The Health Club at One Aldwych

The Health Club at One Aldwych is a hotel spa and gym in the heart of Covent Garden.

With an extensive treatment list spanning breaks, relaxing packages and exclusive tailored beauty treatments, it is also one of a select number of outlets in the UK who work with the prestigious Spanish skincare specialist, Natura Bissé.

The spa has three beautiful treatment rooms designed by interiors specialist Mary Fox Linton. Each room has silk panelling, muted colours, soft music and restful mood lighting, all designed to help therapists deliver the ultimate relaxation experience. As well as a 745 square metre gym, The Health Club at One Aldwych also has an 18m chlorine-free swimming pool with underwater music and mood lighting for a true sensory treat.

We would like to inform guests that our Indigo restaurant will be undergoing some exciting changes this year. The restaurant will be closed from 26th January 2015 to allow for the remodeling of its kitchen, and is scheduled to re-open from 19th April. The makeover will bring the restaurant’s kitchen bang up to date with the latest in cooking technology and will go further to enhance the hotel’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. On reopening, guests will be welcomed back to the familiar Indigo surroundings with an enhanced, mouth-watering menu. During the short closure, it is very much “business as usual”. Axis will be open every day to serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Alternatively, hotel residents may opt to have meals from room service.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Citry Stress Buster package with the team here. I really liked the pool and spa facilities too, so would definitely go back if I ever wanted a treat. For a true facial experience you need to have a longer 60mi nute facial, but otherwise it was great.

The spa here is now one of my favourite in London. The therapist provided my partner with one of his best massages in long time - the only feedback he had was that a 90minute massage was jsut slightly too long.

The frotn of house staff were warm and friendly and provided us with everything we needed. In addtion the spa was very well kept with only a few other guests around which allowed for complete relaxation. The relaxation does however come at a price, but givne the lcoation its to be expected. I would say its worth it though.

Had an amazing stay; staff were so attentive but not intrusive with it. The hotel interior is sleek, clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. I had one of the best massages I have ever had (I have had many) and the therapist listened to what I wanted her to do - she was extremely knowledgable about what she was doing and I felt fabulous afterwards. We only had breakfast in the hotel which, was very good. The hotel is centrally located and a fabulous base for those who want to be near the shops, theatres and restaurants with the added buzz of the City of London!!

Probably, no definitely the best hotel experience we have had thus far, hands down! From the second we entered the doors to the moment we left, the service provided was incredible. I booked an overnight trip with spa treatments for my girlfriends birthday and upon arrival there was a card and cake with happy birthday written on the plate. The spa was awesome, the steam room, the gym and all other facilities were top notch. All the staff were ultra friendly and more than glad to help with even the smallest of queries. I honestly don't have a bad word to say about the place. I'll definitely be staying there again and I suggest you do too

Amazing experience. Loved every second. The staff made my boyfriend and I very welcome and even surprised him with some cake for his birthday, he really appreciated it and thank everyone for making his birthday a special one.

The room of the hotel was small but very nice. The environment is top class, all staff is highly educated and nice.
The only problem with the spa from my perspective is that there is only a sauna, a steam room, a gym and a large and nice pool (18 m) where you can swim. However I would have like to have more facilities as in other spas I have been. I just expected more from a 5 star hotel in central london. Overall it is a good place and we enjoyed

Place, package and frankly everything was superb. Location was awesome and only surprise was that on a Saturday morning it was quiet in the spa and even more relaxing!

A superb hotel and everything that I had hoped it would be when I booked. This was a one night break for two of us for relaxing and spending a couple of days in London. The hotel is perfectly managed - the experience and the staff were all first class. The spa was peaceful and the massage treatment was incredible. Can't say enough in praise and will return to the hotel in future.

We had a fantastic stay at One Aldwych, great service and hotel room, along with friendly staff and an amazing spa experience. Perfect location for going to the theatre and a bit of retail therapy!

The hotel was a very good experience - overall, I was pleased. A few things One Aldwych can do to make their service exceptional are the following:
a) provide toothpaste, toilet brush in the rooms.
b) the overnight light was so bright and I couldn't turn it off therefore didn't have a very good night.
c) the room was very hot and I don't think the air con was very strong
d) Jacuzzi would have been nice and more seating areas at the health club

Massage was so lovely! Really have to commend the woman who massaged me! Breakfast was also good - the fruit was lovely!

Would go again but not too soon :)

The pool sauna and steam room were great. The massage was fantastic, i have had many massages over the years but this was up there with the best. It felt very relaxing but also very skillful.
