The Spa at Moonfleet Manor Hotel part of Luxury Family Hotels

Whether you want some time for yourself or to have time splashing about in the water, take time to visit our relaxing Treatment Rooms or Pool and Sauna.

There’s something for everyone be it, pampering grown ups or swimming lessons for the little ones or just some splash time fun for the entire family.

Moonfleet is a great big, friendly Georgian manor house, built a couple of hundred years ago for Maximilian Mohune (the Mohunes of Fleet became Moonfleet).

Sitting just behind Chesil Beach, with the Fleet Lagoon in between, this is a spectacular and magical location. The sense of light and tranquility is truly special.

Steeped in smuggling history, the House formed the backdrop for John Mead Falkner’s swashbuckling novel of the same name, where the book's hero, John Trenchard, discovered Blackbeard’s diamond and escaped the clutches of those nasty revenue men! Indeed, many of the Hotel’s 36 bedrooms carry the names of characters from the book. How many can you find?

A very nice spa break. Lovely grounds, family friendly. Nice pool but sauna almost an afterthought- no shower or drinking water tap. Good food - very expensive drinks.
Would still go back. Staff very friendly without exception. Overall would go back happily.

Brilliant getaway stay for couples, though wasn't aware it was a strong family orientated establishment but this wasn't an issue. Overall great experience, minor issues such as incorrect amount of treatments and dinner inclusion with packaged purchased but this wasn't the Manor's fault. Treatments and therapist was amazing, though would liked to have had some gym facilities. Sports/games area was amazing with everything from Table tennis, table football, actual football, tennis, skittles and many more.

My husband and I visited the MoonFleet Manor for our wedding anniversary in May and were so happy with the choice. It was far more than we'd expected. I've booked a few Spa breaks in the past and have generally been quite disappointed in one way or another. We couldn't fault Moonfleet. I did notice in some other reviews people complained about the hotel being worn/tired however we felt this just added to the character. The building is old so I wouldn't expect brand new interiors. Saying that the Spa/Massage area seemed very up to date. As for our room we had double aspect windows with the most amazing views and we both agreed we'd never been somewhere so peaceful... even though it accommodates families. We stayed in the Rocky Point room which only sleeps two people and is at the end of the corridor. I don't think the family rooms had quite as good a view but then you don't book a hotel for the view. Step outside and there's nothing but peace and tranquility. I rarely write reviews but this one was worth writing. Would highly recommend for couples or families. We plan to go back soon with our 2 and a half year old daughter.
