Cannot say I am overly happy with the service at rush, I have had a number of their stylists and each one really does vary! The lady I have at the moment is lovely, however works part time which makes it harder for me as I work long hours. One stylist told me my hair needed treatments and was in poor condition. The owner then told me my hair was in perfect condition- so which one to believe? In regards to colour, asked for a few blonde highlights and ended up being bright blonde all over! Not always what you want, I didn't want layers but I've now ended up with them! There is nothing major and I would recommend rush if you are having poor service somewhere else, just stick with what you want don't let anyone tell you different!

Not very happy with my first visit to Rush in Woking. I was to get ash blond highlights in my hair and I ended up with an orange/gold colour instead. When I complained they kindly said I could come back and have it redone and they apologised. I did go back for a lunchtime appointment (I had to get back to work) at 1 o’clock; unfortunately I sat in a chair till 1.25 before I just walked out as I could not wait any longer.

I had spent a while trying (and failing) to find a hairdresser I felt happy with. I stumbled upon Rush one evening about six months ago, and I haven't looked back. It's nice to have someone who takes a genuine interest in the condition of your hair, and advises accordingly. The consistency re products, coupled with spot on after care advice, means my hair looks and feels so much better. I usually see Chigs for my colour, (also best haircut ever!), but when he's not available also love seeing Charlotte, who is also fabulous with colour.

i visted this salon at the weekend with my boyfriend as his sister had recommended them after i had my hair completely destroyed by another local hairdressers who aslo did not do great job on the fella either. i have to say it's true when people say "you get what you pay for" although i'm not used to paying £50 for my hair cut and my boy friend is definitely not used to paying £42 we have both been so impressed that we both made our next appointments before leaving for which we will get a discount next time.
very professional, lovely staff, will be recommending my mum and sister too

Great experience i have been going to rush for some time now in london and have recently changed jobs. its much easier for me to go after work. i have to say that whether you go to the london store or the woking store you still get the same high level of service and standards.
very happy

I booked a hair cut and highlights with Rush in Woking as it was near home and they were doing a money off deal. They could only fit me in with one of the top stylists, so it was still quite pricy. I had a cut, half head highlights and a conditioning treatment. On their half price deal this still came to about £150.00.

The stylist seemed to listen to what I wanted, and gave some good advice initially. However, my biggest problem was that he did not let me chose the colour for my hair. Despite showing me the colour chart, I had not completely decided what colour I wanted, but told him some ideas I had. He bleached my hair and then told one of the assistants to wash it (while he disappeared around the corner). After the wash the young girl came back in with a bottle in her hand. I stopped her and asked if that was the toner/colour she was putting in. She assured me that it was not. A few minutes later, the stylist came back in and looked at my hair saying that the colour was setting in nicely. I was completely shocked and asked what colour he had put, and then asked to see it on the chart. He didn't get the chart and said he had put on a very light colour on because "we could always tone it down after". I was really upset the he hadn't let me chose the colour myself.

It was a very bad experience for me, the stylist just did what he wanted - and did not listen to me at all, despite the amount of times I told him I was concerned about how close together the bleached parts were.

I have since had it toned down to a more subtle colour - as the very high blond highlights were terrible against my dark hair.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Unless you are willing to fight your stylist into doing what you actually want.

i went for my first visit to rush in the the summer and was a bit nervous as i had only just moved to the area from sunny east london i had been going back to my previous hairdresser as i trusted her and she had been doing my hair for a while my first impression was as i walked in for my booking was friendly staff who kept making sure i was comfortable as my stylist was running 5 mins late they offered me a glass of wine which i have never had in any salon before. after flicking through my mag for a couple of mins my stylist came over and said i,m very sorry to keep you waiting which i thought was great again had been to salons where they do not say sorry drives me mad, he sat down next to me and started asking me how i would like my hair the consultation was so in depth that i felt at ease straight away he recommended a hair treatment which i have not had before and told me why i should have one with benefits being smoother healthier hair
after the colour and cut i was 100% happy even more so then with my previous stylist i dont know why i was so nervous i have recommended my two sisters and mum to come here as well i would not go any where else a bit expensive but well worth the treat finish result was amazing even more as my husband actually noticed the colour and cut

Awful! Expensive. Hairdressers do not listen and do not do what you ask for. Colour wrong everytime - flattened by the overuse of toners. Suggest colours that do not suit skin tone. Some of the highest directors (or whatever name they use) are not worthy of their position - they are not that good. Long waiting times - appointments overrun all the time. They charge another £10 for the use of said awful toner ( I went there for far far too long and must have spent over £200 on toners - oh how they make me sick!!). Cut too much off hair. Do not rinse bleach from hair. Blowdry flat to head. Charge for a rough dry with the colour ... oh how it is all money money money...greedy, greedy, greedy. If you go here - tip, drink all the wine you can get because you need it to a) numb the awful experience and b) get your money's worth. Anyway the best think happened to me recently - I changed salon! Revolution! I have a wonderful hairdresser who does my hair more perfectly than I could ever ask for and charges half the price. It really has changed my life and illustrated how utterly ripped off I have been over the last 3 years. I am now disgusted with RUSH because there is so much better out there.
