After reading an the reviews and researching for 2 days, it seemed like the strip was the best place to get waxed especially a Brazilian. The hot wax used on my underarms and for my brazilian was perfect as it was as painless as possible. However despite the great ambience of the place and watching tv whilst the treatment is happening, I was disappointed with the results. As 2 days later, I saw the hair on my underarms and legs come back again and after 4 days, my bikini line was becoming hairy again! It is definately not worth the very expensive price if it can't even remove hair that will last a week!

I rarely write reviews, but I was recommended to visit Strip from a friend who is a regular after expressing my frustration about not having found a good hollywood waxing place. I must say my experience at Strip was amazing, I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as I walked in the door (and not in a pushy kind of way) my therapist was lovely and ran through the treatment with me and explained about the wax she was going to use. The wax itself was great, and loved that I could watch tv while having it!! The result was amazing and it was a really thorough pre holiday wax. I Really enjoyed my experience at Strip.

Well-located in the West End near Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus tube stations, and easy to find as the turquoise building stood out from its neighbours. The receptionist was friendly, even when declining to purchase the products that the therapist had pushed onto me (literally, when she left the treatment room for me to change after the wax, she said "I'll leave your products on the counter for you", even though I hadn't asked nor expressed interest in anything she'd recommended. It reminded me of when Phones4U tried to trick me into getting phone insurance.) No one was particularly chatty and other customers were constantly distracting the receptionist when she were serving me, which was a little annoying as I had to wait unnecessarily. As for information provided, I had to ask quite a few questions, though I was informed that they were opening a place in the big Topshop without having to ask, though it wasn't mentioned when this would be, nor was I given any post-wax care tips. I arrived early, so I was seen to on time and offered a glass of water, however there was no indication whether I should change before receiving my water, so my therapist seemed a little curt when she returned with the water and I'd been waiting for it to avoid being walked in on, even when I apologised and explained my confusion! I was in the chocolate room which, and I assume the photos on Wahanda are of a different branch, was very small and not so tastefully decorated. It was sort of cute, with a brown towel under paper on the bed, walls and gold-framed photos with the exact same picture of an unwrapped block of chocolate with gold foil, but it wasn't what I was expecting from a place which charges £52 for a wax and has such a nice website, and it didn't look like much thought had been put into its design. I much prefered the decor of Ministry of Waxing's Mayfair branch which, although was not how I'd decorate my house at all, looked actually classier and like they'd put some effort into its conception. And I thought that salon smelled nicer, as did its wax! The wax here was very good, chocolate-hazelnut Lycon, goes on thickly and dries to resemble a shiny flexible plastic! It was very similar to the chocolate wax in MoW in consistency, though I think the therapist in MoW was possibly more skilled as it didn't hurt there whereas in Strip I felt it noticeably more. Regardless, it was still much less uncomfortable than cheap places that use regular strip wax, and here, as in MoW, they don't double dip. They provided a big pack of baby wipes and a bottle of alcohol hand gel to sanitise, and prepped the area to be waxed with oil instead of powder. Chocolate wax was just automatically used, maybe because I hadn't checked any of the boxes on their health screening form, however there was lavender wax in the room for sensitive skin. The chocolate wax literally looked like roughly broken thick chunks of chocolate sinking in a pool of melted chocolate. The TV was the second best thing about this place after the Lycon, as it was wonderfully distracting, despite the movie being Step Up 2 (more painful than a Brazilian wax). The therapist asked about four times whether the wax was ok and I was comfortable, which I found a bit unnecessary, not just because she was competent enough to keep the wax from overheating, but after the first two times, you'd get the general idea to speak up if the wax was burning you, right? She happily tweezed out strays which didn't hurt after the skin had been relaxed by the hot wax, and overall did a very thorough job, the best I've had, and in just 20 minutes. The weird thing is, there was nowhere to leave my stuff, except for on an armchair in the corner. Why was there a chair in there? For spectators? I used a Wahanda gift voucher to pay, which they accepted with no issues, and paid the difference by card. The underwear in the shop is nice, with affordable brands such as Elle Macpherson included, as well as a sales section and a curtain to dress behind, but the range of sizes and types isn't that good, the shop being very small, so I would recommend going to the John Lewis/Selfridges lingerie sections or Coco de Mer on Monmouth St instead if you're really looking for nice lingerie. As for me, if I'm going to spend that kind of money on a wax again, I'd choose to go to Ministry of Waxing instead for the better ambiance and treatment. (It's less pretentious and more quirky than Strip, I find!)

Wow. Strip has made waxing a how new experience for me. I enjoyed the themed rooms and personally experienced the chocolate room (but due to my sensitive skin I had the lavender wax). Charlie's Angels being on the TV was a nice distraction and the waxing was virtually painless and over in no time. I was so impressed with the service that I booked up a course of 6 waxes straight away.

Strip came highly recommended and I certainly wasn't disappointed. With a lovely boutique feel and spotless facilities ny trust was instantly earnt, especially as I was greet by name by all the staff. Friendly and professional service with fantastic results. For anyone who hasn't experienced a Lycon wax you HAVE to try it - it's far less painful and the finish is much smoother! A fabulous touch was that they showed Sex and the City whilst I was having my treatment.

The only slight downfall is the price. I could go for waxes (much) cheaper elsewhere, so it is weighing up the fabulous venue/facilities/staff vs cost.

I visited Strip for a wax and it really was a fabulous experience. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. My therapist was lovely - really friendly and smiley and professional and made me feel at ease. The treatment room was spotlessly clean and smelled divine - I was in the chocolate room. The treatment itself was excellent and pain-free. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it as it takes the pain and fear out of the whole waxing experience!

My overall experience was pleasant, calm & straight forward. I was in the chocolate room. After the waxing treatment I had an indian head massage which left me in total peace. (FYI:they do use oil when doing massage, but lucky i went to get my hair washed straight after!) Nice location with rooms to choose from. recommended! x

The place is very odd - feels a bit like sitting in a Soho shop window surrounded by lingerie whilst you wait for your therapist. Mine was running 10 mins late and there was no apology for this, which was annoying. I was looking forward to choosing what flavour wax I wanted, so was disappointed to be led to the 'berry room' and told I was having the berry wax, without any choice. The room seemed clean but I was horrified to find someone else's pubic hair stuck to my foot halfway through the treatment. There was a movie on in the background which I found odd and was not given the option of turning it off. This wax is not for the faint hearted! It was very thorough, but painful at times and the therapist was very heavy handed. I regularly have hot wax but hadn't experienced discomfort like I did this time. The head massage was a complete waste of time and money, and I did not appreciate the hard sales push of after care products at the end of the treatment, the therapist was very pushy, verging on aggressive, to try and get me to buy products. A good wax, but disappointing overall experience.

The waxing was great, as it always was, but I wasn't as impressed with the head massage especially as my therapist left the TV on (car chase sound effects and all) in the background! However, seeing as I was using this voucher as a cheap way to get a wax it didn't bother me too much.

These are certainly the most opulent surroundings in which I have ever had my bikini waxed! There are a selection of rooms including a 'berry' room and a 'chocolate' room, in which the corresponding wax fragrances are used, and these do smell absolutely divine! The actual treatment was quick and efficient, and my therapist made a really big deal of stressing how the salon do not 'double dip' their spatulas, which you would think was their USP from the amount of raving she did about it! I watched Madonna in concert on tv whilst having my treatment, which was certainly above what I am used to! The only negative on the experience really was that I felt I was really getting the 'hard sell' from my therapist throughout my treatment, first by trying to instill into me all the ways in which Strip is far superior to other salons (not least because they don't double dip!), and then by explaining in great deal the savings available from purchasing a course of 6 treatments in advance. This all made it quite difficult for me to relax! Then came the sell on the after wax products ...! All in all the wax was efficient and she got all the hair, and for £25 it was undeniably good value. However, going forward I would prefer to go to my regular therapist who is friendly and has a conversation with me instead of using the time I am captive to sell me whatever she can, and pay £45 per treatment. I came away with a bottle of after wax oil and a tube of 'no scream cream' which between them set me back around £35, so I saved nothing on the deal really! I may be tempted to return one day to sample the delights of the 'chocolate room', however on balance I think i'll keep going to my regular therapist, who I like very much even if she doesn't have tv in her treatment room!

Great sense of humour! You can always ask your regular therapist to put a telly in her salon...

Waxing is never going to be fun exactly but at least at Strip they take your mind off the pain. Yes, even with Lycon wax it still hurts, just not as much. The decor's cool, the wax smells nice, the friendly therapists are quick and proficient and you can even watch a DVD whilst the deed is being done. I'll definitely be going back.

It was my first wax experience and the therapist was very professional and really put me at ease. I can thoroughly recommend them. The venue is easy to reach, clean and very nice ambience. It was value for money due to the Wahanda voucher. Unfortunately, they are too expensive for me without one of those vouchers.

Strip Soho provide a very luxurious service, which was definetly my most pain free hollywood wax to date. The staff were really friendly and helpful and didn't try to push me into buying anything else, which I thought they might considering I was getting a bargain wax with my Wahanda voucher!

My only very minor complaint would be that you have to pay for ingrown hair removal in your waxed area as a seperate treatment, and I had had this included in the part of the waxing service at other salons.

In general though this is clearly a cut above most waxing places, and worth spending a few more pounds on.

I came into Strip Soho not really knowing what to expect. The reception area was really nice, and for a second I wondered if the place was too trendy for me. :) The therapist was really friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. We were in the chocolate room, which was wallpapered with giant chocolate bars. There was a TV on the wall playing a movie, and the wax looked like melted chocolate! I got a Hollywood, and since I haven't gotten one for a few months, I was really afraid that it'll hurt a lot. But it didn't! The therapist told me that they put oil under the wax, so that it'll only still to the hair and not the skin. In my 7 years or so of getting waxed, that was the most painless and comfortable waxing experience that I can remember. I got an Indian Head Massage too, and it was a really nice way to end the session.

As far as Brazilian waxing goes, Strip was a great experience. The room I was in smelt divine and was beautifully decorated, the staff were ready when I arrived and my therapist did a really good and almost painless job. They are definitely on the pricey side for waxing, but they are specialists and everything from the wax to the venue were top quality. I would reccomend it.

I wish I had been told about strip before now, this was the least painful waxing experience I have ever had and I will certainly be a regular at the Soho branch. The place itself is decorated beautifully and the staff are great. The full prices are a litle more than I have paid in the past but honestly it is money well spent!

This is without a doubt the best waxing salon in London if not the entire world! The whole salon is beautiful and the estheticians are amazingly friendly and personable. Even though it is a dreaded wax, Srip makes it feel like a luxury. I will absolutely be coming back time and time again and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of pampering!

I visited Strip for a Hollywood wax and head massage. The staff are wonderful and friendly. I'm always a bit nervous getting waxing done but they make you feel relaxed and comfortable.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and the ambience is very peaceful. It was great value for money and I recommend Strip to everyone. The treatment was painless and fast and the massage at the end was quite enjoyable.
