The Islington Chiropractic Clinic

Established in 1998, the Islington Chiropractic Clinic has, and continues to play a major role in improving the health of thousands of people with conditions ranging from back pain, neck pain, musculoskeletal complaints, sports injuries, asthma, digestive problems, fertility/gynaecological problems and children's ailments.

The focus of our health centre is to provide quality chiropractic care that uses a variety of specific chiropractic manipulation techniques to remove dysfunction from the spinal joints. This removes interference to the nervous system by taking away 'pressure' on the spinal nerves thereby allowing the body to reach it's optimum health.

Complementing this approach, the other significant therapies offered by the clinic include acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Deep Tissue Massage, chiropody and podiatry.

Rehabilitation and core stability training may also be part of your health program if necessary. It is one of the objectives of the clinic to ensure that whatever your health issue, you are correctly and completely diagnosed and thereby directed to the most appropriate practitioner for you complaint or to the therapy of your preference.

If your practitioner determines your health concern cannot be addressed completely within the clinic, the centre has an excellent referral system to outstanding medical specialists, dentists/orthodontists, nutritionists, and personal trainers with whom the team work closely.

The team are very approachable and welcome any enquiries regarding the therapies offered or questions about any way they can help you maximize your health!

We Aim

  • To provide a friendly and personal service that is professional and tailored to your specific needs.
  • To ensure that you feel free to discuss concerns about your condition or any aspect of the care that you receive at this clinic.
  • To ensure that we are up to date with the most modern techniques and innovations in the complimentary care we provide by maintaining membership to the appropriate professional associations and attending seminars both in the UK and abroad.

After a moment or two of confusion to find the clinic within a warren of residential streets beyond Old Street, the hunt was more than worthwhile. A comfortable treatment experience all-round and some reassuring professional advice. I haven't had a regular chiropodist for some months due to the need to squeeze appointments round work but am so glad to discover this clinic as feet need continuous TLC for good running results. The extra value provided by the Wahanda deal made this offer an ideal option for pre-summer race preparations - thanks very much.

I was really happy with my consultation. The therapist was very informative and I've taken a lot of her advice with me. She told me how to strengthen my feet, how to prevent inflammation in my feet due to walking and standing and recommended me some insoles. I am now rolling my feet on bottles with frozen water to help soothe my sore foot. I would definitely go back.

Bought this voucher originally for the chiropractic session but having read the reviews on here, was put off and went for Podiatry instead as my feet could do with a little TLC before being exposed in light of the recent weather.
Booking was easy and the receptionist very friendly. The clinic is a little out of the way, but armed with a map it wasn't too difficult to find.
Heema, the therapist was on time, very friendly and got straight onto removing all the hard skin from my heels and asked me if I had any issues with my feet.
Apart from a tiny corn I had no other complaints so once she had my feet as smooth as she could, she quickly examined my feet standing up and that was that.
The session only lasted about 30 minutes (rather than 60 as indicated) but I suppose there was nothing more for to do, as I didn't really have a reason to be there.
Thus the voucher wasn't great value for me but at least I'm ready fot those flip-flops now...

The therapist was very helpful and the treatment non invasive and painless but as I do not have any real ailments the treatment was 10 mins shorter than the allocated time. However, my feet looked better after treatment than when I arrived. The staff were friendly and the clinic clean and tidy.

The clinic is quite a walk from the Angel tube station - about 10-15 mins - not a pretty location but the treatment I had was superb. The podiatrist was excellent and very gentle and transformed my feet. She also gave me a wonderful tip as I have two or three nails which are discoloured and she recommended I use neem oil which has really helped. I will definitely be going back even though it was quite a trek, it is well worth it.

Staff were very friendly and the therapist Hema was extremely nice and knowledgeable. It was an excellent service and a place I would go back to if further treatment was needed. Good value.

I bought my Wahanda voucher to be able to go to this clinic for a chiropractic MOT. It being several years since anyone (a cranial osteopath) had looked at my back. Unfortunately, the clinic appears only really interested in you in as a longer term recurring visitor. So once once the therapist had apparently found little seriously amiss and noted that my home address was in South London, the session ended after a lowe back stretching exercise on the table and the issue of one A4 sheet showing back stretching positions. So after all the form filling and chat, the "therapy" lasted about 10 minutes and the session finished after 40 minutes (supposed to be an hour). The therapist said, in effect, that she didn't want to start any treatment that might cause a reaction without me being on a treatment programme. Maybe fair enough, but I am sure that something more could have been done in those other 20 minutes.

It is dissapointing when you only have 10 minutes or so from the practitioner. Finding one who takes a personal interest and is willing to be sure all of your needs are met is important. I also do not hesitate (if I sense they are finished with the adjustment) to point out another issue and ask them to check another area as well which they may not have done if I did not point it out. Better luck next time.

I went to The Islington Chiropractic Clinic yesterday and was extremely pleased with my experience from start to finish. When initially booking my appointment, the receptionist was very helpful and was in no way miffed by my voucher-based booking. She even told me that there was free parking facilities available.
I was seen by Hema Patel, who was very friendly and extremely informative. She made me feel at ease and I was assured that she knew exactly what she was doing.
I definitely recommmend to anyone who is thinking of visiting a chiropractor or podiatrist. This was my first visit to a specialist, but will by no means be my last. In fact I've actually advised all of my family to visit Hema, who is also available at the The Stanmore Chiropractic Clinic.

The venue was adequate, although a bit of a hassle to get to from the city. Angel tube station was not too far. The therapist was lovely and gentle. I guess it is hard to give a proper evaluation as I didn't go for my podiatry session with any real problems with me feet - it was more of just a check-up and chat. The therapist removed all my hard skin which was great and was seemed quite knowledgeable. Would definitely go back to see the therapist if I did develop any issues with my feet.

The venue is situated in a 70s type shopping mall which threw me a little having been spoilt terribly by my previous Wahcanda offers. The receptionist was friendly in spite of having a hacking cough and cold. The therapist advised me on how best to treat my feet etc and proceeded to treat them by getting rid of the dry skin. Once that finished, that was literally the end of my treatment which lasted just under 35 mins (including the consultation and the short wait in the waiting room) There were no frills at all and I was left a little disappointed.

First visit to a chiropodist and I would really recommend the experience. I did not have any problems
but the therapist can advise if they think problems could start. I liked it better than a pedicure my feet felt wonderful. The therapist was lovely.

I went for a Podiatry mainly to remove some dry skin on me heels. The place is a bit of a walk from the tube but was easy to find. After being welcomed, I was led to a small therapy room where the therapist took great care of my heels. It is not a beauty treatment but rather a medical treatment and left my feet in great shape.

Ok so I've never ever had chiropractor treatment done before as each session is very expensive (at least £40+++), so when I came across this offer via Wahanda I jumped on the first opportunity to purchase the voucher. Unfortunately the when I went for my appointment, I was told that the Wahanda voucher will only give me a consultation session and not a proper chiropractic session. The therapist was good, not sure about the location, but because of the hefty amount of money I would have to pay for each treatment, I don't think I could afford to go back :-(

With the special offer I got on Wahanda, this was really good value. The chiropodist did a really good job on my feet, in particular carefully trimming away all the hard skin on my heels which had really built up over the summer. I also asked her lots of questions on foot and nail care, and she gave very good comprehensive answers, and we had a good chat. She also taught me how to maintain my feet at home, so I could return less often, rather than giving me the hard sell and trying to make me come back to see her regularly. It's 2 weeks later now and my feet are still feeling baby soft and gorgeous.

The atmosphere in there is nothing to get excited about - it's functional like a dentist's surgery, but that doesn't bother me as long as the treatment is spot on - which it was.

I was born with twisted feet which were fixed when I was a baby, however, I still get problems with them now and have to see a chiropodist every year or so. I always find it slightly strange having my feet examined as don't think they are my prettiest body area! But the therapist here was so friendly, calm and downright nice, that I relaxed too. She suggested some things to help in the long term and some homeopathic remedies that can be really effective (and cheap). I appreciated the fact she didn't try to sell me expensive products and instead suggested cost-effective alternatives. Would definitely recommend.
