The view was amazing. This was also during breakfast and dinner. The set menu changed daily. The lounge area was very comfortable with good mood lighting and well decorated.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.

I went for the October deal of an ESPA facial and eye treatment for £49, usually £74. My therapist was lovely, she was obviously extremely knowledgeable about the products and skin analysis, and took the time to explain the process of the facial to me and why she chose the products she did for my skin type. She was polite and very professional. She looked at my skin through a uv light to see where I was dry or oily, and chose the type of facial accordingly. The products worked perfectly on my skin and I noticed that my pores had definitely become less visible afterwards, which was one of my main reasons for having the facial - so I was pleased with that. The fault with this facial lay with the 'touch' and pressure elements. This is so important and unfortunately, this therapist has obviously not been shown correctly how to do it; which is of no fault of her own, as it's advisable that the manager does quality control and train staff on correct pressure techniques. Firstly, when she cleansed the eye area, she pressed down too hard on my eyelids, so my eyeballs felt crushed and this put me in a semi-anxious state throughout the duration of the facial. The eye area is so delicate and just needs feather-light pressure. Then, for the rest of the facial, the massage pressure over the face and décolletage was too light and lacklustre, she did all the right movements but there was no real connection. A great massage is crucial to a facial and is what makes it so effective and enjoyable. She found the acupuncture points but seemed to skim over them in a robotic manner as if she was just going through the motions. When I asked her to increase the pressure as she massaged my neck and shoulders she listened and did so, yet unfortunately she did not have the qualities of a top masseuse and this is what you should receive if you are paying luxury prices. For example, when the fingers come to the temples it's nice to stay there for a couple of moments applying gentle pressure before you slowly draw the fingers away. Other than that, as mentioned, the products worked their magic and the whole process would have been extremely relaxing if I hadn't been worrying the whole time that there had been some slight damage done to my eyes! Even for the offer price of £49, I think it was too much money to pay for a so-so facial, and I would have been upset if I'd have to pay full price. My therapist was intelligent and gracious yet needs to be properly trained on touch. I had wanted this to be my local spa of choice, and it needs a little more work if I'm to return.

Lovely stay. Views. Facilities. Food really good. Nice rooms. Masseuse lady was fantastic. Had to change room as party next door but was done with only a minor quibble. Male staff member in restaurant was having a go at another member of staff in loud whisper and came across as moody but may have just been his way. Some of reception and spa staff could have been warmer but were very efficient. Overall was good value for money and in an excellent location too. Would recommend.

After reading mixed reviews, I took a gamble and I booked a one night spa break as a birthday present for my partner. Upon arrival we were met by very friendly staff who extended us a very warm welcome. After check in, we went to our room which we couldn't have been happier with. As part of the package, we had paid for and expected a basic room, however we were delighted to find a beautiful and spacious room with a balcony overlooking the stunning st.ives beach. It was clean and well presented, and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. As part of the package, breakfast and dinner were included, and both were absolutely lovely. The restaurant overlooks the beach with some lovely views and we had no problems getting a window seat.
Our package included a 55 minute spa treatment each, and we both chose the aromatherapy full body massage. We were both very pleased with the high standard of the treatments, and again noted the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Overall, we had a brilliant experience and would definitely consider visiting again.

Newly refurbished and very lovely , staff were helpful and lunch was fantastic . I had a facial and my boyfriend had a massage , my facial was nice but felt a little rushed & a bit contrived .A few niggles, as the swimming pool is for the whole of the hotel there was in influx of familys with childeren that were playing and splashing in the pool, whilst we understand kids play and they were lovely kids but if you have paid for a relaxing spa day childeren arent really wat you want but all in all it was a great day and i will say again the lunch was fantastic !!!
