I have been recommending the hotel to everyone who asked about my weekend! Fantastic break with great facilities and the staff were the perfect mix - attentive and unobtrusive. I can't speak highly enough of the spread eagle.

Fantastic afternoon tea for two plus massage in this countryside venue. Massage really relaxing and facilities really clean and never felt cramped or busy. Staff really friendly and welcoming, and the afternoon tea was superb in a wonderful period building. Would recommend.

I visited in early March and it was a bright spring day. The sun light hitting the spa glass made it heat up like a green house. There needs to be some ventilation to manage the temperatures better - especially considering what it will be like in the summer!
The photos of the swimming pool used on the company website makes the pool appear much larger than it actually was and I found that deceiving and disappointing when I arrived. The changing rooms were far too small for the numbers of guests using the facilities. At points it was overcrowded and frustrating for many guests including myself. The massage was nice but it was quite repetative and too much oil was used so it just felt quite slippery and not really moving my skin or muscles.
My friend & I were also over-charged for 2 drinks we bought and I had to get the manager to change it, which felt awkward, unnecessarily.

we had a lovely day. Treatments were amazing, not enough room to change once out of pool!! lockers and people trying to get in and out wasn't easy. pool got cold in afternoon. Food fantastic but never received my chunky chips but never told the waiter as i was probably better off without. Over all would do again.

Fabulous treatment and delicious 'light lunch'. Lovely setting.
BUT
Not enough loungers round the pool area and treatment rooms too close to reception desk - sometimes noisy.

Treatments excellent. Temple spa products which I had not heard of before. Food good in restaurant. Decided to get changed and eat in restaurant as conservatory area cold and uninviting at this time of year. Excellent staff. Loved looking up to the clouds in the jacuzzi which could be more powerful. Changing rooms on the small side and no privacy. Reception and waiting are in spa tiny. Gym not used but seemed to be small with mainly cardi machines. Wahanda deal fantastic value for money.

A bit Disappointing. Pretty hotel but overpriced food and poor service. Room not ideal if staying with a baby.

Good spa though!

After a frosty welcome upon entering the spa and a small discrepancy over mis-advertised access times, we were grateful it was empty as the spa and pool area is small, yet lovely.
Unfortunately despite pre-booking afternoon tea, we still had to wait over 45 minutes for this to arrive in a rather chilly entrance area. We asked to move our booked treatments because of this and were told it was fine, yet they were never actually moved.
The treatments were perfect & the spa staff very friendly.
Nice rural, quiet location with everything offered that you'd expect, just all on a smaller scale. Fine for the morning when it was quiet, yet not so relaxing when the pool was full of screaming children in the afternoon. Overall, we had a lovely day but several little things let this down.

My fiancé and I were treated to the afternoon tea with Spa/treatment. We both chose the therapeutic massage and found it very calming and relaxing. Spa facilities very pleasant, able to unwind on the loungers after a swim. Afternoon tea delicious and very filling. Overall a lovely afternoon.
