Great place, which had recently opened when I went. Staff were well-trained and quickly understood the haircut I wanted.
Would go back, although slightly pricey without wahanda deal.

Sylvia was amazing, very friendly and chatty but also super helpful and gave me the best haircut! The huge glass of wine helped, but her consultation before shampooing was spot on and she made sure to ask me throughout the cut how short I wanted it, whether I liked it, etc. It looks great, very easy to work with and flattering - exactly what I wanted! Will definitely be going back to see Sylvia :) xx

She liberated my hair and my mornings too! I went to Kings Canary with low expectations. I had previously been a client of a terribly pretentious hairdresser in my previous town. It was a nightmare, a very unfriendly manner and it made me feel like I wasn’t supposed to be there. It’s a common experience I think, you walk in, its all a bit showy and cold, you say briefly what you want doing in an incoherent way and then they cut your hair and there isn’t really any love. With King’s Canary its so different. Its so friendly, it’s still very London with on trend mags, free coffee/wine etc. but the stylists are actually good… really good! My hairdresser is Sylwia and I can’t see that changing for a while. A couple of years ago I went to my hairdresser asking for a haircut without the use of straighteners (a foreign concept I grant you). They just couldn’t do it, my hair is pretty unruly. I gave up hope that I could live without straighteners until I met Sylwia. She told me straight my haircut was weird and disjointed, I liked her honesty, then she did something that liberated me. She told me I should let my hair be natural and gave me a cut that I could deal with and didn’t necessitate the use of burning straighteners! Liberation! I have had countless compliments and she has allowed me at least 20 minutes extra sleep each morning – worth the money threefold. Long live Kings Canary the most comfortable and skilled hairdressers around.

I followed my wonderful hairdresser, Vicki, when she joined The Kings Canary, so it's been an added bonus to have a great cut in such a relaxed and well designed environment.

It was relaxed and easy-going which I appreciated. Lovely staff who seem to genuinely get on, and who seem to like their customers (seriously, in some places I have been in into its often not the case) The cut was good and only now, after a few more days, can I see how good it is as I wear it in different styles. I generally have very difficult hair to cut (long thick and dry) and so I am relieved to find a London hairdresser who can cut my hair. Stanley took his time and I didnt feel rushed or awkward. Friendly bunch

Top rate!! excellent hair styles that last.... a true test to a great haircut is if it grows out well and I was so impressed with my last cut Ive already been back. The place is unpretentious and stylish. The people are lovely and welcoming. Really can't see how anyone could fault this salon!

Are you a bloke? Do you need a haircut? Are you fed up with keep ending up with old short back & sides?
If the answers are yes, yes & yes then this is the place for you. I'm totally chuffed with the cut I got from The King's Canary. The whole experience was really comfortable and, dare I say it, fun. In short, I'll be going back.

One word of warning: don't mention extreme fishing.

I always struggle to find hair salons which I like and who do a good job - my hair is thick, dark and long so a bit of a nightmare. But I was so impressed with the service at The Kings Canary - such a great place! Stanley was a total dream, so friendly and he put so much effort into making sure I liked what he was doing, even staying half an hour later than the official closing hours! Really happy with the result and I will definitely be returning, and recommending this salon to everyone.

Lovely experience at The King's Canary - I was made to feel very welcome by everyone and was delighted with my hair (cut and highlights). Claire did a fantastic job with the colour and Stanley did a lovely cut. I'll definitely be coming back!!

What can I say? As always, Stanley delivered a great cut.

A really cool team on a great venue (even with the strange music they were playing...).

Definitely will come back for my next cut.

The service at The Kings Canary was excellent, the hairdressing was top quality and I felt my hairdresser Claire really knew what to do with my thick unruly hair and to top it off it is a really lovely clean salon with a stylish interior and great music!

Recently had a haircut with Sylvia, who was great offering me ideas on the style that would suit me. She took time and care over my haircut and I walked away loving it. I will definately be back! Thanks.

Had a simply wonderful experience trying out this salon. The cut and colour were fab and the overall experience - in the salon and over the phone - really impressed me (and I'm pretty picky)! My stylist, Sylvia was thoughtful about what would work for my hair now and longer term - a refreshing change from the usual 60 seconds chat then off to the basin. I'm a very happy customer and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

I'm so glad I found this place! These days it seems like any hairdresser can charge you fifty quid for a haircut without having a clue what theyre doing, but this is the best haircut I've ever had. I'll definately be going back here. Also, it's a really nice salon and they have lolly pops!
