Let me preface by saying 1. I don't do reviews and had to sign up to Wahanda to post this review. 2. I have lived and worked in Brazil so I know about waxing and 3. I am a voucher addict who will travel far and wide to take advantage of a cheap £10 wax BUT I must say that my experience yesterday with Martina has changed all that. I got a Hollywood waxing voucher for £10 and gave her a 50% tip because she absolutely deserved it. Martina was the epitome of polish and professionalism and took her time to do a fantastic job and I mean fantastic. Totally meticulous. We have all experienced the substandard service that some of these vouchers offer but not Nail Candy in Marylebone. It was hands down the best wax I have ever had and having taken away their business card will now say that she will be my go to waxer in future. Forget the cheap offers. First class service. Thanks Martina.

I wasn't very satisfied. I booked the shellac Mani and pedi. When I got there I was told they didn't have much time so it was an express pedi which was just shape and polish change. So there was no soaking of the feet or removal of hard skin. I was then charged an additional £5 for a French mani shellac which I wasnt told about before hand.

Always great customer service - rare to find these days. Would recommend to a friend. Only downside is the noises you hear from the gym sessions.

It's quite a poky little place in a busy noisy gym so the atmosphere isn't really ideal for a beauty treatment. I went with a Groupon for a mani-pedi for £35 as opposed to £80. I wouldn't consider paying full price; I think I just got what I paid for and nothing more. I was pretty happy with the manicure although the colour changed dramatically as the layers were applied. I chose "Purple Purple" which did, indeed, look purple on the chart and started off being purple. It very much looked like blue in the bottle though but I was told you couldn't go by that; well, it turned out blue. There was constant talk amongst the two staff while it was being applied as to whether it was going to "shrink" or not. It only did a little and actually remained intact for many weeks to the point that I got rather annoyed with it. It was my first experience of Shellac and I hadn't realised you couldn't take it off yourself. I couldn't be bothered to go back to the salon and presumably pay for them to take it off again. I landed up having to bear with it for as long as possible and then soaking my nails in remover before trying to rub the polish off. Not great. There was a bit of a misunderstanding as I had booked both the manicure and pedicure (I had the email with me) and there was an awkward moment after the manicure when I had to utter the words "...and the pedicure". One of the staff had to work through her lunch break to do it. She was nice about it but it was all rather awkward. The pedicure didn't really consist of very much other than a bit of buffering and applying the polish really. They only have one seat for this purpose in the corner of the room right by the door and they just put your feet on a towel on the floor. The other staff opened a cupboard in the wall right next to me to get her lunch out at one point. It was okay but I wouldn't bother going back; there are millions of these kinds of places in London and nothing to make this one stand out. I also asked about nail art but they didn't have any designs you could look at; you had to bring your own in which was a bit disappointing.

I have been to Nail Candy several times before, always very happy with my appointments. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the quality of manicure and pedicure is very good. The salon is small and a bit noisy due to being located in the LA fitness, but I don't mind. In addition, with Wahanda deals it's always a good price, so I am very pleased with my experience.

Considering I paid £30 for this treatment I was really disappointed I've had much better pedicures elsewhere for this value that have been amazing. For an expected hour long treatment it was over in 30 minutes. During that time I was sat on a chair in the middle of the shop. The lady doing my nails was so low I had to keep sticking my leg in the air so she could see the bottom of my foot, which luckily being flexible helped but it's not comfortable! . The buffing, exfoliating and getting rid of bits of skin also seemed very feeble. And there was no massage as expected when you pay this much! Having said that the paint job was fine. But I was asked if I had flip flops which I wasn't told to bring. In the end they had me sat in the corner of the room facing the wall with my feet under a fan blowing out cold air. My feet were freezing by the end of it!

After all this there did seem to be a few people gong in for manicures which they seem better equipped to deal with. There was a spare treatment bed as well which would have been a lot better if I sat on there I would have thought.

I won't be returing here again for anything and I haven't even mentioned the overflowing bin in the corner that I was sat next to at the end!

Shellac manicure on Saturday, chipped by Tuesday. Took over an hour to apply as 3 of my nails had to be redone as the shellac 'shrank' under the lights and didn't cover my nails! Looked good when I left the salon but 4 days later & 2 nails are chipped. Disappointing, don't expect that with shellac.

My only disappointment is about the quality of the product as after 3 days 2 nails were already chipped (I have an office job!), but when I went back to Nail Candy they fixed them without any problem.
Unfortunately 5 days after the nail polish started to become swollen on the side of the nail like if it was not holding on the nails anymore...I ended up peeling it off a couple of days later!
