Tylney Hall Hotel part of Elite Hotels

Tylney Hall truly is the ideal retreat for a relaxing pamper break. Set around a charming courtyard, complete with fountain, the Health Suite has everything needed for a relaxing break. Our Beauty Salon offers a wide range of treatments, individually tailored to your own needs and our professional, knowledgeable and helpful therapists are on hand to offer any advice you may need.

Tylney Hall is a Grade II listed mansion with beautiful gardens of significant historic interest. The current house dates from 1898 and served as a hospital during the First World War, later becoming a private school. Today, it’s one of England’s most comfortable and characterful country house hotels.

For summer days, the outdoor pool, tennis courts and croquet lawn compete for your attention. In winter the gym and indoor pool, which features a whirlpool, offer a more comfortable workout. There is an 18-hole golf course adjacent to the hotel. Horse riding, archery and clay pigeon shooting can easily be arranged. A sauna, game of snooker or simply a stroll around the beautiful gardens and wooded trails can be yet another way to relax at Tylney Hall. Set in 66 acres of parkland and gardens, we will be delighted to accommodate a wide variety of leisure activities.

Tylney Hall is a lovely place to stay and the grounds are amazing, however, if you are looking for a spa break you may be disappointed. The sauna is tiny and can only fit 2-3 people in comfortably which at peak time is a problem, especially as there is no steam room as an alternative. The swimming pools are fine but overcrowded as used by hotel guests as well as spa guests. All good feedback for the treatments our group had.

This hotel was a perfect retreat for a romantic luxury spa break. The room was lovely, as were the treatments and the food. The outside swimming pool was perfect. We will remember our stay very fondly.

The staff in the lounge were so bad it was almost funny. We asked two people to bring menus, neither did so we moved inside where we continued to be ignored. Once our drinks were made they sat on the bar whilst about 5 waiters moved around them seemingly doing nothing. I actually went up to the bar at one point to ask if I could carry them to the table myself.
Another 3 couples came in after us and had the same treatment (was nice to know it wasn't just us!)

This is a beautiful place to come for the weekend. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. The beauty spa staff were great but as a spa weekend I found that the facilities were just laking a bit and just to many kids about for my liking due to the bank holiday weekend which made sitting round the pool noisy and impossible to get a bed at the outdoor pool.

Lovely hotel, amazing food, staff are very friendly. Unfortunately the sauna / steam rooms were broken when we visited. Otherwise perfect.

I would recommend this place to anyone. Was absolutely wonderful. Exceeded my expectations by far. Only thing was that the spa facilities especially the changing rooms and sauna were quite small. The whirlpool is quite uncomfortable and could do with an upgrade. Food was so good I can still taste it now! Staff were amazing! I will definitely be going back in the future!

A wonderful hotel which feels more like a 5 star. It's very rare to find a hotel with an outdoor pool and such breathtaking grounds.

Grounds we're amazing and staff so friendly !
We will be going back next month.
Only thing I would say when we asked to go to the local pub we we're sent to one recommendation of receptionist witch certainly wasn't local and £30 in taxi, so just insure it is a local your going to for a bite to eat.
Over all 5*

Absolutely amazing in every regard. I only wish the jacuzzi was warmer than the pool. Other than that, I cannot rave about this place enough.

The hotel was lovely. Room was big and clean. My massage was very good. Food was good as well. Only let down was the pool really. It is a bit small and cold. Plus there was alot of families and was difficult to separate children playing from adults relaxing. Over all it was ok.

Overall Tylney Hall was an enjoyable place to visit, although fell slightly short on delivering the full spa experience. The treatments were a very good standard but the other facilities were considerably below par. The pool too small, separate saunas for the ladies and gents, which was not ideal for a couple and the temperature of the jacuzzi was Luke warm at best. The food was very tasty, but we found some of the staff to be somewhat snobbish which considering the price was totally unacceptable.
