This was the first place I went for laser hair removal using a groupon voucher. After trying two other places I can honestly say this place was complete rubbish. They spend about 1/5th the time needed to complete the laser treatment properly, swiping the laser so rapidly they miss patches all over. In my experience, six laser hair removal sessions at this place will produce the same results as 2 sessions elsewhere. At the end of the 6 treatments, they acknowledged the results were poor and offered to sell me 4 more sessions at a high price. Of course I declined and started a treatment elsewhere with the same machine (Soprano Ice) and the difference is night and day. The new place takes 90 minutes to treat the same area that Michael Jane spent 15 minutes on. It's a pity that Michael Jane is simply so greedy that they cram so many customers in knowing they will receive sub-standard treatment. Note: I was treated by 3 different people who all took the same approach (i.e. do the bare minimum and move on to the next customer). Stay away, they're greedy charlatans.

NO customer service at all ! Had a full head of highlights and was quoted a price a LOT LESS than I paid on the actually day!The quote included a full head of highlights, an extra colour plus toner) Then I was not satisfied with the colour so I went into the salon today to ask if they could make it look better with a toner and that I was not happy. (Note that I actually asked the hairdresser I had for toner but she insisted I did not have it, as it looked better without) I was told in the salon today I would have to pay for an extra treatment if i wanted toner put in (NOTE £15 FOR TONER!) So in their eyes it was tough s*&T if I didn't like my hair colour, I would have to pay MORE to sort it out! In my opinion, if you are not happy with how your hair looks after paying a LOT of money for a full head of highlights (£120) they should have bent over backwards to sort it out for me - for free. In fact I was only asking for some toner to put in, that is not a big job at all, I have had this many a time before.
The worst part was when I spoke to one of the male hairdressers on the telephone before going to the salon, he said to me that the toner in fact would be FREE if i wasn't happy with my hair, if i came in on the same day the colourist was in that did by hair. But when I went into the salon today he lied out right and said he never said that, in front of the very rude receptionist and another hair dresser. So the whole objective of me going into the salon today was to try and get another hairdresser to put the toner in for free, to sort out my hair sooner rather than later, rather than go back in when the hairdresser I had was back in.
I now know for sure, that the rest of my office will not go into the salon after my experience, I just hope someone see's this review from the salon and maybe they start to improve their customer service or they will loose even more customers.!

I have bought a Groupon voucher for £219,00 to safe some money . First day it was I've been to this clinic straightaway I would like to cancel but I could not cancel . That's fine , cause I have paid a lot of money . Las week it was my last visit after 3 times . Wow that is only half that what I have paid for . I have Just cancel all my treatment . They are unbelievable . Wasted my time my money , it was really the worse experience that I aspect for . recommend you TO LOOK FOR ANY OTHER CLINIC .

Staff kept me waiting while they were having a personal telephone conversation. I did a laser vein removal in two areas. I had it done before somewhere else, so I knew what to expect. One of the areas ended up looking worse for a week and then the same as before the treatment. As for the other area, the nurse missed half of it. I do not recommend this place at all. It was terrible!!

I had the worst experience ever with this company recently. The manager was very rude and very unprofessional. They were also try to get me to pay extra money for something I bought on groupon. I regretted that I didn't read the reviews before the booking! I have made a complaint to the head office, but they are just ignoring my letters. WORST company EVER. Will definitely not recommend to anyone.

I had a Groupon voucher for a skin tag removal and I was nervous mainly about it hurting. However it was completely pain free the lady who removed it was so gentle and very quick - totally excellent. Also asked me if I had any questions and explained aftercare. This was 2 days ago and there has been no itching and no pain
Would definitely recommend them
Note they were running late however they did explain that when I arrived and asked if I would like to go shopping and come back in 30 mins which was nice - not many salons bother!
So really good experience

Rude manager who tried to get me to pay more money even though I had bought a voucher from groupon! If I knew there were additional charges I wouldnt have booked my ipl sessions here. I found the manager to be very patronizing and her ''politeness'' was through gritted teeth. She was blunt and pushy. after reading these reviews I regret buying the voucher its a waste of money. please listen to the reviews and DONT BOOK WITH THEM!!!! the patch test was literally 2 seconds long ......I have had ipl before at a few different salons and it has never been like that. this salon has given groupon a bad name

Totally agree. Made a complaint too, but they just ignore your emails and letters. Worst company and manager ever. I guess many women learnt their mistake by booking with them!

Went in for initial consultation for laser hair removal. They ran late by an hour. Other clients also complaining how their appointments were cancelled, they do not have sufficient appointment slots, always running late and that the managers are rude. I went in for my consultation it was very rushed, the lady was not attentive and very blunt. They are so fully booked they couldnt fit me in for almost 2 -3 months so in my case it'd take a couple of years to complete the course of treatment.

Hi,
I was just about to book a course of laser hair removal sessions with Michael Jane but after reading reviews on this page I'm completely put off. Is it really true? The complaints concern mostly lack of customer service and incompetence of the staff. Would the owner / management like to comment? I have to say I'm quite shocked. It's very uncommon for a beauty salon to have such bad reviews..

PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS... I HAVE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE! They will ignore your calls for appointments, cancel appointment, will not offer a refund. I went in for laser treatment and the ambiance was very rude and unfriendly. And I also got burnt during my treatments! Please take this as a warning to potential customers wanting to do laser treatment with them!

I felt it really important to write this review.
I have had laser hair treatment before from a brilliant laser place. They left and Michael Jane moved in and replaced the previous company with their equipment and staff.
I signed up for 6 laser hair removal treatments and on the final round of treatment they increased the laser settings, supposedly to achieve a better result.
The outcome was that they burnt me; so horrifically. I was debilitated with the burns for a few days and it has left me scarred. i am having to seek legal action for this.
They do not know what they are doing, the staff are totally unprofessional and after this happened to me and i contacted them for some after care support they didn't want to know. Apparently i am not the only one that has been affected in this way.

I used to be a very good customer for many years coming to Michael Jane for a variety of treatments: from waxing to facials, hair cuts or dye etc, even bringing friends and always tipping generously despite putting up with a variety of less good treatments............ But I guess one doing this is taken for a fool, as they recommended for me the CACI treatment and to pay in advance £450 for 10 treatments. Needless to say after 3 treatments I have not seen any difference but they asked me to continue. Even after 6 treatmens I have not seen any difference so I asked for the difference of money back.

From this point onwards, and despite being such a good customer I was treated so badly and no money was ever refunded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner keeps the money close to his chest once he tricks you with treatments that do not work.

Needless to say, I decided to never go back to that place. But I do not recommend this place to anyone. Better run away!!!!!!!!!!!! Check all my other honest reviews and make up your mind.

I went for just one sesson of laser hair removel to try it out. The treatment itself was fine but I definitely would not go back due to the absolutely awful staff that work there: unhelpful and on the verge of being rude.

I have really enjoyed visiting this salon. The therapist is a really nice, professional lady and she always has a chat with me before my facial and listens to any concerns I have about my skin and then during the treatment she doesn't really talk - I find this perfect as I love to relax and zone out! The Guinot facial is an hour and 45 mins and my skin looks and feels amazing afterwards and I really like that whilst the therapist advises me on skin products, I have never felt that she is being too pushy.

I recently had a wax a this salon and it was very good but I still love my lycon wax which unfortunately they don't yet use at this salon - hopefully soon though?!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this salon and look forward to my next facial.

I had a peeling to clear up all the dead cells from my face.
The venue was astonshing and thetherapist was nice even if I would prefer her to speak less!...
After the treatment the facial did work well and my face was cleared up of the greyish tone...
Highly recommended!

I have been to this salon before and find the staff and facilities very good. I had a £5 credit for writing one of these reviews and decided on an eyelash tint for £11 which was actually £6 with my credit. I was very happy with my therapist and the tint was very good and has lasted several weeks. The only criticism I would have (and I don't know if the fault is with Wahanda or the salon) but the price advertised on this website was different from in the salon - it had gone up to £14 so I had to pay another £3. Infact there was question over whether my £5 voucher was even valid as they didn't seem to know about promotion! They did accept it in the end although I did feel quite uncomfortable as if i was trying to give them a fake voucher! Anyway all's well that ends well although I don't think I would use a £5 credit at this salon again in case the same thing happened, which is a shame because it is a nice place.

I am doing microdermabrasion treatments for about a year already but at Queensway venue I found a most professional therapist so far. I bought 3 sessions and completed two so far with the same therapist. She said that for 30 years she is in this industry and I could really feel that. She asked lots of questions about my everyday facial routine and gave a few very helpful advices on how I can make some improvements. Usually I know what to expect from this treatment but I was very pleased with the result. She concentrated on the most needed areas and just gently went on sensitive ones.
I would continue my treatments with her on the regular bases; especially the location of the salon is so convenient.

Very convenient location and friendly helpful staff. I signed up for 3 sessions - the first two sessions lasted nearly an hour, the final session with a different therapist lasted less than 30 minutes. Despite inconsistency in the treatment times the overall experience was very good. However, I’m new to microdermabrasion and didn’t really notice any difference after a course of 3 (except my skin felt much dryer for a few days afterwards). Perhaps a longer course of treatments would be more beneficial.

I like the venue as it is very easy to find. The ambience and the staff is also very nice. I have had done 2 treatments so far and have booked my last one. I had different therapists so far and found them both professionals.

I really enjoyed my treatment there. The place was clean and buzzing, and the my therapist was so friendly and knowledgeable. If I only I lived closer I would definitely return.

The salon is on the lower ground of a hair salon. Ambience is not great and treatment room also wasn't too welcoming- quite sterile looking, with a very uncomfortable mat on which to lie on. Treatment time varied greatly (had 3 microdermabrasion sessions). I did not realise I would have loads of sand-like material stuck to my face and hair as an end result. Not advisable to have treatment if you then want to carry on with your day as you will need to wash your face with water somewhere to get rid of the grainy material. Was not impressed. Skin felt softer and smoother, but would imagine there are better venues to have this treatment at.
