There was only 4 very small spa rooms, including the sauna etc so only one couple at a time could enter each. There was no pool which I'd read previously but with only 4 rooms I feel a pool was necessary as it felt quite crowded. However the full body massage was very enjoyable, friendly staff and nice healthy lunch. Overall was a good experience but perhaps not value for money.

I visited this spa in May but I am pressed to air my experience as I am incredibly concerned with the competence of the staff, management and the manner in which my complaint was handled. I would never go back and would recommend clients go elsewhere for waxing. I did have high expectations for this 'spa' and I booked in a full leg and bikini wax before my holiday. The décor and atmosphere in reception was serene and inviting and I was looking forward to a high-end service before my holiday the next day. However when I got to the room to undress for the treatment, the lights were dull and suitable for a massage than a wax. The therapist used a wax that dripped everywhere and I had asked her a few times when I saw that she was struggling if she could see properly in that light, as she had previously said we could move, but she showed no inclination to and said it was 'fine'. I had also asked her to do the bikini line however she only waxed the two front portions either side of my knickers and NOT the knickerline. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a bikini after that! After seeing her struggle for an hour and a half to wax my legs (I didn't have an awful lot of hair) with that sticky wax, it was then she complained about the wax and said it's the first time she's ever used it and that she doesn't really do waxing often. Had I known this, I wouldn't have proceeded with the treatment, wasted an hour and a half and would have certainly gone elsewhere. Whilst paying at the till, I expressed my concerns and was told by the receptionist that she'd take off the price of the bikini wax and that no one really enjoys waxing anyway but please don't complain about the therapist (presumably her friend) to the manager. I was quite appalled that the therapist had been asked to wax clients when she clearly wasn't suitably trained and I would have expected a good standard from that particular establishment. To add more concern when I went home to shower and clean the remaining sticky wax off my body, I saw long hairs that hadn't been removed and I had to shave them! I do wonder what the therapist had spent an hour and a half doing!
I called several times during the following weeks to speak directly to the manager and was told she was in a meeting or busy so I resorted to writing an email to the manager directly. The response I got was a voicemail saying that I had my bikini wax refunded so that's all they can do and without any acknowledgement of my concerns. Very poor service but also absolutely appalled by the manager's response and she didn't feel it necessary to speak directly with a concerned customer as she felt her staff had resolved the situation.

Enjoyed a relaxing spa day here. Staff are competent and very friendly, The two massage treatments I had were excellent. The light lunch served was good and they have an excellent relaxation room. I'll certainly go again.

I recently visited this spa for a rejuvenating spa day. When I arrived the receptionist so welcoming and friendly and explained to me where the facilities were and where to come for my lunch. She also offered me to upgrade my back massage to a hot stone back massage for just £10! The therapist was amazing! Massage was great and the facial was so relaxing!
All the facilities were easy to use and clean. It's great that they have hair driers and straighteners too as I didn't think to bring these.
Overall an amazing experience. I will definitely be back.

Check in was very slow. The staff were not very good at giving 4 star service. We ordered lunch and it took them 70 minutes to serve 7 sandwiches and a bowl of soup. The evening meal was poor and the service was very slow. The drinks were very expensive. I was given a key card for a room that was someone else's which was embarrassing and we had to change rooms. Overall a very disappointing and poor stay.

Extremely disappointing. Money taken from us WITHOUT AUTHORISATION. Showers leaking all over floor. Toilets didn't work and one was blocked. Dirty cups left lying around. Quoted on phone £40 for treatment and then told £50 on the day. No swimming pool - website is deceptive which spa manager agreed. Even the receptionist agreed that she understood our disappointment with the experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Elemis products and treatments were lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed our spa day. The Spa facilities were on the lower floor and you could only hop in and out the different hot and cold rooms as no pool to lounge by. But excellent value for money.

The treatment and the lunch was good, but like other reviews say there is no swimming pool, not even a small jacuzzi or hot tub. The changing room and spa is on a different level to the treatment area and although there are herbal tea and water available I would have liked to be able to order a coffee or tea during my spa day. When we arrived the girl at reception has told us that we have not pre-booked our treatment and they might not be able to fit us in, and then she found someone to do both of our massages, I didn't really understand why she had to scare me like that especially as when I got home my husband told me that he has indeed booked the time. ;-(

I took my mum to this spa for a treat and unfortunately it was quite a disappointing experience:
1. The spa facilities were quite basic and the steam room didn't have much stream
2. The 'lunch provided' was pretty much an unedible bento box which had a very poor selection of very plain chicken and rice, some museli which had been sat in yogurt for a long time and no vegetarian option was provided
3. The relax room was really nice but there were used tea cups and mugs all over the place and beds that had been left by previous guests and not made up with any new sheets, towels etc. Also staff members could be heard loudly talking on the phone as well as a manager coming in and talking very loudly outside the room [which could be heard by all guests in the room!]
4. The massage was okay, my mum had Laura who she said was excellent. My masseuse was not as good and it felt like she did the minimum required, when asking me to get undressed and get on the table she left the room for quite a substantive amount of time which effectively shortened the massage time etc

Know this probably sounds like quite a harsh review but these things could be easily sorted which would improve the spa 10-fold!

I thought the day was ok, when we arrived didn't receive a warm welcome was really left to work things out for ourselves, also if we wanted something we had to ask, after the day had a mix up between last minute and the hotel yet it was left to me to deal with. Wouldn't go again better spa days out there

Terrible experiance i paid £279 for my parents for a spa day and to stay the night, first problem was it says for a couple its £89 but in small print it says per person but a couple is made of TWO! So that price is suppose to be for the 2 people in the couple secondly i couldnt attend the date i booked due to memeber of my family being rushed to hospital and the spa were not helpful at all i wasnt allowed to change the date and did not get a refund so i lost out on £279 very bad service i would not recomend to anyone unless you can afford to loose money like that as i cant i had to save up yo send my parents for their anniversary and they did not even get to go
