I won a spa break at the Nutfield Priory off the Wahanda website. I visited there with a friend and we had a very relaxing time. The hotel is set within easy access of London, but once we were there it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, with amazing views of the countryside. Set in an old period building the hotel still has many traditional features, and a library full of old books. Dinner was lovely, with friendly querky waiters, the only complaint would be that they got our orders wrong first time round. The room was clean fresh and comfortable. Breakfast was of usual standard of a good hotel, and we really got to apprieciate the views. If we had had time I think there could have been some good country walks or other activities to do and places to visit nearby.
The spa itself was set slight away from the hotel, almost a different entity in a modern building. The staff were all very helpful.
I had a full body massage, which was relaxing, but would have been better if more pressure had been applied. I was also left afterwards in the room slightly confused as to where I should go, with no instruction or clothes to put on to get to the changing room.
In the spa there was a swimming pool, steam room and sauna, with classes avaliable. I chatted to a lady who was a regular at gym and she was very impressed with the spa and classes available.
