What a disappointment! After months of getting dates togheter for a real girlie spoil ... and when we got there this was nowhere close to a SPA offer but more a tiny tiny spa (eg. offers treatments but no shared communual area) in a fitness centre.

Our treatment included the issue of robes, slippers but when we got to the spa, the issued us old gym washed out towels as our robes. Slipper = oversized flipflops eg they didn't even bother to ask what size you'd prefer. Can't say the staff was very bothered to make you even feel special!

We went for a really nice lunch and the staff in the restaurant was really nice - bonus!

Sadly I would never recommend this place to anyone and apart from quality time with my girlfriends we all left very disappoint as felt this place was false advertised as a "spa" place and not a gym with a spa front desk.

If you're looking to pamper and spoil yourself/ someone else/ or get together as a groups - go else where :-(

I had a lovely morning at the Thames Spa after booking a two-for-one package through Wahanda. I can't say it was easy getting booked in as they seem to get busy quickly and the reception is not always manned and a couple of emails I sent were not responded to but those were the only problems I had and when I did get through, they were very helpful.

We got a little lost driving there, as it is rather tucked away, but the staff were helpful when we called to explain we'd be a few minutes late and we were made welcome by the reception staff in the club entrance and in the spa. During this time, one of the helpful beauty therapists came to chat to us and explain the programme for our session, the facilities available and their location, We both opted to avoid the gym and headed for the swimming pool instead. The changing area was spacious, clean and well laid out with all the items you might require, even hairbands to wear in the pool!

The pool was nice and quiet on the Friday morning we chose to visit, with just four or five others, some swimming lengths and others just enjoying the water. I have to admit we didn't swim much but soon headed for the steam room and sauna, which were well maintained and really hot. A regular user of the club's facilities told us how much he liked it there and what a great club he thought it was.

We changed out of our swimwear into the slippers and gowns provided, had a late breakfast, which was very tasty, in the club's restaurant and then headed to the spa. The therapists were professional and friendly and explained everything well, so we knew what we had to do and felt comfortable. The massage was carried out in a shared room and the facials in separate rooms. The products (Pevonia, I think) were very nice and made my skin feel lovely; I wouldn't have minded learning a bit more about them and the treatment from the therapist, actually, and the massage was soothing and relaxing.

The whole experience was excellent and well worth the money and a bit of a journey to get there. I'd definitely go back there if it wasn't for the fact that there are so many places I'm longing to try!

I bought the 2 for 1 Total relaxation Package as a Mothers day present for myself and Mum. The spa is part of quite a big, modern building which also has a restaurant, gym, pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and. The spa is upstairs while the pool etc is all downstairs and as this is clearly some people's regular gym and we felt a bit out of place going up the stairs in big white fluffy robes. The sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi were near the pool as one would expect. We inadvertently went during half term and there were quite few kids running around so it wasn't quite the relaxing atmosphere I was expecting. The changing rooms were full of useful facilities including GHDs, cotton buds, a mini tumble drier (yes seriously) and a stand-up sun tan booth (which you could buy a token for).

The spa area is cosy and much more what I was expecting, the therapists very polite. From the picture on the website I was expecting our massages to be in the same room but we weren’t. It wasn’t a major drama but it made it feel more individual. The massage itself was excellent and thorough.

It was an enjoyable experience overall and Mum had a good time which was the main thing.

Myself and a friend had the 'Fish pedicure'. The package also included a leg massage and toe nail paint.
The fish pedicure was great and it created alot of laughter. The therapist who took care of us was very gentle and pleasant.
The only down fall was our lunch. We saw it had sat under the heat lamps for 10 minutes before I had to ask if it was ours. They sais they didn't know where it was going. It was all dry and looked terrible so we asked for new lunches. The chef wasn't too pleased but did replace them.
Would I go to the Thames Spa again? Probably, although I do live over the other side of London and could probably find a place closer to me.

What I really loved about this spa is that it has managed to make you feel really welcomed and relaxed but at the same time delivered treatments to a superb standard. Other spas I have visited sometimes can feel a little bit unfriendly - not so here. My therapist Lynsay was fab - she has great hands. I look forward to going back soon for some more luxury. Can't wait.
