Absolute waste of money, I got something I didn't even ask for.

I had booked an appointment at a different salon at first, but as I was walking past Rush I thought I'd give it a chance and see how the advisers consult me. They advised me not to go to the other salon I intended to and said they'd make a real MESS of my hair and waste my money. So I listened and booked an appointment with them believing that I will get 100% what I wanted.. WRONG.

They dyed my hair to what "suited" me and to "what my hair can physically take without it all falling off" I showed them not one but several pictures of the type of look I want, they even showed me a book with all the hair colour samples, they AGREED to those hair colour samples, and in the end it was no where near what we both had agreed. That's the worst part, how can you confidently agree with a customer that you'll 100% deliver the result? when in the end you end up saying we've done what suits you and your colour wont lift anymore than that..."

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever experienced, I was so excited to get my hair done, I had never professionally had it done before, I paid so much money for something i didn't even want, the colours are all wrong the tones are all wrong my hair hasn't lifted to what I showed in the picture and sample book, all i kept hearing from them was "if we bleach it anymore you'll have no hair to bleach". I had booked another appointment free of charge because I wasn't happy with my hair, I got my hair bleached again, and when I asked the stylist if they'll tone it to get it the right colour, they said "i'll have to ask my manager if shes happy with me doing that", so basically its up to the manager to decide what corrections I get on my hair? right... after bleaching a toning my hair I got a rough dry and sent on my way. Salons always make a customer have a blow-dry because they want to see the results, so why I wasn't given one as well as my correction to see whether the results have been achieved? You tell me.

If a salon CANNOT deliver what they say they will then why are they even open? How can you tell me you cant lift my hair colour anymore when people with naturally black hair go platinum blonde? You obviously don't hold the right equipment and products to deliver results that people want but don't want to admit it so you just say we don't want to damage your hair. They made my experience so negative and so awful I do NOT recommend ANYONE who wants to get a new look.

I don't normally do things like this however I feel that I have tell everyone my experience at Rush today. I didn't like my experience I LOVED it!!! I didn't have an appointment and went in at 3pm then a really nice lady approached me with the biggest smile that I have ever seen she was well groomed and her hair was amazing this put me at ease straight away. I asked if I could get my hair bleached and cut she booked me in at 4pm which was great as I had shopping to get done. When I arrived I was a little late (I'm late everywhere) however this was not a problem and the same lady I saw introduced me to my stylist Sharon. Sharon was very professional she sat me down and gave me a lengthy consultation even though my hair is only about 2 inches long, she made me feel valued and at ease as she really took her time to understand what I wanted. Through out my time there I was offered drinks and magazines I must say the chocolate, wine and biscuits were a nice touch. The First Lady who I now know is the manager along with Sharon both made me feel welcome even the other stylists and junior members of staff took time to ask me if I was ok while the bleach was processing and the kept the chocolates coming!! I love my platinum blonde hair and the cut is just what I wanted and the price is affordable and to be honest I'd pay more just because the whole experience was enjoyable. Thank you Rush you turned what was a horrible day for me in to an amazing one my family love my hair and my friends on Facebook love it as well the after picture I've posted already has 75 likes along with loads of comments on how good my hair looks. I will be visiting again and can't wait if I'm honest.

Was not satisfied one single bit. Booked an appointment with rush and I turned up 10 minutes late as I had a family emergency, I tried ringing up to let them know I was late but the number was busy. So I got there and spoke to the hairdresser PAIGE, who seemed very stuck up and rude, as I am 18years old I felt that she spoke down to me in a rude stuck up manner, she said to me that because I was 10 minutes late she refused to do my hair and canceled my appointment. She also said that rush as an agency cannot colour people's hair past 3.00pm what sort of nonsense she spoke. She then went on to say that she had a client already with colour on her hair and that if she was to do me she would be making her other customers wait. Such bad customer service I was shocked. My older sister then rung up and put a complaint through about Paige and said how this is such bad customer service and they apologised and said they will be able to squeeze me in, and that they would be able to do my hair at 3? After she lied and said the salon does not out colour on hair past 3. Clearly she doesn't have a clue what she's doing, and she should really try remember that she only works in a salon, and should get off her high horses. I would not visit Rush at all. However the receptionist who I first spoke to was absolutely lovely. They need to teach their staff some respect. Don't visit rush. In ilford.

Place could do with a Clean, staff are Rude Obnoxious up there own backsides the italian guy and his junior assistant were arguing and swearing. The Style director doing my hair did not stop talking about her boyfriend and took no time to do my colour which is patchy and highlights are like think stripes....cut is not quitewhat i asked for but blowdry was at least ok. after spending almost £140. i left feeling robbed.

I went into rush today and paid 137.00 .. I wanted red and copper highlights , also showed a photo to supposedly one of the senior stylists , he showed me the book , we chose the which he said he could achieve on my hair , I was happy that he looked confident that he could achieve it , but to my horror he did my hair brown and blonde hairlights .. He didn't answer my question to why it was brown and not red .. Definitely will not be going there again .. Wouldn't recommend to anyone ..

I had been to Rush last year around September and I was highly impressed with the warm welcome offered to me. Though it was a long waiting time in spite of have taken prior appointment.
I wanted to get hair color done. And I am specific about the color I do always that is INOA shade 4.56.
But the staff repeatedly asked me about the color. As they also indicated that they don't have this shade of Inoa and instead they have another brand with the requested shade. I said simply no for another brand and was ready to leave.
But soon after the manager and one more staff stopped by to tell that they are arranging for INOA 4.56 shade for me by mixing the different shades.
I said ok.... I shouldn't have agreed on first place... but since it was INOA as they said, then I was fine....
color mixing and products are kept in closed room and nothing was visible to me... after the application of color I could feel the intense smell of amonia and the irritation in my eyes.... I somehow was not convinced if they have applied me the INOA product as I have never experienced such odor and irritation ever with INOA ( ammonia free) product....
I would not wish to revisit Rush ... sorry...

Lovely salon. polite and professional staff

I just think there are better deals out there, alot of Salons offer cuts and colour deals for the same price Rush seem to offer for cut

Went to the salon the first time to have my haircut and hair colouring, which overall was ok. Not really great BUT OHH well had my hair cut ! Second time was for brazilian blow dry and gosh, never again. Paid 165 Pounds and the treatment AND service provided were so bad believe me. After one week need to do relaxing again because my hair was still exactly the same as before .... Curly and frizzy. For a hair salon like this plus with prices like that .... The service you provide is really poor.

I had heard about the Rush hairdressing group and was desperate for a New Year cut and this was the salon that was most local to me. I had heard about other's bad experiences here - my mum came to this salon for colour and was left waiting for over an hour to be seen! Unbelievable, but I was determined i would walk out if I was treated the same. Anyway, all in all I was in and out of the salon in under an hour. However I was left £40+ lighter (I had the online 50% offer), though I would have felt worse if I had parted with more money for what was a disappointing time. I specifically asked for a director, as i believed their experience would show with the standard of their cut. I was very put off when the 'style director' kept asking me to put my hand through my hair and tell her how much I want off! Surely she should be the judge of what looks good and how to execute a cut?!!! Needless to say I would not go here again or recommend as i feel like it was a waste of money and my hair does not look different.
On the plus side I was offered a nice cup of tea with biscuits.

I have been to Rush ilford a couple of times now and its now my favourtie salon. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming each time. I wanted dramatic hair cuts both times I went and I loved it each time! The stylist did the cut exactly as I requested it and they always make sure and double check the length you want cut if you want it shorter for example. I'm defifnitly making it my regualr hairdressers!

Having had the best hair cut I think I've ever had, at Rush in Ilford, I wanted to shout it from the roof tops and came to this site. I was suprised to see a negative review. I can't possibly imagine that we can be talking about the same salon. I've always had long hair and decided to go for the chop and have it all cut off - I was so scared but it looks a.m.a.z.i.n.g (even if I do say myself). When I got there I was offered a choice of refreshments and had the most beautiful head massage (all included as part of the service). My stylist was really friendly - she really listened to what I wanted and gave me great advice. Not all stylists were in as full throws of conversation and banter as we were but then some people do just like to sit there and read don't they - and if that's what you want to do - they have an amazing selection of magazines. I'm only sorry that the lady who had a bad experience didn't get past the recpetion desk and get to experience this for herself. Each to their own but don't let this put you off...best thing to do, go see for yourself, I'd highly recommend it.

Have lived in and around Ilford for a majority of my life and came to make an appointment for a family member at Rush as it was a new salon and this particular family member wanted to try somewhere new. The first thing i noticed that the staff who did not have clients were huddled around the reception area talking and their attention wasn't willingly given to us, the customers. One extremely rude member of staff proceeded to make a booking for us whilst another two members of staff stood next to them whispering and giggling and looking in our direction. The staff member, a young Scottish lady was rude and clearly thought that as the person I was booking for was an older person, my grandmother, would need a specialist person as she put VERY slowly and in the most patronising manner possible. I strongly suggest some customer service training or maybe just some general manners or social skills should be reviewed in the staff here. One of the whispering staff members then decided to ask me really loudly and slowly, because quite clearly they must have thought we were hard of hearing, whether or not my grandmother was being accompanied by anyone! I was under the impression that anyone over 18 was an adult and could most probably manage a hair appointment by themselves but with these responses maybe I misunderstood something. As we had been shopping that day we had a voucher given to us for Rush, which was actually how we had heard of it. With the £10 off voucher the cut and blow dry came to £32, a reasonable price, but not for the service. Looking around the salon aesthetically it was pleasing, very clean and modern however none of the clients were speaking to their hairdressers and the hairdressers themselves seemed to be speaking to each other. Needless to say we didnt continue with the booking and would definitely not recommend it. The attitude and approach of the staff was absolutely disgusting, the were patronising, abrupt and arrogant and the genreal ambience of the salon itself? Well there wasn't one. It's a shame though as it looks like it could be a really good salon but there are some brilliant salons in Ilford where people treat you like humans and with respect!

I am new to the area and was checking out my new local.
I decided to visit this salon which is located in the exchange and although it looked very good on first impression, the hairdresser was behaving like a trainee,
I did state in the beginning i was wanting a hair treatment, followed by wash, cut and blow dry.
over all i felt rushed and my hair was only cut from the back and she decided to leave the front.
I asked why had she not trimmed my hair from the front, her response was shocking as she assumed that i would be alright wit the look.
I told her to finish the job and went on to pay was charged £63.00 for a very unsatisfied haircut.
RUSH SHOULD BE CHANGED TO RUSHED AS THAT IS MOST SUITED TO THE SO CALLED SERVICE
