My wife and I stayed in this lovely country hotel 2nd - 3rd Jan 2016 for a overnight spa break. It is what you would expect from a 4 star hotel, and is in a beautiful, peaceful country setting. The rooms could probably do with a minor refurb in places, but overall was generally high quality throughout.
The spa was good and the treatments we received were great. The jacuzzi was broken, but we were compensated for this adequately, thank you very much Kim and Noel. This is what has brought my review from 4 stars up to 5 stars as we received excellent customer service from both of these managers.
The restaurant was fantastic and a big thanks to Kevin who made our evening meal that little bit extra special. All of the dining, bar, room service, reception and other staff were very professional and well trained in their profession.
I would highly recommend taking break here and we will return soon. Many thanks.
In beautiful surroundings, the hotel spa is small but perfectly formed for a short stay. We used the pool, steam room and jacuzzi all of which were clean and well kept. The changing rooms were good and we got towels, robes and slippers for the duration. There was tea and water available. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the woman who did my facial was very good and I left feeling extremely refreshed. We then had afternoon tea as part of our package, this was in the library overlooking the grounds. The view was beautiful and the food equally good. I would recommend the afternoon tea with treatment package.
From the moment you arrive at the Wood Hall Spa, you are literally treated like royalty! I was in London work mode and they really chilled me out. The amenities are fantastic, the gym and pool are gorgeous and everything is super-clean and well maintained.
I had an amazing Elemis facial by a fantastic therapist. She only prescribed me a product that was amazing for my skin, rather than try and sell me everything used during the treatment which is often the case at spas.
Thanks again for a fantastic experience, hope to come back with my girlfriends in the New Year as a treat.

Very relaxing, lovely staff with nice cream tea and a beautiful view. Swimming pool, steam room and spa tub all very enjoyable. Massage was a new experience for me, but I would have one again.
Knew the establishment having been to weddings and other celebrations in the past Had checked out other possible venues but Wood Hall was way out in front as far as I was concerned. I organised this as a birthday treat for a friend and we thought everything was first rate.
