My therapist was Charlotte, she was so lovely, professional and quick. She recommend the Lyon wax which is by far the best, she was very thorough in checking for allergies or any potential issues and above all she was very sweet and friendly and instantly puts you at ease.
I will definitely return as my experience was great both the girls in the spa were friendly, polite and helpful.

Charlotte was lovely and extremely professional and the hollywood waxing was perfect. Super relaxing setting too! Wish I'd know you could make use of all of the facilities though. Always next time!

Spa itself has a nice ambience with beautiful relaxing treatment rooms. The staff were polite and friendly as well as knowledge and skilled in the treatment. Would recommend.

I find spas very limited in general so I felt after a quick dip in the pool and our treatments it was a little boring. Can't complain about the treatments themselves!

I was confused by the original offer which I had understood to be 2 people for one, but found out when I tried to book the spa day and treatments that the offer of £39 was 2 short treatments for one person. I'd great difficulty getting through on the phone to book the date for the spa - again confusion whether this was to be booked through lastminute.com, wahanda or bannatyne spa itself. I forgot to print the voucher to bring with me, although had the evoucher number, all the emails about the voucher including spa date and treatments, but reception staff suggested only that I pay again on the day, then send the voucher by post (they wouldn't accept an emailed voucher that they could print), told me that the spa manager would ring me sometime in the following 48 hours and arrange refund. I found this inflexible and reception staff beyond assertive about this but to be too stringently firm. I wasn't impressed by the customer service approach. Also, the customer was expected to download, print and bring questionnaires about health etc, (at expense to the customer) and these questionnaires are normally provided by the spa. The pool was very small and narrow, there was no steam room and only one class on offer (I went on a Sunday, but surely there should have been more than one class on offer). I wouldn't use this spa again, nor could I recommend it. Also, I'd be reluctant to use lastminute.com offers again because of the confusion about so many matters. This was not the relaxing experience I was looking for. Very disappointing indeed.

Received a spa day voucher as a gift, did not intend to use pool, gym or pool but the information stated that you could just spend the day relaxing in there. Therefore, I intended to have the treatment, use jacuzzi and then just generally relax. The massage was very good, but this place was not a relaxing retreat for me. I ended up leaving not long after my treatment.
Greeted at a very average looking reception area which doubles up as the room where you are suppose to relax and have a drink. It is bright and very public (people coming and going). Once you are in the spa - you have to go upstairs then through metal turnstiles. You have to ask the receptionist to release the turnstile to let you back in so I did not want to keep going up there with my robe asking staff to let me back in. I did not have a drink until I was dressed and ready to leave! I think they should have offered a complimentary drink to people on the spa day, but they didn't.
To start the day member of staff briefly showed us around in an impersonal and treadlike manner.
It feels more like a tiny sports centre (not dimly lit and ambient as expected) with people rushing in and out along the corrider who are appear to be workers coming in to use the gym, pool and exercise classes. There is a spa room which consists of a pool, a jacuzzi and padded seating area. At first I was glad to enter this room but after sitting there a for a about five minutes I realised that the sound of the water is very loud and so did not want to stay in there too long as the noise started to get to me (I wanted to put earplugs in). So because the spa room was too noisy, there was actually no where to sit and relax, because outside of the spa room it was busy, not dimly lit and slightly chilly.
Changing room - busy and rushed feel (due to workers popping in to use facilities). Locker door - the corner knocked my browbone as the height of the door is such that when you reach down to the lock which is half way down, it is on level with your face so was constantly having to move my face out of way. When I was sat on bench in locker room a girl opened her door just above my head and it felt like it could have knocked me on the head if I turned round at that moment! At the corner of my eye it felt as if it was going to hit me in the face as she opened it.
Took me a long time to adjust shower temperature. The shower was very powerful so apart from the massage this was the only other relaxing thing.
This centre is fine for people popping in to use facilities but I do not feel it is should be advertised as a place suitable for spending the day relaxing in.

Booked in as a Group & lunch was included.....I say lunch; it was a platter of sandwiches (the type you pre-order from the supermarket) & of which we averaged 3 triangles each and a platter of cakes which we averaged 2 each (these were the size of a 10 p coin). Not the sort of lunch you would expect when you've paid £60 for lunch and a treatment.
You pay an extra £3 to use a robe (very tatty); towel (big enough to dry a child); & slippers (be careful when walking round the pool area as they become slippy).
Pool is a reasonable size for the city centre; sauna is ok as is the Spa Jacuzzi. Changing rooms mediocre and are communal. Treatments were the best part.
No relaxation rooms; so nowhere to chill out. To me this is an essential part of a Spa.
I found the experience very over-priced for what you receive and its quality. There is much better in Manchester.

Had a lovely day, facilities were gorgeous and the facial was beautiful and relaxing. My only downside was that I realised after my voucher said it included a take home product, which I did not receive. Otherwise the experience was spot on and I would go again!
