Tylney Hall Hotel part of Elite Hotels

Tylney Hall truly is the ideal retreat for a relaxing pamper break. Set around a charming courtyard, complete with fountain, the Health Suite has everything needed for a relaxing break. Our Beauty Salon offers a wide range of treatments, individually tailored to your own needs and our professional, knowledgeable and helpful therapists are on hand to offer any advice you may need.

Tylney Hall is a Grade II listed mansion with beautiful gardens of significant historic interest. The current house dates from 1898 and served as a hospital during the First World War, later becoming a private school. Today, it’s one of England’s most comfortable and characterful country house hotels.

For summer days, the outdoor pool, tennis courts and croquet lawn compete for your attention. In winter the gym and indoor pool, which features a whirlpool, offer a more comfortable workout. There is an 18-hole golf course adjacent to the hotel. Horse riding, archery and clay pigeon shooting can easily be arranged. A sauna, game of snooker or simply a stroll around the beautiful gardens and wooded trails can be yet another way to relax at Tylney Hall. Set in 66 acres of parkland and gardens, we will be delighted to accommodate a wide variety of leisure activities.

beautiful hotel, setting, atmosphere , food & v attentive staff
spa and gym are a bit basic and small - & hotel room was lacking a few basic things - like properly placed mirror, spa slippers (despite asking) but otherwise -a great place.
is probably stunning in summer as freezing January didn't showcase it probably.

We had a lovely break. The hotel was amazing and the staff were lovely. The Indian head massage was also very good and very relaxing. The only (small) downside was that the jacuzzi in the pool wasn't hot and the saunas were seperate for men and women meaning a couple can't enjoy one together. Overall, a very successful trip.

A beautiful hotel in lovely grounds, the staff were excellent, the food was delicious and the room was the nicest I've stayed in - large and nicely decorated. The 'Spa' is not really a spa though (nor do they advertise it as one in fairness), just an unattended pool/jacuzzi and saunas in the changing rooms. The treatment area is a short dash across the courtyard and we had to ask for robes so we could get there without changing/freezing. The treatment was nice but it's a shame the areas aren't more joined up and the pool area would benefit from a bit of a re-vamp. Overall excellent value for money for the room/dinner and the treatment but not exactly what I'd call a Spa retreat.

Biggish hotel, but felt personal. The staff were fantastic always available when you needed them and even when you didn't realise yourself you needed them! Very friendly and personable. Room was great and we enjoyed the general atmosphere around the hotel.

I don't usually give a review but some of the aspects of this weekend were particularly bad. The concierge were terrible, not helpful at all with one word replies. One of my spa steatments was the worse I have ever had. It felt like she had never given the treatment before. Some of the food at the bar was bland (especially the sandwiches), definitely not worth the £8 for it! Finally, the spa area was disappointing, the jacuzzi was cold, and when we asked the staff where it was located most of them didn't even know!

When for spa night, it was good experience but couple of things could have been better. Service and place are great. We played Tennis but forgot our Tennis gear so borrowed from the hotel, racket was good but balls were very poor, The Whirlpool was not cool and the 3 course evening meal we had lacked flavour and juiciness, pork was overcooked.
Else all in all good experience.

The hotel building is beautiful, the grounds surrounding the building are amazing, the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had the cheapest bedroom available and were amazed at the quality and space provided. The beds were so comfortable. Our spa treatments were amazing and my partner & I were left very relaxed. The only issue is that we went as a couple to have a nice relaxing couple time but the sauna's are separated in the male and female changing rooms so we couldn't share that moment together and the gym has dated basic equipment in a rather small room. The indoor swimming pool area was lovely and warm and also very relaxing.

We had a fantastic 2 days at Tylney Hall Hotel. The offer from Last minute was exceptional value and the service provided by the therapists, reception team, events team and all the dinner/concierge team was second to none. We will definitely be back, hopefully to stay longer next time. Perfect place to go for 5 star service, relaxation and beautiful surroundings.
