This is not a spa. It is a gym, and an small gym at that.

There is a small fitness studio which holds 7 people for a class, a small gym with mainly cardio machines.

The 'spa' bit is not good...two small jacuzzies which fit 3 people in max. Two recliners crammed in down the side of the pool facing each other so you can relax with your Spa buddy. There's a small steam room and sauna and a decent sized pool for swimming, but not for relaxing.

To get a dressing gown and slippers and towel you have to pay an extra £2 per person, in the changing rooms there is only a combo shampoo, conditioner shower gel. No body lotion, no towels, nothing spa like at all.

This is not a spa it's a gym. If you want to go to a relaxing spa this should be bottom of your list. If you want to go to the gym, think about going here.

We arrive 5 min. late, hence our massage service were delayed by 30 min.
In that time we were offered tea - however no one explained much or offered to show us around.
Finally we were getting our massages, the Therapetist were amazing!
After that was done we were offered to be shown around, very quick tour.
Over all the facilities in the sauna and pool area are dated... but clean and well maintained.
It would be nice to give that area a bright color paint job then it would be a lot more open and inviting!
We did not use the Gym at all!
My friend and I enjoyed our visit and will go again!
For the price the value was ok......

My girl friend and I visited the health club and spa. Now I must admit we were 5 min. late for our 1pm appt. so we had to wait 30min before we were taken in by a therapist. The massage was great the thearpist was quite good. The staff was ok not very attentative but not rude either.
The overall facility is ok a bit dated in the pool area and I am not sure why in the pool area it is not decorated a bit brighter and lively. We did enjoy our visit and we will certainly go again.

I went with my 2 friends on my birthday! It was a last minute thing and they did really well to fit us all in on a Saturday. The place felt a little bit dated, a bit 90's but the staff was really nice, the massage was sooo good, she was really talented and did an amazing job.We had a great time and it overshadowed the perhaps less that modern decor.

A friend and I spent a very relaxing day at this spa. All the staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The facilities were good too and I spent most of my time switching between the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi! Both my treatments were lovely and each therapist was knowledgeable and did an excellent job. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I have just had the worst experience at Bannytyne Spa Millbank. The Reception staff had no idea and the therapist I had was beyond useless. I left there feeling completely stresses out and angry, wishing I hadn't bothered to make the journey. AVOID!!!!!!!

I only wish I had found your website before I booked the spa day at Millbank! I would never have gone! I will never recommend it to even my worst enemy! I booked by phone -2 4 1 offer -but receptionist didnt know anything about it & asked for a voucher.I had to ring twice for an email confirmation -which I didnt receive.I took my daughter for her 1st spa experience & was very disappointed.Firstly I was told that the cafe was open for lunch (on the phone) but when there, was told that no it wasnt open at weekends! We had to then leave the spa to find a pret a manger ,a good 1/4 mile from spa for lunch-not a good start.Staff were nice although a male cleaner nearly fell in the pool ogling over my daughter in her bikini! He must have swept water in the same place for at least 10mins!!The changing rooms were damp ,smelly & milldew in the showers. No relaxation room to read in private.Small area around the pool.Slippers which were NOT complimentary (£2.00 for them& dressing gown & greyish hand sized towel)...were lethal to wear near the pool as SO slippery, you need flip flops(if you dare to go!) No classes fitted in to the times of our treatments ,I was not told this by phone & could find no info on the website. When we went to find a locker ,there was an empty bottle of wine in one!....later whilst sitting in the reception area following our treatments the cleaner asked if it was ours!!!Reception staff & therapists were lovely & the massage I had was good.its a shame it was spoiled by the dated ,cramped ,poor facilities...you may be surprised to say -Mr Bannatyne I will not be back & would NOT recommend it!The new name for it should be MILLDEW not MILLBANK!

Very professionally run with good facilities and quite relaxed. Pool very good and gym OK, and good relaxation areas, with snacks and coffee/juice. Easy to book and staff very helpful.

We had a few hiccups with the booking process, and the reception desk was somewhat short staffed when we arrived, which meant we were left waiting for our tour and unable to get changed/into the pool etc) for a little longer than we would have liked.

Once we were 'in' the massages were brilliant, the pool and spa area weren't busy, and the yoga session was good, so a fantastic day of escapism all round.

very bad experience. went to the scheduled day that i confirmed with the main reservations office and when we got there from travelling far for this birthday spa gift,. we were hardly accommodated inside and waited 30 mins because receptionist asked us for A voucher.reservation office did not mention anything on what to bring on the day. we only had email confirmation on our mobile phone, which they asked us to forward to them,on which we had difficulty sending as their place has no network coverage. asked them if they can help us they said they cant. and if we insist on having the treatments we need to pay again which i found so annoyingly ridiculous. we had such difficulty. and when we eventually got in, the service was not at all good.
i will never recommend this place to anyone.

Venue was good but the treatment was appalling!
I think our treatments were the last of the day and the staff really weren't interested. The massage actually made me laugh more than anything. My skin felt like it was having a chinese burn and my neck was half heartedly pinched (the only way I can describe it I'm afraid) and the indian head massage consisted of my temples being pushed quite hard (which was very painful!) and my hair being tugged! It was the most confusing treatment ever! I would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

This was a wonderful day out for my sister's birthday. It was my first spa experience in England and we really had a lovely day. We were told to bring towels but didn't need them. The negative thing was needing to book so far in advance and only then being able to get 10 o'clock appointments. My therapist was good but I had to keep my trousers on which was odd-I'd have felt more relaxed in underwear under a towel. Also it would have been good to have the option to buy a snack/sandwich as only tea and coffee was available.

However it was great to be so empty-we practically had the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi to ourselves. The staff was friendly and not in your face. After our treatment we used the gym which was a good start to the rest of the day.

We were welcomed in reception and told to help ourselves to a nice range of teas and coffees as well as gven robes, towels and slippers. We were seen promptly for our treatments which were very nice and then had time to use the pool, sauna, spa pools and steam room. Spa pools were out of action for a bit and the steam room was a little musty smelling but the sauna was nice and we had a nice relaxing chat. It is a gym spa so it's not the height of luxury but it was clean and great value for money so would recommend for a treat on a budget.

I went here in March 2011. My brother had given me a pamper day for 2 for my 30th. This included 3 treatments per person as well as use of gym and classes.

Gym - small - lacking some equipment that I am able to use at a more basic budget gym that I am a member of.

Changing rooms - smelt of damp, no shampoo/conditioner available, in need of refurb.

Spinning class - worst spinning class I have ever been to - no structure, basically just going for full pelt for the whole class, no variation of what we were doing except sit down/stand up, no visualisation of what we were doing (e.g. hill climb etc). My friend has never done spin and I had to help her set up the bike, and there was no explanation to her as to what to expect (mind you not that it was needed - he could've said just go fast at the highest resistance you can manage for 45 minutes, job done).

Pool/jazuzzi etc - fine

Treatments - It seems that as soon as the therapists twig you are on a pamper day they don't bother as they know you're probably an out of towner and not likely to come back
- My friend only got 2 of the 3 treatments she should have had
- My therapist took me to my treatment room and then disappeared for 10 minutes
- My 30 min massage lasted 10 mins - was reasonable massage but not what I was supposed to get (my friend has the same experience next door for hers)
- We filled in forms about skin type etc but the therapists did not have these (as they didn't know who was who between me and my friend) and asked me if I had any allergies/skin conditions after she had slapped a load of product on my face.
- My facial only lasted 10 mins (again should've been 30 mins).
- My therapist sat at the stool at the head of the massage bed texting whilst she was waiting inbetween products during the facial (and whilst I had eye pads on). This made it hard to relax as she was holding the phone by my ear!!!
- Eyebrow shape - poor/average

All in all pretty disappointing, especially as we had treked into london for this 'pamper' day. I left feeling disappointed, and realising what value for money my regular 'budget' gym is!

I booked this as a birthday present to take my friend to, and it really was great. The booking was very efficient and helpful, although give yourself a good month in advance to get an appointment that you want.

The treatments were excellent and the spa facilities were fantastic although a little limited (we stayed out of the gym). The only negative would be that some of the facilities seemed a little dated as though they could do with a bit of money invested to make them more contempory

I had a great time at this venue. It was bought for me as a present for myself and my husband. The massage was lovely and relaxing and we had the use of all the other facilities for the day. Well worth a visit!

I had a lovely day and facilities we had were spot on. The changing rooms could do with a referb and possibly a larger waiting area or an area where guests can chill.
Apart from that we have a lovely time and would go back again.

This spa was very small and not well kept or clean making it difficult to relax for what was meant to be a spa day. When we first arrived, we waited 10 minutes to be shown around. When we were eventually called we were shown around by the cleaner because the receptionist had gone for a cigarette!!
The gym facilities were nice.
When we arrived for our therapies in the afternoon, we were told that they had only booked us in for one, instead of two, however they did acknowledge that it was there mistake and rebooked us for an hour later. The therapies themselves were not bad but I found it difficult to relax because of the previous hassle with rebooking them. The facilities around the pool are terrible. The space around the pool is tiny and there is nowhere to sit, relax and read, as we had hoped to do on our relaxation day.
Overall, I found this day disappointing and would not recommend it to anyone.

Although the lady on the phone wasn't really friendly at the time of the booking, the therapist was lovely and I'm very pleased with the massage I had; lovely ambience too.

After reading few articles about the benefits of Lava Shell Massage I decided to book myself for a 30 minutes slot.
When I called the centre to book I wasn't advised that in the 30 minutes massage is included filling in a form at the reception, paying upfront for the treatment and checking my blood pressure which left me with a maximum of 15 minutes of the full treatment.
I was under impression as I was the last appointment that the therapist was very keen to finish her shift that she even gave me 5 minutes to use any of the products in the treatment room and get dressed???!!!
Just to mention also that the receptionist didn't know how to work out the EPDQ so I had to use all may cash to pay for the treatment!!

It was ok. I had phoned earlier in the week to ask if the restaurant was open on the weekend and was told it was open and to find out it wasn't when I got there ...... It's a very small spa/gym and for half a day it would have been perfect. My therapist was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed the massage.
