just know it looks a little less than savory on your arrival.

I went with a friend as we both bought the voucher through time out for a 1-hour massage.
I had Audrey for my massage. She was very nice and it was a comfortable atmosphere. After the massage, she explained which parts she focused more and where I had the most problems. I would definitely go back! :)

I was given a massage as a birthday present and what a treat!

Audrey was great, made me feel really relaxed from first meeting her; she was so warm and very calming nature.

I had a couple of areas on my back that were really tight and Audrey worked on them well, my pain level wasn't all that high and she was very good at sensing how far to go with out hurting me. The oils she also used were fantastic!

After the massage she also took the time to speak to me about by back and exercises that I could do to look after the areas that she had worked on, which I found really helpful!

I would definitely recommend Audrey to anyone who wants a great massage by someone who really knows what they are doing in a relaxed environment. My back feels soo much better, just after a one hour massage! Amazing Lady!!!

I bought a Time Out voucher for a Swedish Massage at Urban Relaxation. I went to see Audrey with a very sore and tight upper back and shoulders. After asking lots of questions to determine where my issues laid, she worked absolute wonders! I have felt so much better since going two weeks ago. She also gave me lots of advice as to how to avoid having the same problems in the future. I will be going back soon and would highly recommend Audrey.
