As a mystery shopper I'd heard several mixed reviews about this salon so was interested in visiting and so I did last year. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the sophisticated and high end image and brand of franchises that it belongs to.

Branch very quiet with no atmosphere surrounded by unfriendly and almost arrogant random staff. Very odd set up on reception with a scruffy insincere couple (seemingly in charge?) sat around drinking coffee.

Cut and blow was average and the customer service was almost non existent. Having already been to a Saks salon in Cheadle. This Trafford Salon is a poor standard.

I went into this salon expecting first class treatment, the minute i arrived a man sat at the reception desk was speaking very rudely to an employee, i later found this was the owner, he soon changed his tune when i arrived, i was then taken to a waiting area where a nice young lady gave me a coffee, i was then brought back into the hair salon and offered a seat. I then met my stylist, her name was michaela, she seemed like a friendly girl, however as she was washing my hair the smell from her was overwhelming, even worse when she was blowdrying my hair, as a hairstylist in an upmarket hair salon i was disgusted at her personal hygiene and left the salon wanting to go home and wash my hair again and shower myself despite having showered before i left for the salon, i would advise you to never go here as the customer service is awful and the staff are rude, a male hairdresser who was walking through the hallway barged past me and didn't even apologize i learnt that his name was paul from all the loud conversation some of the hairdressers would have with from what i can gather assistants or apprentice's, disgusting place, never going there again!!

Really professional and friendly staff. Fantastic service offered and I was really happy with my hair cut and colour. I'm just waiting for them to put another offer on! My friends commented how great my hair looked!

Very friendly staff - made me feel at ease as first time been to this salon. Had colour consultation first and cut consultation was after had colour done. This didn't really matter to me as knew what i wanted but would have been better to have had this done along with colour. Only problem i had was getting out of the car park as the code wouldn't work and got wet (ruining my new hair do) whilst trying to get out.

Would go back as convenient opening hours for me as work at weekends most of the time.

The experience was very good, staff chatty and attentive. The hair colour was good as was the cut and finish. Hospitaility was also very good. The surroundings were good but a little difficult to find.
The only negative was they asked for an extra £10 on top of the voucher price so I did not leave an additional tip which I would have if this had not been added.
Overall would recommend the experience as was good value

Turned up 10 minutes early. Somebody came and asked me if I was aware I was early. Appointment started 30 minutes late. Was supposed to be colour, head massage (worth £28) and cut and blow dry. When I made the appointment I requested somebody that had experience of curly hair. No head massage, although by the time I realised it wasn't going to happen, I'd already had the colour rinsed off and water run over my face and into my clothing with a face cloth sized piece of material provided for me to wipe off only after I requested it. You're washing out colour, are you not concerned that, aside from being in my EYES, it could stain my clothes?
After a very bad start (the magazines they brought me whilst my color developed were GQ and some women's magazine I imagine I wouldn't be really interested in as I cannot even remember what it was. I ended up reading the GQ. They have a stack of current magazines in the waiting area so I have no idea what that was about.) I was really nervous about the girl cutting my hair. She was young (not necessarily bad) but had no idea when I explained how my regular hairdresser cut my hair. Nice enough as a person but in the end it took about 3 minutes to clip some ends (my choice, after the colour disaster I wasn't keen on scissors). I explained how I normally had it styled but the girl seemed to have no idea. Twisted a few chunks, blasted it, left it slightly damp and it looked awful. I would not have left home with it looking like that. But it was a a trial for me at a low price so I just went home and redid it. Oh, and did I mention that you need a code to get out of the carpark? The salon is in the middle of nowhere so most people must drive. Did they give me a code? No. I sat at the barrier with no way to contact anybody until a nice man came and used his card to let me out (with 4 cars waiting behind me).
In summary: not particularly good customer service, Wahanda bargain was not a bargain, hair looked better before I went in except for roots showing (although when I pulled out a hair 2 days later there was half a centimetre of grey at the end and nobody's hair grows *that* fast), would NEVER go there again. Ever.
