Do not use.

They're now only doing home call out (which is £10 on top of their normal prices - which are horrifically expensive anyway).

I used a voucher when they still had a spa, and though it was clean and the girl who did my nails was friendly enough, I found the whole experience awkward, and was definitely glad I'd used a voucher as the quality is in no way worth the amount that they charge. Additionally, I found the managers to be very rude.

I definitely recommend finding another place for your mani/pedi needs - it'll be cheaper and better quality.

Do not use. I had a voucher and this time they told me they are only doing home care. They Could not make the time they had agreed and refused to come the following week. So warning, do not use!

Got hold off one of the discount vouchers so decided to give it a go. The salon itself is tiny, which is not the issue but feels quite cramped and the facilities are awful- cheap white plastic bowls for the feet soak, battered towels etc. I booked myself for the mani-pedi, which normally would have been £65- I'd NEVER pay this much and definitely not for the sort of service I received at the Nailgirsl! The nails were nicely painted but I still have lots of rough skin on the soles that has not been removed, cuticles have not been sorted out etc. It was nice to have my nails painted by someone else but in terms of the pedicure I could have done a better job myself, at home.
Won't be using again.

The worst salon i have ever been to. My gels are horrible, the level of service is no where near as good as what i recieve at my usual salon for the same price! they charge £35 for gels and dont even include a soak or cuticle removal, the place i use in south kensington goes above and beyond for the same price. The owner was rude to another customer whilst i was in there arguing over £5 with a heavily pregnant lady, it was totally out of order in front of everyone. The girls seemed nice but everything just ruined the whole experience.

Worst salon i have ever been to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! therapists where lovely but the salon and everything else was just a disaster!!!!! no hot water, which i believe to be illegal in salons (salons must have access to hot running water for clients and staff to be able to wash hands), i was in there last year around july time i believe and there was no hot water then either, the salon was freezing cold, i didnt even want to take my shoes off or my coat as was like a fridge inside and always is. the chairs are uncomfortable and very heavy which means its almost impossible to move, which incurred me to be leaning across the table for my manicure. i asked for a signature mani which includes, file, cuticle work, scrub, soaking cuticles in oil, hot oil treatment,(which is meant to be left on for 10 mins and was left on for 30 seconds maximum) and a massage followed by a nail paint. i would expect this treatment to go on for atleast an hour to an hour and half, but was a 30 minuet treatment. the prices are soooo over priced aswell, the salon is grotty and small. i sat in the same chair for my pedicure and the bowl they put my feet in was a grotty small plastic 30p bowl, they had to fill up my water using a kettle and my feet whernt even covered with water, i had to ask for more water and the water was cold which i had to ask again for more HOT water. the nail vanish's arent the best either as its their own brand and was thick and clumpy, although i give it to the therapist for making the nails look amazing with such shabby tools and vanish's. feel sorry for the therapists as you can constantly hear the managers on at them about timings and to hurry up as next customers waiting. felt like i was on a converbelt with this service. not happy at all and will never go back here. the managers really need to pull their finger out and sort the salon out asap or i rekon it will get closed down before long. very very very dissapointed

A really thorough and luxurious manicure. Lovely hot oil treatment and hand massage. Great selection of colours and my painted nails lasted nearly a week which is a record for me! Would definitely recommend. (One small niggle, a badly tuned in TV was on which kind of killed the atmosphere. some music would have been better.)

The venue was very nice and clean, with a very nice smell and lights. I had a pedicure there and, despite the very good ambience and staff, the therapist was bad: the treatment in itself was just ok, she used just a couple of products, not more, and the worse part was about the nail polish: she took the 80% of the total time of the pedicure to put the nail polish on my nails, and it was not even perfect! I could have done by myself better and faster, and as if it's not enought after 10 minutes I was waiting to let it dry, she put a kind of oil on the nails and said that now I could go cause this oil had dried the nail polish. Well, when I arrived at home and I took my shoes off, the nail polish was all gone an my toes!

I received a really warm welcome when I got to the salon which got the visit off to a good start. I filled in a short personal details form which was fine and then the fun part - choosing a nail colour from all the tempting pots on offer. That done on to my pedicure which was thorough and efficiently carried out. The treatment was of a high standard and I was able to pick another colour from the dozens available to take home with me. I really enjoyed my pedicure and would be happy to return to Nail Girls and can highly recommend the salon to others.

Bought this as a treat for myself and my sister. The venue is just off Upper Street in Islington (just over 5 mins walk from either Highbury & Islington or Angel) so perfect for combining with shopping or lunch. The venue is fairly simple, but clean and comfortable. Staff were great - we had our manciures at the same time and both therapists were friendly and chatty. There was a great selection of polishes to choose from - from classic colours to A/W metallics and some really unusual shades. We paid £18 through a Wahanda MobDeal, for a 30 min mani or pedi (we opted for manis and got about 40 mins) and a varnish to take home. Really great value, would definitely recommend to others and buy again myself! I'd expected a file and polish for that cost, but got a really good manicure.

The girls at the salon were really helpful. There was a technical issue with redeeming the voucher and I was really worried about receiving the offer before Christmas, as it was a gift. The girls at the salon took my details and were able to swiftly sort out the issue and I received the offer (3 varnishes and glass nailfile for £40) in time for Christmas! I was really happy with the colours!

The staff were all very friendly, and they have sessions open until late during the weekday so it was very convenient for me. Booking went smooth with no problems. The area is a bit small and the facility a bit shabby, but the friendliness of the staff covered the atmosphere. It would've been nice if I could stay a bit longer while the nails dried, but suppose I can't ask too much. It was good value for money.

Went for a 30 minutes manicure. On arrival i was helped to find the best color for my nails, with so much choice it was definitely needed! I got a soak, shape, hand massage and paint, it was all very pleasant, only negative point is that the top coat wasn't applied properly on all of the nails...
All in all a great experience, i'll definitely go back.

I was completely surprised at the less than positive reviews of Nail Girls. I had an excellent experience - I got a great pedicure and a free nail polish for £18, which was a total steal. I will definitely be back.

The salon, though quite small is very bright and welcoming. As it was the week before christmas I was offered a glass of mulled wine and everyone was in a very festive and relaxed mood. The salon uses their own brand of nail polish which does not have acetone in it and is supposed to be less harsh and longer lasting. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely go back in the new year to try their bio gels.

Looked fairly ordinary from the outside but very friendly welcome inside for myself and clients who came after me (including a woman with her small baby in a pushchair). The manicure was not the best ever in terms of cuticle prep but the therapist was very helpful in hunting down the best colour to go with a specific outfit and the finished nails lasted longer then most of the many manicures I have had.

What a let down Nail Girls was. I was looking forward to coming here for a mani and pedi but the whole thing was a let down. The salon is pretty small and as all manicure stations were busy it felt very cramped and we all had to be careful anytime we moved. The technician actually dropped a pot with instruments in.

The treatments were disappointing, I chose nice colours but the technician put two thick coats on my fingernails meaning they took forever to dry and bubbled. Also my cuticle were covered in varnish. The result was really unprofessional.

For the pedicure you stay in the same chair and just lift your foot up under the table - it was really odd and not at all relaxing. When lifting the feet up and down you had to be ultra careful not to smudge the varnish, but this is really difficult when you can't see what you are doing. The finish on my toes was only slightly better than my fingers but not much.

On the website I read about a drying lounge but I couldn't tell you where this was as I was just told to sit on the couch, I wasn't given a towel to put under my feet so my feet were just on the cold floor.

The staff moaned to each other and myself and the other clients about things they weren't happy with in the salon (they said they used to have a better pedicure area) and they also moaned about not having enough space to work in. This was unprofessional but I felt a bit sorry for them because they were right in what they were saying.

The cherry on the cake is that this place is actually really expensive but I'm not sure what they think justifies the high cost. I don't believe the service, the products (OPI and Essie are miles better than their products) or the finish does.

Salon was quiet the morning I went but the ladies there were very welcoming and the other client was very chatty which made for a nice atmosphere. I had a mini-manicure and the therapist was almost as much of a perfectionist as I am so I was very pleased with the end result. Good value for money with the voucher deal.

I went to Nail Girls to have a pedicure a while ago. Staff was ok but was trying to sell the full pedicure as apparently with the voucher I was only entitled to half the lenght of the treatment. Also, the nail polish I was given for free was from a very limited selection of colours. Beside that, they did a good job.

The ladies at Nail Girls were lovely, chatty & friendly. They clearly have been able to establish a good rapport with people, particularly their more regular clients. The location is great for North Londoners, just off of Upper St, so very easy to find & also to do something before/after. The results are that my toes look pretty & given the state of some of them that is no easy task! I did pay for an upgrade so I had a scrub which was nice, but maybe I was hoping for a better result with less rough skin but that could actually again be the result of the state of my feet - it had been about 8 weeks since my last pedicure. But I did enjoy myself, which is a huge part of it & my feet do look lovely again.
