Facilities a little dated but that's the only thing we could complain about! thought it was a great deal and there was lunch included! Which was lovely! Thanks again to the staff at the hotel.

The spa treatments were good and we had no complaints about them or the staff in anyway. The hotel is in a major need of a refurb and smells due to the old carpets. It felt like going in to an old folks home the smell. Hotel owner should invest some of their profits into doing the place/rooms up. All staff were very pleasant and no complaints there. As for Wahanda/last minute.... Taking bookings when hotel already fully booked on more than one occasion, not good!

I was there with my daughter for her 18th birthday and both of us enjoyed our stay, the only complaint I would say is that the set menu was difficult for me as I am wheat free so many of the courses I was unable to have, even the light lunch menu it was more or less with bread apart from a portion of chips which the chef had to do especially for me as they would normally have flour on them !!! all in all the staff were superb.

This offer was not great value. Upon arriving at the hotel, out room was not ready, this despite conversations with someone regarding the unavailability of the spa, which we had specifically booked, but not to worry, someone called us to sort that out and managed to book us in over the course of 2 days. The conversation centred around arriving a little earlier on the Thursday to check in a little earlier and enjoy our first spa treatment. So listen, the spa is "good". It's very small, and the girls are knowledgable and very friendly. Good conversation and made me feel at ease. I enjoyed the treatments, but I didn't feelni was in a Spa as such. As far as the building goes, the decor and quality of the area is fantastic. This is a very old building, and the 2 or 3 spa rooms are the best part of the whole building.

Let's get on to the hotel stay. Never in my life have I been so disappointed in what I've been sold. Yes, this is an old building, but I would expect the internal design of the building to reflect the fact that this is a SPA.... It has the feel of a very old house about it, with more bars closed than open, and a very dirty appearance. Dark browns, old carpets and ancient wallpaper and curtains. If this place was operating as a homage to days gone by, then sell it that way... Market it properly. Don't market it as a Spa hotel. I don't feel comfortable at all in this environment, and neither did my wife.

I am also sad to report that , again despite having a conversation with a staff member before we arrived and informing said staff member that my wife and I were just married and looking forward to this break, we were booked for a TWIN ROOM!!!!! After a nervous few moments from the girl at reception, we were given a Double room. Great, but didn't it stink??? As soon as we opened the door, the stale aroma hit us in the face. Even worse when we opened the bathroom door. You would have thought they had cooked the breakfasts in that very room. It stank.... And the reason??? The vent from the kitchen only runs up the wall directly outside the window. Thanks for the warning, but also, no attempt within the room to neutralise the odour. No plug ins, air fresheners or any other device to help with this. Not to worry, only 2 nights to endure. And it was a deal, right???

No, it wasn't. Not really, when you consider that the cost of a double room per night is advertised at £125 per night, and that each of the spa treatments we were offered, when you divide the price of the full treatment by the offer treatment time, works out to be exactly the same as you'd expect to pay at full price. No deal!!!

Next time, I'm booking a travelodge, you know what you're getting, it's clean, and you get what you pay for. We'll have our spa treatments in a Bannatynes or somewhere of that ilk. We'll save money and still have a good time. I must admit, £370, not including the bill we had to pay on the way out the door was really rotten value for this trip. We have a highly established spa on our doorstep at home which would have cost us £50 less, including a 2 night stay which would have been a much better option in hindsight. Never again.

Final nail in the coffin, upon check out (and this might tell you all you need to know). Upon settling our relatively small bill, of the 2 people at reception, not a single one asked the fairly simple and standard question that you'd expect upon check out at every hotel.... "Did you enjoy your stay?" - They obviously knew what the answer would be.

Well done Wahanda, you took our cash in advance. Crerar, you can guess who we are and I really hope you get in touch to put things right.

The staff were lovely as was the food but I felt the rooms let the hotel down, in need of an upgrade especially the bathrooms! Could not fault the spa facilities or the pool!

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Crear Scotlands Hotel in Pitlochry. It was very drab and dated in the hotel and the rooms were well below standard given we paid £220 for the one night. We could have stayed in a five star hotel in edinburgh for £120 for the night with breakfast (all be it not with the 30 minute spa treatment included) and we would have been much happier.

The Hotel had a Madonna tribute act on in the Restaurant which was setting up as we were eating dinner. We left promptly as we the speakers had been set up 2m from our table. The act went on from 9:30 till well after midnight and it turned out our room was directly above the restaurant. It kept us awake the whole time and the Bed & Pillows were so uncomfortable that we left completely knackered and drove home to Edinburgh at 1:30 am. We left a completed 'comment card' with all our contact details filled in, to which we have received to phone call or contact of any form.

We will be contacting either last minute or the hotel to arrange some form of compensation as we feel completely let down and very disappointed in the standard which was considerably below that which was advertised on the ad.

This is a good hotel in need of upgrading. Bedroom & public areas all clean, tidy & comfortable, but if you look closely, the windows are rotting, paint peeling, etc. lovely staff.
We had a D,B&B deal with spa treatments. Food was good, but small portions..
Spa is very small. Small treatment rooms in need of upgrade, no relaxation lounge, small very outdated gym, small pool & jacuzzi. Nice changing rooms & showers.
Treatments received were very good using Elemis products.
Hotel also very quiet at night, so I would say this place is for the over 30's. Loved Pitlochry, would probably go back to this hotel, depending on what offers are available.
Hope the management address the areas in need of upgrade, as it does let the place down.

The 'dip and dine' offer was a very good price at £16.95 per person. We planned to stay at the hotel and use the facilities all day. However the facilities were very limited and there were no sunloungers to relax by the pool. The pool was nice but quite small. It became clear that this was just a small hotel pool with a few steams rooms rather than a spa. The lunch though was fantastic. It was very quiet in the hotel which helped us to relax during our visit.

I would visit again if more effort was put into creating an actual 'spa' experience, rather than just simply the use of a hotel pool.

We arrived 5 minutes before the treatment, and sat and waited for at least 10 minutes. We were asked to sign and write our address on the forms. The therapist was rushing about, and wasn't in uniform or ready for us. When she came back 10 mins later she said we hadn't filled the forms out properly. So we ticked the rest of the boxes, which took about 30 seconds. When she took my mum for her treatment, it was 15 minutes into the time we had been allocated. My mum asked if she would get that time added back on, as the treatment was for 30 minutes. The therapist said we had taken too long to fill out the forms and wasn't going to give us the whole half hour! We were there in plenty of time to fill out the forms before our allocated time begun.Neither my mum or I had a full half hour treatment and as nice as it was, we both felt it was rushed and the therapist wasn't very friendly.
I wouldn't recommend this spa. The products felt nice and it was relaxing once we lay down. However , we both felt cheated and it wasn't our fault that she wasn't ready for us when we arrived, and the whole experience wasn't very welcoming at all.
The hotel was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The rest of the staff were very friendly, its a shame the spa part of it was so disappointing.

Had a great weekend there, the staff was very helpful and attentive. Spacious, clean, warm and high standard bedroom. Very relaxing with the pool and the jacuzzi overlooking the surrounding hills. Good dinner and large breakfast with a lot of choice. Good value.

Our visit to Sonas Spa Hotel in Pitlochry was perfect.
The Hotel was spotless and the staff very friendly and accommodating, There are several lounges throughout the hotel with comfortable sofas and chairs and nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they make you feel wanted.
The room was clean and comfortable with free tea, coffee and shortbread to die for. There was a good menu of fine foods to choose from and the dining room is spacious and comfortable. The food served was piping hot and the breakfast had a vast selection (compliments to the chef). I got a facial in the spa and the therapist was very professional. She made me feel at ease and delivered an excellent service ( I bought beauty products at highly discounted prices)
I would definitely go back and if you go, don't forget to tip the lovely staff.

I recently came to stay as a surprise for my mum's birthday and we had a fantastic time!!

The hotel it's self for lovely and rustic. The facilities and spa were top notch. We had a bit of a mix up with the treatments that we had booked but the receptionist and therapist sorted this straight away and were fantastic.

The staff are just so happy to help and always very polite!

Definately be back.

Could not fault the spa facilities at all at this place, however, the cleaning staff did come through the spa area, not the treatment rooms, making alot of noise and disturbing the calm. The therapist was brilliant, she did go to the cleaning staff and tell them to stop coming through the spa area. The treatments were brilliant, very relaxing and the therapist knew all about the products she was using. The only negative I would say would be the polish used in the manicure, the therapist herself said it wasn't very good and she was right the polish was chipped within the night and I had only had it done about 5 in the evening. Overall this spa was well equipped and the therapist was friendly and clearly knew her stuff would happily return.

The hotel sits just off the high street, and all the amenities are within walking distance.
We arrived and parked in the spacious hotel car park an hour early, but our room was ready and within minutes we were booked in. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and smartly dressed.

Our room was immaculate and very well presented with a lovely Scottish theme.
We used the spa facilities late afternoon, being regular gym users we did find the gym poor and unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of order, which was disappointing. However, the sauna, steam room and pool were spotless and very inviting.

The dining room was very spacious and the Scottish theme continued, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The evening set menu had a good and varied selection and for a small supplement you could choose from the a la carte menu. The food was very well presented and delicious. The following morning, breakfast consisted of a large selection of serials, fruit juice, fresh fruit, yoghurts as well as tea/coffee toast with a selection of cooked breakfast’s to choose from.

My husband used the spa facilities while I was being pampered. My therapist was very enthusiastic, well organised and the treatment room had a lovely ambiance with relaxing music. Starting with a back massage and followed by a facial, the Elemis product’s smelt wonderful. Both my treatments were excellent and I felt totally relaxed.
The whole experience was great and we would definitely use this hotel and spa again.
