This review is for The Bannatyne Spa in Banbury, sorry I could not find it in the list so then, I choose this one to give my feedback. I went to the Spa in December, it had been recently opened, it is well located, has great facilities. I went with a my friend Pauline to celebrate her birthday, we had such a lovely time and fully enjoyed our experience there. We both highly recommend it. Geis.
It was good! Went with my friends and had a laugh. We had a massage and used the gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna and steam room. Bit pricey but still had a good time
It was great to be in the same room for treatments with my friend. Overall treatments were very good. Swimming pool nice - bit dirty in places. The staff in the reception were below average. Overall ok experience. Brindley Place great for eating out - so possibly would use the facilities again.
We had a terrible time at the Bannatyne Spa at Brindley place and were really disappointed. For starters, despite being quite obviously pregnant at no point did anybody warn me about the dangers of using certain facilities such as the sauna and jacuzzi. It’s a good job I was aware in advance or I could have done all sorts of damage. We also weren’t given our dressing gowns and slippers until about five minutes before we decided to leave and this was after asking on several occasions. Their excuse was that it was a Saturday so they were busy but it seemed pretty quiet to us. The pool area is nice enough and clean but there was hardly any seating so if you wanted to get out of the pool you had to stand around shivering (the room was really cold). There was also nowhere to hang towels and robes whilst in the pool so what little seating there was had been claimed by towels. The jaccuzi was shut down for some reason soon after we arrived so nobody in my group got to use it, but it was pretty tiny for a spa Jacuzzi. I didn’t see more than five people in it at a time and that looked like a squeeze. There is nowhere to just sit and relax and if you want to get a quick drink and rehydrate you are stuck with the vending machines. Whilst waiting for our treatments we were forced to wait in a cold grotty reception area that was more like in an office and they had the football on the tv playing quite loudly. We were sat shivering in our swimsuits and wet towels whilst a couple of men were yelling and swearing at the tv like in a pub! And despite there being plenty of staff around nobody told them to be a bit quieter. Our treatments were lovely but they started late and finished on time so they were shorter than expected. We did feel more relaxed at that point but did not want to ruin it by going back in so we left after only an hour and a half. It was a truly disappointing experience. There were also no signs on the walls and the treatment area is quite a trek from the pool and changing area so we had to carry around a little paper map with us. Just what you want on a pamper day at a spa!
My friends and myself had a lovely day at Bannatyne in Brindley Place, Birmingham. It was good value for money and we were happy with the facilities and treatment, just wish we had picked a longer treatment. There is no where to eat at the spa but with it being located in Bridley place there are plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area
