This salon looks like a professional salon but the service is APPALLING! You can only book appointments on line or over the phone and the phone lines are NEVER answered. I used to use this salon for waxing when it first opened a few years ago and it was ok back then. Recently I have booked 2 sets of manicure / pedicure appointments and they didnt do anything I couldnt do myself at home. I also never received the hot stone foot / ankle massage or the shoulder massage that was supposed to be included with the vouchers.

I wouldnt recomment O Spa, their service is terrible, some of the staff are lovely but some of the front reception staff come across arrogant and rude and the treatments themselves are well below average. I wouldnt use them again. I have given them plenty of opportunities!

I had the same i booked my treatment and when i got there was told that the therapist had called in sick and they had tried to email me, even though I had no missed calls or emails i accepted that it was one of thoses things and re booked. The next treatment they told me exactley the same thing and i re booked again and called to check my booking beforehand for the third time, they began to tell me again that the therapist had called in sick but i kicked up a big fuss and they managed to squeese me and my friend in. The service was awful the receptionist were rude and unprofessional.

I complained to the head office and received no response for months when i did they apologised and offered me a free treatment which i booked through head office, when i arrived at the salon for the treatment the salon was closed. I tried to call 6 times with no answer in the end heading home.

DO NOT BOOK ANY TREATMENT WITH THIS SALON IT IS AWFUL

Never again ! This salon looks so professional from the outside - you would not imagine what goes on inside ! My mani and pedi that was supposed to be 'luxury' were the worst I've ever had. When I asked if the rough skin at the top of my toes could be removed the therapist said they didn't have the right file for this and the one they had was too big so this did not come as part of the pedi ?? The whole thing was an absolute farce. The therapist put far too much polish on my fingers and toes (trying to rush) and so both smudged. She did the toes again but the polish on both finger and toes ended up looking 'blobby'. She kept saying it was quick drying polish but obviously not. The staff were whispering to each other and gossiping about the clients that were in there - I feel there will not be any clients to whisper about in the near future. I just don't know how they get away with giving such poor service. This kind of thing can put you off of buying discount vouchers as it makes you wonder if there's a different class of service for 'full paying' clients. If I'd have paid the apparent full price of £75 I would have demanded a refund.

Given groupon voucher for lux mani/pedi as a present. Extremely difficult to get through to book. Therapist cut my hands 3 times and toe once but was not concerned, even though I was bleeding. Wrote to complain and did not get a response. Appalling, will not go back.

I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one who had a bad experience with a Groupon voucher at this spa. I was really disappointed as I'd walked past several times making a mental note to check it out.
Staff:
The reception staff were abysmal: I forgot the hard copy of my voucher and they refused to either print off a copy for me or take the details from my iphone, insisting I return home, get a hard copy and bring it back -before- I could have my treatment! The therapist was really pleasant, but wasn't very experienced.

Environment:
The treatment room was tiny and dingy with broken lighting. The speakers in the room didn't work so I had the joy of listening to 'relaxing' music through an ipod Nano balanced on a trolley in a doorway.

Massage:
I opted for the Indian Head Massage. It was sub-optimal to say the least. The therapist clearly had no specific training or any idea that it's a particular massage discipline.

Mani/Pedi
Pedicure was ok. Manicure was dreadful; rushed and more of a file and polish - I had to run an orange stick under my nails when I got home to remove the nail and polish residue.

Conclusion:
One of, if not the worst spa experience I've ever had. I bought 2 groupons but won't be using the second. Companies need to grasp that if they attract new custom by offering discounted services, they need to provide the highest standards possible to ensure people return. Other spas in the area may be more expensive but definitely worth the extra.

I went to the oSpa in Canary Wharf for the first time yesterday with my Groupon voucher. Back massage, foot massage and manicure for £33. Cheap right? I arrived on time for my 5pm massage, but I was kept waiting for 5 minutes, then by the time we started my massage, it was some time after 5.10pm. Result: short back massage. I was asked whether I wanted the pressure to be medium or hard; I asked for medium. There was no real pressure at all (it felt like I was being rubbed) so I asked for harder pressure. No change. There was no real kneading of the muscles, the whole thing felt like I was being rubbed with oil and that was it. Not a real masseuse at all.

Next came my foot massage. My first masseuse was replaced by a second therapist - and I had to wait five minutes for her, so more time knocked off my massage. It wasn't actually a foot massage as such, it was legs and feet. I really would have preferred it to be just my feet - but then the therapist couldn't even get that right either. Rather than kneading and massaging the soles of my feet, where they are the most tired, she kept rubbing the tops of my feet so she was rubbing right into my bones. This was quite painful. Also it felt like the time spent on one leg was not the same time as the second leg. It was all a bit haphazard... i think I could do much much better and I am not even trained!

The worst bit of the whole experience is the fact that the room is so tiny that your feet actually pop out of the doorway (there isn't a door but a netted curtain). There is also an arched doorway which seperates the next door therapy room from yours. Again there is a netted curtain in the doorway but this does nothing to block out any noise. I heard everything the next door therapist said and it even felt like the therapist was in the same room as I was!

Tortuous massage out of the way... and on to my manicure... can't go wrong with this can they?! Wrong. The little hand bowls were too full so as soon as I dipped my hand in there, it overflowed and went all over the counter and on to my chair and then jeans. You would have thought they knew how full to make it right? On to the manicure itself... this has got to be the worst manicure ever. There was no meticulousness to the task, it was slopped on as though the therapist was in a rush and even the second coat wasn't even coated on properly, you can actually see the first coat on some finger nails. Absolutely rubbish. I thought I'd been to the worst salon in London, but this just takes the award for it. You really can't get any worse than this.

Now to the positive bits.. the staff were nice and courteous, and quite focussed on customer service. The salon itself looks new and clean. There seems to be some nice products on sale.

But the main business is where they completely fall down. They will close down within a year.

Now on to t

I made the mistake of visiting the OSPA after purchasin a GROUPON voucher. The treatment was for a luxury manicure and pedicure which I later found out had nothing to do with the luxury manicure and pedicure on the spa menu. The whole treatment was supposed to be for 1 hour. The manicure tool all of 15 minutes. The pedicure took about 30 minutes and was done in a room the size of a bad tub. There was no foot bath which is usually included in the most basic of pedicures and the pedicure essentially consisted of a quick file and polish. I simply do not understand why places like this feel that if they rip off people in this manner that they will have cutomers who return. I for one will not be going back.

I work in Canary Wharf and I love this Spa!!! It is the place to be in Canary Wharf, not off a backstreet but in the center of the shopping mall. The atmosphere and ambience is amazing and truly the best Day Spa I have been to (and that is a lot) It has a New York feel to it in terms of of the speed but backed up with great facilities and amazing service. The extras in terms of refreshmentsa dn personal service are great and the personal concierge that will seek to accomodate you rtime preference is heaven. It is a must for me every week while I am in London, especially for express treatments. My only crticism are the room can be a little small but apart from that it is 5 star pampering in beautiful surroundings. If only there was one in New York as well! O Spa please open one in New York! Best of both worlds in 2 citiies....love, love, love this place! My saving grace in London. I would highly endorse a vist...or 3!
