I really struggled to get through to the venue to make a booking and when I eventually did, after e-mails and calls, the venue informed me that they completely over booked this deal and as such they could not fulfill my voucher before the expiry date. I am very disappointed. Still waiting for a refund.

So-so just about sums it up. I don't think I'd go there again but for the price I paid it wasn't too bad.I wasn't overly impressed with the microdermabrasion but part of me feels that was more down to luck than judgement.

The salon itself is no-frills and doesn't look highly impression upon first visiting, almost to the extent that it looks a bit grubby. I went for a microdermabrasion treatment with a discounted voucher I had purchased. The treatment itself was good, the therapist was knowledgeable and able to answer any questions I had. My skin was left feeling extremely soft. I could however smell cigarette on the therapist's hands which was really off putting especially when she was applying the face mask directly with her fingers.

I would probably not visit again - I'd rather pay more for a better salon, however for the price I paid it was fine.

I had the body contour wrap and didn't really know what to expect. I was wrapped up like a mummy and left for 30mins. It wasn't a relaxing exerience but its not supposed to be. I think it would be a good if you were due to go to a party or something but as a one off i'm not sure how effective it was.

I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, but they decided to serve the walk-in customer before me which caused my appointment to start 10 minutes late. The therapist was very friendly and chatty, but her work was shoddy. It was the most painful Hollywood I have ever had. Yes, it is quite painful at times, but nothing like this. I'm not quite sure what she was doing wrong. It took her a good 20 minutes to complete the treatment which is also a first for me. I do like to try different places for my waxes but I can safely say that I will never go back here. To top it all off she dribbled the wax on my shin and thigh, not clearing it off properly, my trousers then clung to me as I walked out!

I have to say, I did have a good treatment, and the therapist is lovely, but unfortunately I feel that the ambience of the shop is poor. I can hear a lot of noise from the treatment room, and although I didn't pick a particularly relaxing treatment, I don't think I would have been too happy if I did.

Shame as I think the staff there are really nice, and the treatment was professional.

The therapist was very professional and took asks questions about your skin and did a patch test. Overall, the microdermabrasion only lasted about 15 minutes or less and a mask is placed on after. I did not see too much of a difference to my skin,

The first impressions weren't great, it is in a slightly odd side offshoot of a building, there is no loo in the main place so you have to go upstairs to go to the loo and the decor is all a bit dishelved. There wasnt any receptionist just one person running it on her own. However she was very good. Did the measurements, wrapped me in the clay soaked bandages. The bandages didn't look like they were clean though and I'd be surprised if they were sterilised between people. This was my first wrap and the process wasn't particularly pleasant or relaxing. Once wrapped, placed in a silver sweat suit I was transferred to another room, which was badly lit with a flip chart in and i was faced with a choice of lying on a completely flat bed with a spotlight in my face or perch on a stool. I perched and then was moved to another room when the therapist came back and realised that I was pretty uncomfortable. Then after 45 mins of waiting I was moved back to the original room. All that moved would have been funny if it weren't for having to move all my clothes etc with me each time.

The results were good I lost 14.5 inches overall across my body. My thighs were noticeably smaller. I wish they stay that way. The therapist was very nice and was efficient.

Although it can be hard to get an appointment the staff are so warm, welcoming and friendly.
I had the Universal Contour wrap and was looked after very well although I didn't lose many inches just 6.2 overall including the half ones here and there, I felt confident the staff knew what they were doing and was very comfortable.

I nice venue , a refreshing change from a chain.

Quite mixed feelings to be honest. Had arrived 15 minute before my appointment time to find that there was no one there and as such it wasn't open, there was another client who had been waiting for 30 mins prior to me arriving. By the time someone arrived over an hour had passed (along with another client) and it turned out that no appointments had been booked in for that day. The staff were very apologetic and re-booked me for the following day as well as booking me in a for a free eyebrow and eyelash tint that day.

The facial itself lasted only 40/45 mins (rather than the hour specified) but did leave me my skin looking fantastic however I felt as if the therapist was rushing and spent more time talking to the student observing the treatment rather than to me. Also I feel that the treatment would have been better if there had been a hand massage or something similar whilst the face mask was on. Also there was no music being played in the room itself so you could hear everything that was being discussed outside of the room so it wasn't overly relaxing

Overall I wouldn't have been thrilled if the full price had been paid for the facial but definitely can't fault the end result!

I bought a KGB Voucher for this place and I decided to have a hollywood wax. 20 mins of mild pain (but then i am a woos) and it was all over. very professional job and i booked in for the following week for a Microdermabrasion and i can honestly say my face has never felt so soft and fresh. Very impressed and will be back again in 2011. Stacy

A great location, but that's where the good things ended! On the day I went I was the only person in the salon (not necessarily a bad thing). The therapist wrapped me in the 'bandages' which looked like they'd been used about 1000 times before (and that the last time they were washed had been quite a while ago) and then she disappeared half way through and reappeared just in time to remove the wrappings later. The room was cold and could have done with a bit of a clean, as could the rest of the salon, but the decor was nice enough - definitely not plush like most places nowadays, but it had character - and the therapist was sweet and sounded knowledgeable, if a little disinterested! Wouldn't hurry back.

The entrance is subtle. After buzzing through the door, it was difficult to find the salon. I walked all the way to the top, before turning round and found it on the lower floor. The atmosphere was a little lacking- there was no-one there.
A therapist measured me (loosely and a little casually) and wrapped me and left me to it in the treatment room. Later, another therapist came back to unwrap me, and re-measured me (tightly but more thoroughly). Her method was very different to that of the first therapist, so the measurement in inches that they said I had lost I did not think was truly reflective, which was disappointing. My clothes did not feel any different, as I have heard other people mention after having this treatment.
If you had this treatment, you should ensure you have the same person doing the measurements before and after, to give you confidence that it is accurate.

The facial was fantastic and my skin was glowing after. The technician knew what she was doing and really cared for my skin. It was calming and cleansing and all of my friends said that my skin had never looked better. I would highly recommend this service and the spa.

I went here, having bought a KGB voucher. The ambiance was very strange - it is in a dingy building in a basement, and they were playing rap music.
I had phoned in advance saying I wanted hot wax, and I then had to wait for 15 minutes whilst they got the wax ready, as noone had passed the message on. I have been waxing for years (and in many different salons), and never has it been so painful. I felt like I was being butchered throughout - the wax removed far too slowly.
Furthermore, when the therapist she said that she had 'finished', she definitely had not. I didn't argue with her, as I couldn't withstand the pain for her to finish the job properly, and I just wanted to get the hell out of there.
The wax was also far too hot, burning me at some points.
The towels that I was given were dirty, clearly having been used by a previous customer.

Excellent experience. Ambience is fabulous and staff are very friendly. I enjoyed my treatment and will certainly go back and spread a word of mouth for Superficial treatments and offers. I felt completely relaxed after my treatment, with a smooth and beautiful skin.

I went on a girlie pampering with my mum for massage, facial and a quick manicure. The staff were friendly, and warm hospitality provided. Being my first proper massage at a spa, it has definitely made me want to go back for more! It was absolutely good value for money.

If like me you are used to going to actual Spas to have your treatment going to a hair salon in the basement of an old building will be a shock to the system, no relaxing vibe. I thought about leaving a couple of times.

The salon was dark, with very dark walls and decor which i think were black and very low lighting and the room where i had treatment was the same but small and windowless, it was a hot day i needed to cool down, also it was not particularly relaxing, I could not see much either.

The therapist applied the clay wraps well and basically did a great job, also giving post treatment information etc. I

Overall the wrap was ok, but the location did not suit me , i was just glad i had not paid full price for the treatment in this salon venue.

I had a Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion Facial at Superficial and it was a very nice experience. I haven't had a microdermabrasion facial before, so it was a new experience, but I found the results very good and it left my skin feeling very soft.

This was the worst 'beauty' treatment I have ever experienced and would not recommend this venue for microdermabrasion. If you do plan on going here I would suggest a pre-visit and also read more reviews.
