I booked a 30 minute intensive tissue massage. Biggest waste of time and money. Not only was it not intensive the therapist was so inexperienced, she apoligised half way through the session for several mistakes. There are so many other places in the area so give Relax a miss. If you can get a last minute appointment, you have to ask yourself why!

Recommended by a friend, i booked a deep tissue massage here, after having struggled to get relief in a painful shoulder for quite some time, caused by 'knots' known as trigger points.
I booked an hour and paid £75. The treatments stopped at 15.47, instead of 16.00 and during the chat I had with the therapist afterwards she admitted she wasn't able to get through these knots to make it any better.
Maybe it's me having high expectations but for £75 i was hoping for something better. I did get in touch and my email did get acknowledged nearly a week later with an apology for having this negative experience and the advice to 'just try and relax my muscles'. Uhmmm...?Certainly not returning to Relax.

Been walking past this place for years and after i came back from india on holiday i felt i had to have a massage like i did in india, I was in there for well over an hour, which felt great to not be rushed.
The staff are very frendly and helpfull ,the place is very clean and fresh, if you need a masage this is the place to go , its not a jumble sale of 100s of treatmeants just massage........ keep it up

I walked in off the street and was immediately squeezed in for an appointment for a 15 minute "energising" chair massage. My therapist, a quiet, muscular man (I can;t remember his name...John?), sat me down.

I think the chair was not at the right at the correct height, and he did not really take much notice or care to adjust the headrest, arm rest, legs bit or anything really...i felt like I had poor posture and I feel like he should have noticed it as a trained professional. I have had many chair massages, and well I have never felt so awkward and incorrectly positioned.

He did ask what parts I would want him to address, and although I specifically indicated my shoulder, he never actually did it...hmmm....annnoying.

The massage was of high quality however...he demonstrated a real intricate knowledge of deep tissue massage as he really dug in deep and hit the right spots. But between the poor chair positioning and the fact that something was missing from his "bedside manner", the experience was just OK. The cost was £17, so good value overall.

I have walked past this location on Brewer Street hundreds of times, and it always looks lovely as it has a little flower shop inside and is so tastefully and colourfully decorated. I have never been inside, but when I stepped inside after deciding to have a 15 minute seated acupressure massage (£17 the treatment menu said on the outside), I really was impressed.

The place smelled fantastic, and there was an aura of tranquility. I paid beforehand, was offered a glass of water and soon thereafter my therapist (a woman named Karen) lef me to one of the special massage chairs that are on the ground floor. The ground floor can be bustling and there is no separation from the waiting area, till and ground floor treatment area so you kind of have to zone out the background noise, and also not think about the fact that people could stare in an watch you while you are getting your treatment, but I have to say that the massage was so good that it was very easy to zone out the background distractions.

There are clever little hooks & drawrs behind the wall that hide away your personal belongings, so i was not worried about my watch or bag. I asked Karen to not do a scalp massage as I don;t really like that part, but she informed me that the rest of the acupressure treatment would involve my back, neck, shoulders, arms & hands.

The pressure was fantastically deep throughout most of the treatment, although I think it would have been nicer to have more deeper muscle manipulation in the arms and forearms/tennis nerve area, and less attention to my fingers. The highlight of the treatment is the part where the therapist performs this circular penentrating movement around my hips, upper glutes and lower back which just sent tingles throughout my entire body (perhaps it was one of my chakra or meridian points?).

It was a fabulous 15 minutes, and I will definitely be back. It looks like there are some very nice treatment rooms upstairs, so perhaps I may try a longer treatment next time. I highly recommend this place.

I was first introduced to Relax back in 2001 when I had a trapped nerve in my neck. So much time has passed so I don't remember the massage or the therapist, however I remember in one session I regained movement in my neck.

I've been converted ever since. I've tried the shiatsu massages, deep tissue massage, full body aromatherapy and foot detox spa and have only good things to say about Relax.

I either book in advance or turn up on the day. I don't normally have to wait long to get started and everyone is friendly, warm and clean. Their hygiene standards can't be faulted on my visits either.

Generally, I don't go anywhere else, however I did try another company last month and wasn't as satisfied with the results - but they were good.

Relax comes highly recommended.

(And no, I have no affiliation with the company and don't own any shares in it either!)
