The Salt Cave Earlsfield London part of The Salt Cave

The Salt Cave is chain of clinics across the UK (London, Kent, Milton Keynes, Edinburgh) where we reproduce, monitor and control the microclimate of a natural salt cave using a special medical device and technology, called Breeze Tronic Pro.

Salt Therapy is a clinically proven drug-free high dispersion saline aerosol microclimate treatment. It is a therapeutic method based on the principle of natural Salt Cave ’s microclimate, which is prolonged exposure to the specific microclimate of caves, salt mines. It is a method where dry salt aerosol plays an important role in the relief of health problems and is used for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, asthma, sinusitis and other respiratory problems.

Our mission is to help people (especially children and athletes) who are suffering from various respiratory illnesses such as bronchitis, sinusitis, asthma, hay-fever, pneumonia, wheezing, cold or cough with a drug-free solution (dry-saline aerosol HaloTherapy) which is free from the side-effects.

We are focusing on the source of the problem and not just suppressing the symptoms.

Our patients normally stop using their antibiotics, corticosteroid, inhalers, antihistamine and other drugs, not because we ask them to, but because they have become symptom-free.

The clinical state of 85% of the patients with mild and moderate bronchial asthma, 75 % with severe bronchial asthma, 98%- with chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis improved after Salt Therapy and benefits were shown to last up to 12 months. Drug usage was reduced in 57.5% of patients and 80% less dyspnoea was reported.

Some of the many benefits you could discover after Salt Therapy treatments:

  • Breath easier after just a few sessions
  • Alleviate sneezing, coughing, and shortness of breath
  • Decrease your dosage of prescription medications, or even stop taking medications altogether
  • Better handle triggers that provoke respiratory illnesses
  • Prolong remission times
  • Improve general health and quality of life

On arrival the reception desk personnel was very helpful and polite. The time spent in the actual Cave was calming and quiet, you find yourself taking a small snooze whilst taking in the Salt experience. The Salt Cave area was clean, tidy and host a variety of magazines/books to read whilst there (if so choose). My daughter and I have never had a Salt Cave experience, but I would reccomend to try and see if like to continue. Effects of such treatment is not an immediate one and you would need a few weeks/months attendance to gain utmost effect, but within a few days, you will notice some difference to your breathing/respiratory issues i.e. air-waves are clearer.

Does work but seem to have problems getting in the venue as staff don't turn up, machines broke or staff forget their keys and when I complain the manager never returns a call and now I have been told is on holiday with no-one to respond to my complaint. Most recent excuse is there are no staff to cover a day this week. That is not how a business is run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when we travel from out of town and try to fit in as many appointments as possible.

Really made a difference to my 5 year odd persistent cough after 3 sessions. Would certainly go again and recommend to anyone with a child with respiratory issues.

quite pricey, especially when they recommend 15-20 sessions but probably worth it in the long run to help with asthma.

I felt very at ease. My mind was put at rest with concerns that I had as the questions were answered professionally. I feel a sense of tranquility during the session. I have reently been diagnosed with COPD and am finding it difficult to cope as I have been active all my life. I guess I was expecting too much in a short space of time with regards to the salt cave experience, however I really have felt a difference after my 3rd visit. My only anxiety is thinking about and getting to work. I am working on that one, but overall, I am much clamer on a daily basis.

I would recommend it to anyone. In fact I am taking my neice and my daughter to the COPD open day for them to have a relaxing experience also.

The receptionist was incredibly unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. Yet she was smiles and laughs with a gentleman that came in after me. She gave me the 3rd degree about my not having a printed Groupon voucher and made my initial experience very unpleasant. I have since found out that ALL first sessions are in fact completely free and the fact that I paid for mine is a complete con.

I have since received 2 grovelling letters from Groupon offering a 2nd session. Lol don't trust all Groupon offers. Always check with the company first and research their costs etc. before you pay for anything. It turns out that Groupon and some of the companies they produce offers with are in fact charging for what are otherwise free goods or cheaper ones direct or from other outlets, this is now the 3rd in 2 weeks that I've spotted.

As for the therapy itself, as an avid therapy fan, I was a little disappointed. I have had a more healing experience on a sunny day at the beach and have felt more from my personal negative ioniser and oxygen cans. The atmosphere is dry and static and not humid like natural mines. I am in no doubt that all the miracle cure stories, particularly the ones from people who have had 1 or 2 visits can't be true. The therapy as I understand it is based on polish miners with long term exposure in salt mines and also war victims hiding, again long term, in salt caves. Pleasant but definitely needs long term financial and time commitment to have any significant effect imo. Cheaper to take day trips to the seaside and definitely more healing....but all that said...don't take my word for it...try it for yourself but make sure you get your free session, don't be a sucker like me and pay for the free session lol! And don't take any crap from the staff.

My nasal tubes were blocked up prior to visiting here but flowed freely after the visit. It's a place to simply lie down and completely switch off for an hour or more. A surreal all white experience. Discount was offered for a follow up multiple visit package - a pricey luxury otherwise.
