A nice place and decent treatment but they really need to get themselves organised a lot better. booking the appointment was difficult and I am not even sure whether the massage I had was the one I requested, was very confusing.

I actually have never made it to the spa. I just got round to writing the review!

I bought 2 vouchers through Wahanda in June 2010 - £30 for £100 worth of treatments.

My first appointment was cancelled the day before due to staff sickness. Fair enough, it happens.

I had booked my next appointment in June 2010 for November 2010, two days before going on holiday. As all the treatments had to be booked at the same time, I booked for a manicure, pedicure and massage. You could only book online, so I made 3 separate bookings, leaving half an hour in between each treatment in case they were running late etc. For each booking, I wrote that I had booked another 2 treatments on the same day to use the voucher and if there was a problem, could they contact me.

I had a voice mail the day before the appointment (remember I had booked 5 months in advance) saying they only had time to do the manicure, so I needed to rebook.

No-one answered the phone and the hotel to which it is attached to told me they were getting lots of calls from unhappy customers, but they were unable to help as they just rented the space to them.

It was only after leaving several unfavourable reviews on various sites that Wahabda refunded my money, but this also took some time. Now that I think about it, I'm sure I left a review on here at the time, so maybe it was deleted as it was so bad? Who knows?

Anyway, I have noticed several deals for this spa on Groupon but dread to think how they can cope.

Would never consider going here again.

The venue was lovely, the staff were attentive without being overbearing. They offered a glass of water to drink. The therapist was very good. The only thing I was not happy with was that I had booked a 60 minute massage and after 50 minutes the therapist finished and left for me to get changed. If it says 60 minutes then it should last for 60 minutes. They were actually very good about it when I complained and offered me a complimentary 30 min massage another time.

Very disappointed with O Spa, I had booked three different treatments with them on different dates.

I get an email the evening before advising me that they have cancelled the appointment and that someone would be in touch to re-arrange.

No one got in touch so i tried to get in touch and the phone number was not working, so i tried to called the other branches but no one ever picks up, how does this company operate I ask?

My other two treatments were a week later, so i decided to visit the branch and to my surprised the branch was no longer operating :(

I have been in touch with their HQ for months and had no response.

I even try to ring the branches now and still have not got through to anyone

Very disapointed

DISGUSTING.
Based upon a groupon voucher, I purchased items from O Spa.

Looking at my account 7 weeks later these items have not been dispatched.

No reponse to many emails.

All spas and head office phone normally engaged for hours. As soon as the ring tone becomes available, noone answers the phone, even if i let it ring for over 10 mins.

In 6 weeks I have not spoken to a single person.

I will be reporting them to trading standards and I now want my money back.

Very angry. O Spa must be laughing all the way to the bank

My experience has been even more shocking. I bought O spa vouchers trough lastminure for my friends for their birthdays in November and December 2010! I also bought one for myself as I thought I would join them for a nice and fun all girls spa day. The first disappointment came when we wanted to book, in December 2010 they told us that the soonest they could see us was August 2011! Eight months later. We were quite disgruntled but their customer services did not really seem to care about that, they said it's either that or they can give us our money back... So on Wednesday morning (10am booking as no other slots were available) we show up there only to find the place closed for refurbishment! They had our telephone numbers and email addresses yet nobody even bothered letting us know they were closed! If I wasn't so disapponinted I would probably find it as hilarious as the builders who saw us noting the phone numbers from the closed doors... The only email came at 2.30pm that day long after our appointment (the lady I have spoken to on the phone must have passed it on to someone) saying that our booking has been cancelled and that we can book at other O spa centres - the nearest available slot, I am told, is in September!!

I purchased a groupon voucher for 3 treatments for £32, which I thought sounded amazing value. However, it was impossible to speak to anyone to book, there was a premium rate phone number on which you could leave a voicemail for someone to get back to you (but you had to pay an excess to use this service) and when I registered online there were no slots available until after the voucher had expired! Having read many derogatory reviews, I was resigned to losing the voucher as I couldn't book, however a few weeks before it was due to expire I checked and lo and behold, there was a slot on the bank holiday Friday evening! I booked this slot and managed to find a direct number that someone had posted and called the salon direct to confirm.

I arrived, expecting to find the salon closed or no-one available to do my treatment but was pleasantly surprised that everything seemed to run smoothly.

I was taken to a well-decorated private treatment room, wrapped in a massive fluffy towel and had the foot massage (while my feet were soaking I had a back massage, which I thought was the back massage I had opted for as well). I was then laid on the bed and had the re:phresh facial, which was nice, but I've had better. I then had the full back massage.

I thought the therapist was good, she knew what she was doing and I was very surprised, based on some of the thoroughly negative reviews I've read regarding the voucher treatments they offer.

The treatment was supposed to be for 90 minutes, however I would say that in total it lasted for about 75 including completing a form at the beginning.

All in all, I was very very pleasantly surprised that my experience was as positive as it was!

Despite a less than stellar first experience, I thought I'd give O Spa a second chance (read: I was suckered in by another voucher). Major, major mistake.

- Was told to book appointment via new online booking system, however upon creating a login discovered they had no available appointments for the next 6 months (or even beyond).
- Emailed O Spa head office to see if this was just a problem with my account, no response for over a week. - Forwarded email to Head Office reiterating my request, cc-ing the voucher provider, basically threatening to request a refund, funnily enough this prompted a faster response.
- Finally booked in, upon arrival the therapist again had no idea what treatment I was getting.
- I was wearing glitter nail polish, which is admittedly a pain to remove, however the therapist basically gave up on the polish remover and opted to scratch the remaining polish off my nail with her nails ...!!!
- Appointment was late in the evening, so can understand they may not have wanted to linger, but I was basically rushed out 5 minutes after finishing the manicure, so not only were my fingernails still wet, but the pedicure wasn't dry either. I did express concern over this, but she tapped on nail and said "yeah, that should be dry" and hustled me out. Needless to say both manicure & pedicure were ruined by the time I got home as I was wearing boots (middle of winter), and basically as soon as I touched anything the thick layers of nail polish on the manicure immediately smudged.

In summary: AVOID. like the plague.

Booked in for a much needed 60min hot stone massage and the therapist tried to change it to half facial / half massage, which I conceded to quite happily, but then at the half way point the therapist decided to keep with the massage for no reason. Pressure of massage was very light and there was very little use of hot or cold stones, the therapist didn't seem to be able to find trouble areas either. No music or essential oils in the room. No towel around the opening for your face on the bed which felt awful and caused terrible red marks on my face for the evening - therapist's response: lucky it's dark outside... an apology might have been nice. Would not go back to this branch.

whlst i undertstand their point i think this is a blatent shirking of responsibility as many venues extend voucher expiry period so if all of them were to shut down in the meantime it means oyu would lose ur money altogether. this experience will really make me think twice before purchasing another wahanda deal. so far i have tried contacted o spa on every number, email and website and have also reported them to trading standards. The next stop will be small claims court as someone has taken my money without honouring the service....whilst this is obviouly ospa, i believe wahanda also have a duty as they are the ones that took my money and gave it to an establishment clearly in disrepute!

Avoid it if you can...I had to wait for over 3 months before I was given an appointment for a sports massage. When I arrived I found out that I was booked for the wrong treatment. I was told that the only person who does the sports massage had left for the day. The staff didn't bother to confirm my treatment on arrival and didn't seem to care to find out if I had received the correct treatment. I had to write to customer services to complain and that took ages. I would definitely not recommend this place for anyone. It might look trendy and situated in a nice part of London but that's about it. Appearances is all it has - no quality service.

my rating is only so-so as it was practically impossible to book an appointment and then when i finally got one and turned up I was told there was some lack of communication with the booking team and the spa and i was not booked in. i was very disappointed as i had taken time off for when they could accomodate me and had to re-book. when i finally had my appointment it was good but not worth wait unfortunately. the staff at the mayfair spa were very nice and I understand that they must have been inundated with the offer but i don't think they should sell so many if they are not able accomodate and service should not slide because of it. great deal but will not be going back.

Although the therapist and treatment itself were perfectly fine, the process of actually booking the appointment is like gouging out your own eyes with a sharp implement.

Additionally, you would think that if you had booked for treatment X, you mentioned this on arrival to the receptionist who could also see that your appointment was for treatment X, it would be helpful if this was mentioned to the therapist who was performing the treatment beforehand, rather than making them have to ask you once you were in the room! I had bought a Wahanda voucher and was getting a sports massage; the only information the therapist had been given was that I was there for a "speed spa" (whatever that was supposed to be ...). This also seemed to be the case when I visited on a later occasion (ie: the therapist wasn't told what treatment I was getting) ... which is strange since you'd think of all people they'd be the ones who would need to know??

Although there were no problems with the massage, until the booking/admin/service side is sorted out, I wouldn't go back, as the stress involved in booking the appointment offsets/outweighs the benefits of the treatment itself.

I got this cheap deal for 'Exotic Senses' package from lastminute.com. This is the worse ever customer service both from O Spa & lastminute. When things go wrong, their customer service is totally unhelpful and do not do as they promised.

I booked 3 weeks beforehand and they called me 2 days before my treatment to tell me that their therapist has left and as such they have cancelled my session. They said they will refund within 14 days. It is now 13 Jan, over 2 months, no refund has been given.

I have since told my credit card company to dispute this.

Next time, I'll stick to Wahanda!

I was given a voucher for the O Spa for Christmas. I didn't expect to be able to book an appointment with short notice but had no problem at all booking online for a few days later.

The spa is really beautiful, very glossy and well decorated. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. I had a head massage which was wonderful, very relaxing and the perfect amount of pressure. The treatment started and finished on time.

Very impressed and will keep my eye open for special offers at O Spa!

after calling them up like a million times - I finally managed to have a rebalancing facial done at Ospa but it was really bad and the therapist was not at all trained to do facials! i even had my eye make up on after the facial.
However afterwards I complained about this to Ospa and they rebooked me in for a complimentary facial and after so many cancellations from them i finally had it done and must say that it was pretty good!

I got this as a gift from a friend and we were meant to go together. However, it took ages for us to be able to make an appointment. Eventually we went but it's just so that we could use the voucher, not because we were looking forward to the treatment. Never going back again.

Overall experience was not good. It took almost 6 months for me to make an appointment. The staff was very eager to rush you in and out. A bit like a conveyor belt system.

I really enjoyed my visit to O Spa, which is really conveniently located just off of Oxford Street, on New Bond Street. The salon was gorgeous, a haven in the middle of the chaos of the West End. My therapist was lovely too, she made me feel very relaxed. My voucher was for one of a selection of treatments, and the one I chose and booked for was the Fire and Ice hot stones treatment. When I arrived however, they had no details of the fact that I'd booked this treatment, and it seemed that it perhaps wasn't available as they offered to give me a 'Wahanda massage' instead. This turned out to be a nice, but basic, massage with oils. This was quite disappointing, but I put it down to miscommunication, and I still found it a very lovely treatment and salon.

I have been trying to make a booking with O Spa... I tried their central booking number, I left phone messages when noone answered, I tried their online enquiry sheet, I tried the Wahanda booking system, I tried walking in (as it says you can on their website), and I tried the myrid of other numbers provided by staff when I walked in/called the spas directly and they couldn't take my booking. No answer, no response, 'we can't take your booking here but I can give you a number'... My voucher now expires on the 19th Dec and apparently they are booked out until Jan 2011 - how these people actually got a booking, I don't know!! I find this completely unbelievable and how this business survives, I don't know! Either way I paid £20 for a voucher I will never be able to use and which has wasted hours of my life. So if you are thinking about buying a vouvher with them... don't bother!!! There are other spas that offer the same deals without the headache!!
