Unlike previous visit the whole venue was cold ! Felt very uncomfortable trying to get warm . The staff were lovely but waited without explanation a long time for our slot . Also the fillings on the sandwiches were awful not worth £16 if were not included in the offer

We booked the spa afternoon tea experience. Facilities were a little tired, including the bar area sat in for our tea and one biscuit on arrival. Staff were welcoming and well organised. We were able to arrange our afternoon tea for an earlier sitting, which we appreciated. Afternoon tea was lovely. Disappointingly, we had to request the glass of champagne (as advertised in the the package) which turned out to be poor quality prosecco. This was a shame. I would have preferred it if the therapist didn't talk all the way through the treatment but overall we both enjoyed our back massage. This package is fairly good value but next time I think it would be worth paying slightly more.

This afternoon spa package was much better than I was expecting. The stars of the afternoon were the staff who were all lovely in both the spa and the bar. A special thank-you to the young man at the spa reception who was very helpful while I was on the phone to my sister who had got lost on the way.
After tea/coffee and a biscuit (my sister arrived a little stressed, so this was a great way to relax before our treatments), we were given robes and slippers and taken to have our back massages. We both thought our therapists (mine was called Steph) were very good. Then we spent two and a half hours by the pool. The only slight downside was that it's quite a small area although very nicely set up, and if it was crowded, it might not be so pleasant. However we were there on a Tuesday afternoon and it was quite empty, so we had no problem bagging ourselves a couple of loungers.
After a shower and change of clothes, we were served afternoon tea in the bar which was delicious, and we were several times offered tea/coffee refills. The hotel is comfortable and beautifully-decorated and overall we were both very pleased. Parking was a slight problem as they were very busy with what appeared to be business conferences, but there are more spaces at the back.
We both agreed we would definitely visit again!

The package bought for £55 was great value for money. We got a 30 min treatment thrown in and 15% off further treatments, a nice breakfast and a nice lunch.

The staff at the spa were brilliant and absolutley nothing was too much trouble. One lady stood out in particular as she initially told us there were more beauty appointment slots avilable than there actually were. However, she immediatley notified us of her mistake and then went over and above to fit both myself and my cousin in for a treatment we both really wanted.

I really appreciate that sort of service (i.e. honest with good customer skills). The spa itself is lovely, my only criticism was it needed more spa facilities and in particular the pool area didn't have enough loungers and seating. These were mostly hogged by the old timers having their morning dip. However, it wasn't a major issue at all (that may well be us in 40 yrs time!). Anyway we really really enjoyed our day and I would have no hesitation in recommending the spa or coming down again myself for another relaxing day.

My daughter gotr married at Moor Hall last June 14th [2008] i can honestly say that there is nthing to complain about at all the staff were superb, the food was excellent, the spa facilities were first class, and the accomodation above average, i would have no qualms in recomending this venue to anyone. Moor Hall gets a 10/10 from me and my family and freinds.
