I went with a few friends for a girls day out. We had a great time. Massage was lovely and the Sunday lunch was fantastic.

The spa was heaving, few places to sit around the pool so decided to give it a miss.
Back massage was relaxing, paid extra to have eyebrows waxed, unfortunately now they are uneven and I'm glad I have a long fringe!

Nice break. Was a little surprised that you had to walk outside to get to the swimming pool and spa complex as this wasn't made clear on the website - it was only about 3 minutes but it was freezing February weather! And don't trust the signs for where to go for your treatment on the outside of the buildings or you'll get very confused very easily. The only thing that really let the experience down was the breakfast. It was incredibly slow. We waited at least 40minutes for a pot of tea and toast (despite constant reminders) and a little longer for our cooked breakfast which admittedly was freshly cooked but the restaurant wasn't busy. Lots of other guests had the same experience and there seemed to be a random order to who got their tea/coffee and breakfast and when. Cannot fault the staff though they were lovely and very apologetic.

Excellent relaxing day. Massage very good. We decided not to swim this time, just to chill and gossip! Lunch was wonderful.

The staff at the hotel, restaurant and spa were all excellent the food was outstanding, the room was a bit on the small side but it was a very nice old house which could explain it, the only down side is the spa facilities left a bit to be desired and could do with an updating and extending, the spa staff were friendly efficient and capable.

Had a very good weekend however plaster coming off walls in corridor and vent broken by pool area. Steam room wasn't very affective. I believe on a spa weekend your surroundings are very important.

Can't speak highly enough of the young masseuse who gave massage on Sunday morning.

Everything about the hotel was excellent, food especially. The only down side was the spa area. You need an area to relax in after your treatment that is both quiet and relaxing. The spa area was just like a small public swimming pool.

The hotel is dated and in need of a revamp. Most importantly it is not a spa, it is a hotel that happens to have a swimming pool and a low end beauticians attached.

The pool is small and only had 4 loungers which were accommodated all day by a group of girls drinking wine. The floor seems very lucky and slippers are not provided s bring flip flops. Showers were less than inviting, so we waited util we got home.

You get £8 towards food at the stables bar, the was very little for vegetarians. The food menu in general was limited and unappetizing.

the massage was really bad, in fact it just hurt. The rooms remind me of a cheap salon very untasteful, the walls are paper thin so you can here the other therapists talking in the next room as well as whatever music each room is playing, I could also here children running up and down outside too.

I wouldn't call Bannatynes a spa experience but at least it's better than here.

Had a great time with my friend. Only negative - Jacuzzi chemicals hurt both mine and my friends eyes so we could not use it.

The whole experience was enjoyable. Upon arrival, booking in was simple and the itinerary was explained clearly. Lunch was delicious - and fantastic value (huge portions).
The pool and jacuzzi were ideal, although my eyes were really stinging after the jacuzzi. There is also access to a gym, although I did not venture in! I would definitely recommend this venue. I had a massage treatment and it was amazing. I left the treatment room feeling very relaxed. I will book this venue again, very friendly and great value for money.

The house is very cozy and comfortable. Our room was very large with the biggest bed I've ever seen. Staff were friendly and helpful. The spa facilities seem small and average, but the hottub is the best I've ever sat in and we could relax in all the facilities very well. The food for dinner was at average portions, not too generous, but adequate and very tasty. There is a nice terrace to relax on and look at the weeping willows. People who are not interested in golf may find that there is little else to do, but for us, who just wanted to relax and do nothing, it was just perfect.

The staff were friendly and helpful. My facial was lovely and relaxing. It was nice to swim and use the Jacuzzi when the venue was not that busy. We had a nice meal using our £8 voucher.

My friends and I had a lovely morning swimming and using the facilities. After a tasty lunch using our £8 voucher I had a good back massage.
