Ockenden Manor Hotel & Spa part of Historic Sussex Hotels

Ockenden Manor Spa, a harmonious blend of modern design and nature's inspiration.

Exceptional facilities in a unique environment. The South's newest and most utopian spa, fed by its own underground spring.

Nestling in the warm green of the West Sussex countryside, Ockenden Manor Spa has been designed to create a haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Purpose-built inside a 19th century walled garden, the contemporary airy structure contrasts and complements its neighbour, the Elizabethan Ockenden Manor, and shares it nine acres of parklands and gardens.

The Ockenden Manor Hotel was very nice and all staff were very friendly. In particular the breakfast was excellent in the morning.
The Spa was really fresh and modern and in very picturesque surroundings. Again, all staff were very friendly and polite. A very relaxing place to be!

Fantastic overnight break with Spa access, dinner and breakfast included. Arrived very early and was told that although the room was not ready (expected) that we could use the spa facilities for the whole day for no extra charge, which was a great touch. Spa itself is great, only reason for 4* is because the indoor jacuzzi was very small and the amount of seating was limited for the number of people, though i was told this was a very busy day. Dinner was tremendous with canopies also provided as well as a beautiful three course menu, couldn't ask for more in that respect. Would highly recommend.

I visited with a friend back in January. We were lucky enough to have dry sunny weather which made the outdoor hot tub a real treat despite the frosty morning. The spa is in a purpose build modern building right next to the hotel and the facilities are very good. I had the Bio Rhythm Ritual, a treatment that I normally would shy away from due to the holistic undertones of the description, but I have to say it was one of the best treatments I've ever had. Staff were very attentive, our room was quaint and comfy with beautiful views over the gardens and the food absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend and would love to visit again.

The staff were very polite and acommidating . When we arrived we were offered an up grade, free of charge .The massage was amazing , best I've had! Very clean venue, staff working hard cleaning up after customers. Great food with extra courses thrown in for good measure. Great value for money , would recommend it. Only down side was the steamer was not hot enough .

Amazing Hotel, lovely Spa (which requires some work but does not impact the experience). The food was out of this - great service. I will definitely return.

Wonderful relaxing day. Food absolutely spectacular at the hotel - wouldn't eat at the spa as some packages offered.
Only disappointments: changing facilities cramped and poorly equipped, and being undercharged by £20 (we paid additionally for £250 worth of treatments) and being hounded by telephone for my card details to correct the error. This was pretty poor customer service in my mind - I was called not only while driving home, but at 8pm and 9pm which somewhat spoilt my blissed-out mood!

A relaxing overnight break with a girl friend.
The hotel was quiet and atmospheric. Staff helpful. Food gorgeous. We upgraded to a twin room as the basic rooms are all doubles - glad I checked. Close to town so could enjoy lunch and a walk in Cuckfield.
The spa was modern and perfectly designed. We both had massages which relaxed us completely. Staff helpful.
Will definitely be back.
