My visit to Rush, Baker Street was one I will not be forgetting any time soon.

The staff were the most friendly, professional and welcoming I've ever come across and they really looked after me.

When I arrived I was offered a drink and told to sit down whilst I had my hair consultation. John the stylist went through in depth exactly what I was after which gave me so much trust in him gathering all my needs and wants.
We then moved over to the hairdressing station where I was offered magazines and another drink, all drinks come with Lindt chocolates, so of course, I got another drink!
John was so chatty whilst he highlighted my hair and was a real giggle, not just your standard hairdresser chit-chat.
When I was having my hair washed the lady washing my hair was brilliant, she was telling me all about Rush hair salon and really promoting the brand. I could tell she was very proud to work there.
Moving back to hair dressing station for my trim and blow dry with John, I could see the beautiful highlights he had created in my hair - it was the exact colour I wanted!
He then cut my fringe - something I am always extremely nervous about, but he took his time and did exactly what I wanted, as supposed to some hairdressers who do what they want!
The price was also very reasonable.

Overall, I would highly recommend this salon and I myself will not be visiting any other salons after the 'celeb like' treatment I got here!

Oh dear oh dear,
I didn't even get as far as through the door.
After calling today to try to get an appointment for corrective colour I did myself, (recently moved near Baker Street, away from my tried and trusted hairdresser) , I've never in all my years encountered such a cocky, brash and rude phone receptionist.
Completely arrogant, diagnosing what treatments I'd need without even seeing me, and trying to get me traipsing across London to other branches, assuring me I need a senior technician, as opposed to me coming along for a diagnostic chat with a competent hair dresser that knows what they're doing with colour treatments, (which they all should do anyway!)
AWFUL - and now checking their price list, overpriced if carrier out by cocky little teenagers like the charming girl on the phone.
Wow.

Bianca was really nice and amazing at trying to understand what I really wanted.
For once, I left the hairdresser thinking it was better after than before.
Thanks a lot,

Alexia

I have very long hair and it's hard to find a great stylist that is reasonably priced. I travel quite a bit for work and am so happy I found Rush. Elle has been a great stylist ( I get a shampoo and blowout at least 2x week). The salon is convenient and very welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent service that does not put a dent in the wallet and is open 7 days a week

Excellent - and very highly recommended. Buzzing, airy salon, super helpful team and Charlotte is absolutely fantastic - an incredible hairdresser who listens to what you want and ensures you leave looking even better than you imagined - and her blow dries are fabulous. Having dropped in whilst passing a few months ago, I am now a regular customer. Love it.

My experience has been so positive that I wish I had started coming sooner!

Despite it being a large salon you are made to feel welcome as soon as you walk in. I am gradually getting to know everyone. John, Oli the manager, Jamie, Chantelle (I'm working on the others) as it is so nice to be in a friendly atmosphere.

Refreshments are offered straight away (so much better now that there is a proper coffee machine!) as you are escorted to the 'waiting' area. John my stylist is a very friendly chatty person who performs miracles on my hair (thick & unruly). I have compliments virtually every day. What more can I say!

I feel relaxed from the moment I walk in to when I leave, suitably coiffed, thanks to these people. Highly recommend!

I have been a client AT Rush Baker Street for more than eight months. From the moment that I walk in the door and receive a warm greeting from the manager Ollie to my absolutely fabulous service (cut, colour, blow drys and up dos) from Charlotte my experience is always amazing. Charlotte is not only technically excellent she offers up great suggestions and I love the way my look has evolved. The girl has taken 10 years off of me!!! I am now a weekly client.

Made quite a last minute decision to book here based on proximity to work and not having much time to play with - but am really pleased that I did and already plan to come back.

I found the online booking system seamless - was able to specify what level of stylist I wanted and got the appointment time that I requested.

My stylist, James was faultless - the initial consultation was excellent - in the past when I have had "consultations" I have felt that despite being asked what I wanted, the stylist didn't actually listen, however James took everything on board and made some great recommendations.

All of the product used were of a really high quality, the blow dry was amazing (everyone has commented on my hair on my return to work!) and product recommendations were helpful and not pushy.

I am really pleased with my cut and my experience- and have booked in my next appointment.

I booked to have my colour done with a 50% voucher. I was told on booking the cost would be £28 and the discount applied to one service only. The stylist was very helpful in advising what colour would work best and told me that she was also going to use a conditioning treatment on my hair. I thought great. The stylist implied there was no additional charge for this treatment however, I asked to confirm and was told that treatments started at £15 and went up to £30. I decided against the treatment and the stylist continued to push the treatment. It became a bit uncomfortable and like a hard sell - it made me wonder whether she was on commission! I expressed I didn't want to spend the extra money. Before washing out my colour, I was asked whether I wanted a rough dry or blow dry. I said blow dry. She blow dried my hair well and I was happy. When I came to pay the total was £71, £28 for the colour and £43 for the blow dry. I'm disappointed not to have been told about the additional cost of blow drying which even compared to top hair salons is excessive. I've left feeling ripped off and disappointed won't return on this basis. Watch out if you think you're getting a good deal with the 50% voucher! I paid £35 in Headmasters for colour and a blow dry a couple of months ago.

I really wanted to like the place because it looks so good from outside and the actual welcome was great. I booked on the current introductory 50% offer and was greeted on the phone by a very impatient receptionist. Not expecting too much, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to meet an unaturally friendly receptionist checking me in. He offered refreshments and even asekd if there was anything else he coulod do that would make my visit to the salon more comfortable. Nothing could however prepare me to leaving with one of the worst haircuts I have had in years. I was in fact so unhappy that I had to take to the scissors myself at home to at least even out the front a little as part of damage control. I find it even more annoying since I specifically asked the hairdresser (I will not mention her name as it would be unfair in case I am the only mishap - which I hope does not happen often at her senior level) not to cut the top of my hair short but only eben out the sides. It took me months to grow my hair the length it was. Once she finished, I noticed that the front looked a little odd compared to the sides which I mentioned to her. She said that this would be evened out by using the correct styling product. The sides and back were all short and I was only left with about 50 longer hairs (yes I could count them) that formed some sort of tail in front. This bit of hair looked stuck on and blew from side to side in the wind. It felt like some sort of pendulum version of a 1960's beaded door curtain. Needless to say, I was not happy but, at the same time, I did not want to go back in case they would make it worse. Only when I got home did I see how bad it really was - she created an arrow shape that started at my (admittedly receding) temples and continued pointing towards my nose. Not wanting to be seen with the bizarre shape on my forehead I have tonight taken a pair of household scissors and tried to correct the mess myeself. I will cancel my follow-up appointment a.s.a.p. as there is no way in hell that I will let her as much as near my hair again. Other people might be happy with the experience but I sure am not a happy customer. I have in recent months been to the soho salon, harrods and tommy guns which are all London based and have been so much happier with even their worst haircut. I do not know how long it will take for my hair to grow back but I will from now on be more careful with who I let take care of my hair.

Do not go to this Rush Salon Baker Street Sam coloured my hair blonde and it looked brassy after a week so I went back and he bleached my hair again and I had to pay £100 for his time. After 3 weeks it has gone dry and brittle and thin so I went back again he offered do bleach it again they do not do refunds. Sam would not stop chatting chatting and he kept asking his other hairdressers what to do not very experince and not professional.

Great for the price - nice salon, big and airy. Wide selection of drinks offered on arrival at salon. Hairdresser was very nice, really quick and was happy with the results! Have already booked a return visit!

Just awful! I went to Rush for highlights and a haircut. Whe I arrived I was kept waiting over 15 mins, there was no apology. I was then introduced to Amy, who would be doing my colour and also the therapist cutting my hair, both separate therapists. I went through what I wanted in my cut. Amy didn't seem to be that interested in what I wanted. She spent a lot of time chatting to other threapists and dealing with other customers. At one point she took me to the basin, put toner in my hair (she hadn't mentioned she was going to put toner in my hair!), then left me at the basin, with my head over the basin for 15 mins without saying anything. After my colour, I was then introduced to Lucy who would be cutting my hair, this was not the same therapist I had met earlier!. The highights and cut took over three hours.

Very poor customer service. I would not return!

Heading towards New Year I desperately needed a hair cut and due to pressie buying didn't have much spare cash. Spotted Wahanda in the Metro and thought I'd give it ago and what a great experience. The Rush Salon at Baker Street is clean, modern and spacious. My hairdresser was an Aussie lady who did a fantastic cut exactly what I wanted with no fuss. She recommended products that could help my ongoing battle with London hideous hard frizz inducing water without pressuring to buy. Thanks Rush and Wahanda well recommended!

Really enjoyed the conditioning treatment and massage and the consultation was very helpful, as I have had a lot of problems with my hair. I was also satisfied by the product recommendation.
