Appointments are best made by text as Monique is a one woman operation. The 'salon' is easy to find but strangely in converted hotel where all the rooms have been turned into offices which is a bit odd walking through. Another oddity was the lack of running water in the room, which meant that the therapist has to leave the room frequently to get more water. This felt a bit odd, half-naked with eyes covered and surrounded by other offices. Monique started off with the back and shoulder massage, which was nice and relaxing if a little too gentle for my liking. The facial was good but the famed Summer Fruits Mask just seemed to be a strawberry and raspberry yoghurt. Monique makes all her own products, which may be a good thing but to be honest, the whole experience made very little difference to my skin or complexion.
Considering I did not pay the original amount (bought on a wahanda deal), I think it was excellent. Especially when the salon is in Knightsbridge as well. The facial was enjoyable and the back massage was also good. High recommand!!
The facial and back massage were excellent; not only enjoyable at the time, but effects lasted for a few days. Monique is enthusiastic about her new location, which meant she talked rather more than was welcome which in turn made the experience less relaxing than it should have been. The environment sadly is far from opulent as it all takes place in a small room which was originally set up as an office space (and is surrounded by other offices). I also felt that hygiene might be improved,; towels were obviously not changed from previous client - or only partially changed and I had to ask to have the 'face hole' covered in tissue before she started the massage. Nonetheless, she is a confident and competent therapist and most definitely worth a try, esp. for a special offer. Would probably not pay full price unless the environment and other points mentioned above are satisfactorily addressed.
Sheer bliss! Starting from the staff in reception, the whole experience was a delight. I arrived early so went for a walk around the block (to see how the other half live!) then used the toilets on the ground floor. The whole place is luxurious and very 'Knightsbridge'. Then up in the lift to the mezzanine floor when Monique greeted me. Very friendly and approachable. First she did the back massage. Parts of my back were quite 'tight' but with Monique's massage I could feel the stress ripple away. Then the facial, which was excellent. I could smell the strawberries! Monique gave my open pores a thorough work over and my skin looks fabulous now! Also included were arm massages while the mask was working. A colleague is developing a range of products and I look forward to hearing about those when they are available. A truly wonderful experience and I'd love to go back if more deals are available. Thank you Monique and Wahanda!
Easy to find, near to Knightsbridge tube station. Monique has a room within a fairly swanky office building which serves its purpose but is literally a room so do not expect some of the added facilities you might get in a beauty salon or spa. What I loved about these treatments though is that Monique knows her stuff and her advice and technique are superb. She makes some of the facial products herself and has a real passion for what she does. I had the massage and the facial Wahanda offer and was so impressed with the quality of these treatments which was spot on. The massage lasted about 30 minutes and the products used were good quality and the facial lasted around 45 minutes and was very thorough. When I had a mask on, Monique would give me an arm massage or shoulder massage - all very luxurious. Definitely one to go back to.
