I have been to the hotel for long weekends a many times before and I have always enjoyment myself. The hotel and food are a bit pricey but the facilities make you forget about the cost. I recommend it.

I had a lovely day at Hanbury Manor. It was exactly what I expected and more. Really enjoyed the meal that came with my package too. Would book again and recommend.

Food was great, massage was also good. Although staff were abit slow in the restaurant for dinner. We had to raise our hand a few times in order to get noticed! However, still gave tip because our waiter was lovely. Also, room was a little dated and we couldn't open our window because it was locked, got very stuffy in the evening and when mentioned to staff, she just said 'oh okay'. Didn't really give an explanation until we asked the full question. Overall, a nice getaway, spa was a definite let down. There were children in the swimming pool splashing the water about and their parents were in the jacuzzi. There was only 1 jacuzzi so we had to wait until they were done, very small sauna room too. The spa was a let down.

Spa fine. problem was with the lunch room. Very cold no heating. Was in swimsit and robe and got gradually colder. Had to leave and warm up in sauna which took a while. Thought I had got a chill but seem ok. Not right to leave a warm atmosphere and go in a cold one.

Beautiful building in a lovely setting. The Oakes Grill was a little stark-I would have preferred to eat in one of the older parts of the hotel, especially for Breakfast when the grounds could be viewed. The Breakfast was superb, but the spa is a little tired-although the masseur was one of the best.

Great value deal if you go on a Sunday. The spa is not really luxurious but the pool is a decent size and the jacuzzi and sauna was perfect. The food is excellent. The grounds are lovely and the treatment was good. We were really impressed overall.

I love this spa because it is friendly and not too busy. The staff are there when you need them and leave you to your own devisces when you want to chill out. As it is part of a magnificant hotel it does not have some of the features which make places like Ragdale Hall amazing...for me the down side is having to get dressed for lunch as it has to be in one of the hotel restaurants...but that is the truly worst thing I can saw. The treatments are lovely...best pedicure I have ever had and I have awful feet :) Towels and robes are included and it is just a lovely experience...don't change a thing.

We recently booked the spa day at Hanbury Manor, which included massages for my friend and I. We had a great day and my massage was amazing. Lovely therapist, who was very skilled and knew what she was talking about. Nice touch was that she spent some time with me after the massage talking a few things through...great.

The facilities were nice and we liked that there was a single sex steam room off the female changing rooms. Pool is smaller than I imagined, so has potential of becoming quite packed. There also aren't that many relaxing chairs around and those that were there, people had reserved with their towels and gone off to do other things (some for a long time!), which was really frustrating, but can't really be a criticism of the venue...unless they could find a way to discourage this in some way.

We had lunch at one of the restaurants in the hotel and it was really expensive although may be to be expected of a 5 star hotel, although there wasn't an awful lot of choice on the menu. We also had to get back into our clothes half way through the day in order to do this, which was a bit annoying (I've been to places where food is available in the spa, or you can go in robes :)

Generally, the staff were really friendly and we had a lovely, relaxing day. Highlight was definitely the massage.
