The Salt Cave Edinburgh part of The Salt Cave

The Salt Cave is chain of clinics across the UK (London, Kent, Milton Keynes, Edinburgh) where we reproduce, monitor and control the microclimate of a natural salt cave using a special medical device and technology, called Breeze Tronic Pro.

Salt Therapy is a clinically proven drug-free high dispersion saline aerosol microclimate treatment. It is a therapeutic method based on the principle of natural Salt Cave ’s microclimate, which is prolonged exposure to the specific microclimate of caves, salt mines. It is a method where dry salt aerosol plays an important role in the relief of health problems and is used for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, asthma, sinusitis and other respiratory problems.

Our mission is to help people (especially children and athletes) who are suffering from various respiratory illnesses such as bronchitis, sinusitis, asthma, hay-fever, pneumonia, wheezing, cold or cough with a drug-free solution (dry-saline aerosol HaloTherapy) which is free from the side-effects.

We are focusing on the source of the problem and not just suppressing the symptoms.

Our patients normally stop using their antibiotics, corticosteroid, inhalers, antihistamine and other drugs, not because we ask them to, but because they have become symptom-free.

The clinical state of 85% of the patients with mild and moderate bronchial asthma, 75 % with severe bronchial asthma, 98%- with chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis improved after Salt Therapy and benefits were shown to last up to 12 months. Drug usage was reduced in 57.5% of patients and 80% less dyspnoea was reported.

Some of the many benefits you could discover after Salt Therapy treatments:

  • Breath easier after just a few sessions
  • Alleviate sneezing, coughing, and shortness of breath
  • Decrease your dosage of prescription medications, or even stop taking medications altogether
  • Better handle triggers that provoke respiratory illnesses
  • Prolong remission times
  • Improve general health and quality of life

Thought I'd give The Salt Cave, Edinburgh a try. It was a lovely relaxing environment. I had been suffering with a bad cold and thought that this therapy would be beneficial, but I imagine that you would have to have several treatments to see any significant health improvement. You can choose to read or just sit back and relax or drift off to sleep. Overall, a nice relaxing experience.

Visited The Salt Cave witha Wahanda voucher. Was suffering from a cold, so I thought it might benefit me and I was interested in seeing what it involved. Overall, it was a relaxing experience, but I think it would probably take further visits to see any health benefits.
