Over priced for what it was...a nail painting session !!!. No manicure, just Shellac nails. They weren't even painted well and it cost £25 !!!!!

Bought this as a treat for my mum and I. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The facilities were great and the relaxation room was perfect for when I was waiting for my mom to finish her massage after mine!

My trip to the spa was for a present for a special birthday. Our greeting from the lovely gentleman in the spa was very friendly and professional. We were able to choose our lunch and a time we would like to take it. We were then given lovely fluffy towels and robe and went into the very clean changing rooms. The spa just make us feel very relaxed and the setting was quite intimate. The pool was lovely and warm. When we went for lunch we were taken to a private room and were made to feel very special. Nothing was too much trouble. I had a facial and all I can say is wow, my skin was left glowing. My friend had a massage as she wasn't feeling 100% and felt revitalized at the end. The customer service is just over and above expected, we were made to feel like we were the only clients there. My birthday present was just what I needed and couldn't have asked for more. Thank you everybody at the Derbyshire Hotel Spa, I cannot recommend you highly enough and cannot wait for my next visit.

The girl doing the massage was fine and quite apologetic for the noise. When I went in the room the bed was not ready and towels- quite rough and well used- were found. The'calming' music was playing very loudly but as the massage started it became apparent that this was to try to drown out the conversations going on in the next room. The girl doing the massage said it was a room where members of the spa went to eat and drink and socialise. It did totally detract from the ambiance expected when having a massage.
When complete the girl said she would wait outside whilst I dressed and as I went she told me to drink lots of water- usually a glass of water is brought and you are advised Come round slowly and when you are ready. The massage did not last 1 hour and I did seem to be rushed to leave.

I did not have any neck or shoulder massage and the whole experience lasted 20 minutes and not the 30 advertised. The massage itself was not firm enough for me but the pressure applied may be standard.

Wasn't quite sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Felt very relaxed although still feeling sore the day after. Not sure if that's good or bad...lol. Friendly staff.

Enjoyed the manicure however, not quite what I was expecting. Did feel a little exposed being out in the hall. But it was a good way of advertising the service offered.

Nice day, good time-out. Was a little busier than i expected so not always a deckchair available and meant was a bit noisy and the jacuzzi was sometimes full but it was still available for me to use when I needed it. Nice friendly staff.

The place was very nice and relaxed, the staff we're very pleasant. There was only 8 beds so they do need to address the bed problem, not sure where they would put them tho. Jacuzzi is very nice spent a hour in it. You can leave the premasis if you ask and there's a brewers fayre to eat at over the road cheap too!
Massage was lovely I had a full body massage and fell asleep 6/7 times lol
It wasn't to busy in the day until about 5pm when the members and the hotel residents come to use the facilites, overall it's a lovely place and would recommend it
