We booked out treatment through Groupon and were very exited about the treatment + use of facilities, once we got there we were signed in at the gym counter and advised the way down to the SPA. We came downstairs no one at reception apart from a hand written note saying all beauticians in treatment rooms please knock or come back later. As we were 2 hours early we decided to have a coffee upstairs and come back a bit later in hope there would be someone to great us. In the gym cafe we ordered two coffee late, there was some food on the side croissants etc and they were uncovered and dry, so we left the treat out. We sat down and a moment later the waitress said they unfortunately don't have late glasses as they went missing or someone took them home, we said never mind just serve them in what you have. After a good while we then wanted to use the pool etc so we decided to go downstairs and check in the SPA and then go for a swim. We got to the SPA still no one there so we decided to knock on one of the doors. A woman came out and told us to wait in receptions as shes in the middle of a treatment and is not able to help us. At the reception a woman arrived who seamed to be the "manager", she got us some chairs and started explaining that our treatment was cancelled and 2 of her beauticians did not turn up to work. Apparently she tired to call us but some of the numbers in her calender were rubbed off. Given that they called us a day before to confirm and tell us to bring swimwear it seamed rather odd that the number has been rubbed off. She then offered us a free lunch and use of all other facilities. Given that we came for a massage and not the GYM were did not want to use any other facilities as they did not look too inviting or clean to us. We also refused the "free" lunch at the cafe as our previous coffee late experience was not too amazing either. We traveled 1.5h on the train to attend this amazing experience and all we got was a lame apology and no value able compensation. We then decided to go for a refund with Groupon case still ongoing as we did not have the confirmation email from the SPA that this event happen! After we get the refund we will go and invest our money in a proper SPA with nice facilities and professional beauticians. A shame we have not looked at the reviews earlier we could have avoided a BIG disappointment and waste on money for travel etc.

Phoned last week to make a booking for today however, after travelling quite a distance to the spa, I was told that there had been a mistake and I had been booked in for the following week. Neither 'therapist' was helpful nor did they attempt to rectify their error. I was bluntly given a flyer with a list of their treatments for future reference and essentially told to leave. To be honest, I'm actually relieved I could not have my treatment today. Judging by the sheer lack of intellect displayed by the staff, I doubt either of them have a brain cell between them to actually qualify as a professional therapist.

When we arrived in the spa the manager was disciplining staff in front of us (not particularly relaxing).

We filled out a short form, and then went through to the pool, sauna and steam which were lovely - however within 20 minutes we had been kicked out as the poolside became 'female only' from 4 - 5. The manager had told us that we could use the facilities before our treatment, but had neglected to tell us that the men wouldn't actually be able to use the pool from 4 - 5. He obviously knew this would happen, however he let us go through to the changing rooms and get into the pool knowing before long we'd be thrown out.

I was offered a robe as we had around 45 minutes to wait in the very cold relaxation room, however there was not enough robes to provide the men with them. I went in for my treatment 20 minutes before my boyfriend, so he was sat waiting on his own before his treatment, and I was sat waiting around after my treatment.

The treatments we received were fantastic, on the plus side, extremely relaxing and the redeeming factor of the day.

The management of the spa is a shambles, and the manager is clearly very over his head. I did enjoy myself at the spa, however this was due to the company and the massage. Generally I'd say there are better deals out there.

Visited this spa yesterday with my friend with a Groupon voucher. If u want a nice day out with your friend, please do not visit this spa! Our appointment was at 2.00pm, so arrived early to use the facilities first which were good. Sat in waiting area to be called for our treatments and I was called for my session. I have to say the therapist I had was good and treatment was as it should have been. Have no complaints there. However, when I came out from treatment to wait for my friend to finish hers, she appeared and told me that she had not had anything done and had been waiting the whole hour and a half I was in treatment for someone to tell her what was going on. It became apparent that they were not running to schedule because of late arrivals, more like lack of organisation and far too many bookings for them to cope with. The Manager and therapists had no people skills or explanation for this. Just kept saying he understood, I do not think he did. My friend was told she could have her treatment when I had come out, which would have meant me hanging around for one and a half hours. He did not seem to get that we had booked as 2 friends wanting to share an experience together and not separately. My friend declined the offer and will have to rebook her treatment. Was not offered any other compensation.

We booked this 3 months ago, both have kids so anyone with kids will understand that this takes a bit of organizing with partners etc. We don't live near each other so this day was meant to be a treat for both of us and ended up being a huge disappointment.

Me and my friend got at good deal from Groupon and went along to the spa, not really expecting it be brillinat. Boy were we surprised. The staff were fantast and the facilities were excellent. Raachel Thomas and Hina Q (who were out therapists) were friendly and brilliant at what they did. Thank you ladies for a lovely day.

My mum and I were treated to this Spa voucher by my son and I was very wary of going as never been to a Spa & massage before. When we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who explained what would be happening, what we could use, showed us around and gave us times of when the massage would start. I managed to use the facilities before the massage (steam room) and after (swimming, jacuzzi, and steam room again).

The massage was wonderful, hard and relaxing. Well needed and the overall experience was lovely, I would definitely come again.

Arrived to a lovely reception and was greeted by the friendly staff. We arrived an hour early so we could make use of the facilties - Jaquzzi, Sauna, Steam room and Pool. All very Clean.
We waited in the relaxtion room to be called for our treatment. Very relaxign room with lovely music and sun loungers. Offered a drink which was a pleasent gesture.
The treatment was amazing, would recommend to everyone. They put us in a double room which was lovely as we got to have a chat at the same time. Oince our treatment had finished we sat in the relaxtion room and enjoyed a drink before getting ready to leave.
All in all a very enjoyable experience. Looking at the treatment list again already.

My friend and I visited the spa having purchased a voucher on Groupon. We booked treatments for 2pm. On arrival we were told we could use gym facilites and to report back for lunch at 1pm.
The chaging rooms were so hot they felt like a sauna and there was a huge fan in there to cool things down. We returned to the spa a1 to spoke to the manger. He informed us our treatments would now be at 3pm and luch at 1.30. He offered a drink which eventually arrived in a plastic wine glass - the base promptly fell off.Luch eventually arrived at 2.15pm. We had ordered prawn sandwiches but got 1 egg,1 prawn .The relaxation room was cold and dark with only 3 loungers and 2 small stools to sit on ,several clients had to share a lounger- and most seemed unhappy with the service they were receiving .We had to go back to the changing room to collect cardigans as we were feeling shaky we were so cold .There were no towels or robes available. We eventually went in for our treatments at 3.20. My therapist was very apollogetic and provided a good service but my friends therapist did not speak at all durig her treatment and seemed moody .For the first time ever when visiting a spa we were never sked to fill in any medical questionnaires which we found worrying. We were told the first client of the day had arrived late causing the hold up but reading other reviews this is obviously a common occurance. They must overbook and do not have enough rooms or therapists to cover the number of clients and are totally disorganised. Will definately not return.

Me and my husband went to this 'spa' today after purchasing a voucher through Groupon. I put spa in inverted commas as I really think calling this place a spa is false advertising.

It was clear from the off that as we were Groupon customers we could expect a lesser level of service. There were no towels and when we asked, the chap who I assume runs the place said that they can't give out towels as people might steal them. He then got me a towel from the hairdressing salon and gave it to me making me promise to return it. This in itself I found a little insulting. They also don't provide robes or anything else you would expect from a spa.

They were running behind time and said we could wait in the pool until they were ready which initially we thought would be ok. Until we saw the pool. Which quite frankly was tiny, unclean and in need of some redecoration.

We then got dressed and waited in the 'relaxation area' and were finally offered a drink served in a plastic wine glass (the voucher says champagne, it's not, it's sparkling wine and vile). The relaxation area was just a dark room and was freezing, and so we were pleased to be ushered in for our treatments... a back, neck and shoulder massage and a facial.

Now I am a massage therapist and so I am always relatively hard to impress, but for me it's the basics that mean the most. A warm room, communication between the therapist and client and a simple, comfortable treatment. Immediately our treatments lacked all of this. No basic consultation, no questions about allergies, injuries, sensitive areas and generally no interest in what we wanted from the treatment. As a trained therapist I find this very worrying and wonder how many people complain about reactions to the lotions they use (which I have no idea what they were, unmarked bottles and no explanation).

I didn't even see my therapists face and she only spoke to me to laugh when I squirmed away from her squeezing my waist, something which as a therapist I am always very careful of as ticklish areas can make clients uncomfortable.

She then proceeded to put pressure on my ribs, spine and later collar bone and I really found it uncomfortable. During the facial I felt like I couldn't breathe as she persistently rubbed either side if my nose and made me worry I would have to gasp for air! The door went twice and my husband's therapist had to get up to answer it... Which was quite distracting. And finally when the treatments finished, I got up to find my clothes wet as I had been lying in wet and presumably used towels. Lovely.

I would be very careful booking anything here and would not recommend to anyone! Not worth the money or time and has the reserve effect from relaxation.

Very disappointed with this spa - I've been a few times for IPL using a groupon voucher - if i didn't have this voucher I wouldn't have returned after my first visit. My appointments have never been on time. I was once kept waiting for an hour, after they decided that somebody whose appointment was after mine should be seen before me, even though I was first in the waiting room! As it was my first time having IPL, I expected the staff to explain to me about the procedure, they didn't explain anything and I had to keep asking questions, most of which were replied with one word answers. The woman who did my second appointment was much better though. Unimpressed.

The best part of this was the facilities the jacuzzi, the pool, the steam and the sauna! Although the steam and sauna were a little small, did enjoy the privacy of knowing that they were in the changing rooms so great being single sex only. We were told that the therapist would come get us from the steam room as that's were we told them we would be at closer to our time for our treatment, this didn't happen. When we got moved to the waiting area they didn't remember we were waiting there, it was only when my sister asked how long the treatment of facial and massage was going to be so that we could organize the rest of the day that we got some communication from them. The room was nice, but had no heating in it at all, and it got quite cold during our massage. I did ask and got told the room has no heating and they turned to ac off. We were together in one room with two therapist, but there was no communication from them in regards to the oil they would be using, what part of the body they would be starting from. For a full body massage just having the back neck shoulders and legs i wouldn't really class as a fully body massage considering I am an avid spa go-er. I was highly disappointed that my sister didn't get the experience I wanted her to have. Her therapist didn't get ask her to put her arms down to be able to her her shoulder area proper. Technique wise for her massage my therapist was OK in my book. They did both wash their hands quite a bit between different body areas which I thought was good hygiene. What I didn't like was that the two therapists were miming whispering to each other having a conversation, one of them must have said something funny as my therapist was trying very hard to hold her laughter. I didn't find the behavior very professional. We then moved on the facial.. we didn't get a choice in regards to which one, she didn't even ask what type of skin I have if its dry or if I was allergic to anything. Thank god I don't have any allergies and it did seem rather rushed. There was no conversation, and felt more like a face massage with few products that what I would consider to be a proper facial. There were a few knocks on the door, and you could hear another women complaining to the manger about waiting so long. If it wasn't for the few hours we spend using the facilities I would have been in a rather foul mood. Wasn't all that great and I would not be going back

I used the groupon voucher with a friend. There was only 1 therapist between us so alot of waiting and waiting around. Staff are confused and unprofessional. Could not have microdermabraision as they run out of product. I ended up having a dermalogica which was very nice although therapist seemed abit scared and unconfident. Massage was nice although i felt exposed due to the lack of towels around me. Music was too loud and you can also hear the centre music in the backround. No bubbly like stated in offer. Even tea was served in a plastic cup. I just felt awkward and at times un relaxed. Nice swiming pool and jacuzi. Small sauna and steam room in changing rooms. I would say it was just about worth what i paid. I know they just started up but I hope they read this and change for their sakes.

WARNING! I purchased Spa experience via Groupon. Offer included full use of gym and crystal microdermabrasion. I was not allowed access to the gym, had to wait 80 minutes for my treatment and was told, at the start of my treatment, that I could not have crystal dermabrasion because they had run out of crystals. Therapist very evasive when asked how long they had been without crystals'. I was offered the cheaper dermalogica facial.

In a nut shell a complete waste of money! Manageress was nowhere to be seen and her mobile was unobtainable. As I was leaving the Spa there were 2 very unhappy woman making a complaint.

I hope it works out better for you. On the plus side the therapy rooms and spa look very nice! Just make sure you speak to a therapist the day before your treatments. Get them to confirm the time of your treatments (they have a tendency to double book). I had the same problems contacting them, I gave up and called Ilford Esporta, they will put you through to the Spa.

Just got back from the spa with my daughter, had a really nice time staff were very friendly and helpful. treatments were very good they were running alittle late as one group had arrived late, but we were told this on arrival, we both had our treatments at the same time so no hanging around. The only down side is the sauna and steam room were very small.
All in all good value for money, we booked through groupon, but if we had paid full price i would have been dissapointed.
