Went for the afternoon tea package which was fab. Food was lovely. Quite busy for a Sunday I thought and it meant a shortage of water in the relaxation room. Not a huge deal until you're told to keep hydrated after your treatment! Spa facilities were great but a jacuzzi or hot tub would have made it extra special. Would recommend

Had a chocolate and strawberries mud rasul at a cost of £15...worth every penny!!!
Had a lovely relaxing day wandering around in my robe and slippers. Only down side and it was a small thing, the steam room wasn't working.
thr sauna and pool were lovely though.
thank you for a lovely day

Nice venue and surroundings being a on a Golf course.

Lovely relaxation room with comfy loungers and candle lit lighting, plenty magazines to read with your reading light should you wish and nice cold water to refresh you after a good swim.

Let down by lady who introduced us and showed us around, she (conveniently) failed to mention that the sauna and steam room were out of order and were actually being worked on by a maintenance man. A member of the Spa spoke to us in the pool and advised us that the steam room and sauna had actually been out of order for some 2 weeks, she was not happy as paying for her membership she should have the facilities she is paying for and rightly so, she was also shocked to learn that no one from the spa had contacted us to let us know that these facilities were out of order or being worked on the day we were due to visit! We travelled over an hour for our girly spa day treat and whilst the sauna did get repaired before we left I feel it was incredibly dishonest and unprofessional by the staff members to not make us aware of this, obviously somethings are beyond their control but informing people of such instances is well within their control.

Having said that the pool area was lovely and warm, the pool was clean and a nice temperature. It was lovely sitting relaxing on the loungers after a good swim and our treatment a Mud Rasul Therapy was a lot of fun - for anyone who hasn't had one before please don't expect the staff to apply this treatment to you as you would expect a massage (this is what me and my two friends were expecting)- you have to ex-foliate yourself with salt, wash it off then apply mud to yourself before sitting in fragrant steam for 15 minutes then showering it off. This was a good laugh with the girls though and for what we paid (we had a £10 off voucher code) we felt it was worth our £15 each.

The strawberries covered in chocolate were nice and we enjoyed sitting relaxing in our robes drinking a refreshing glass of water and a nice cup of tea. We were asked when we first entered spa if we would like lunch and we were undecided, we thought someone would provide us with a menu when we went up for our refreshments but no one did so we went all day without eating until we reached home, this was something I felt was a bit forgetful by staff.

Overall I would go again and I would use Wahanda as booking was easy and clear.

Staff were very friendly! Great back massage! Bento lunch meal was delicious! It was a shame that only the steam room was working on the day

There was four ladies in our group and we all had a very pleasant visit at the spa in the Hill Valley Hotel. The staff were very accomadating and re- timed our treatments so we didn't have to wait about for each other to finish. My facial was very professionally carried out and very relaxing. Tea was served bang on time with a very good selection of sandwiches and cakes.. Altogether a very good experience and excellent value for money

The room wasn't ready for check in, and we had to call up for our complementary prosecco. However the staff were very friendly, food was excellent and the spa is really nice. Would recommend.

the day was generally very good, but there was no jaccussi and the sauna was out of order, the 4th member of our party couldn't make it due to a family member being in hospital and the spa were not very helpful about the use of the 4th spa day, in the end one of the party had an extra treatment but we did ask if we could use the day another day and they declined. the lunch was nice if not over priced as no drinks were included. the place was clean and the facilities in the changing room were great, the treatments were outstanding, some of the best i have have ever had.

Wonderful day! The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were great just one minor thing missing and that being a jacuzzi; that said I will definitely be booking to go again in the future. Amazing value for money!"

Great day. Would have loved some different types of water eg cucumber for refreshment, but lunch was great, massage was amazing. Only downside was that had to walk through reception to get to bathrooms.

Went in for the 'blissful spa day' package. Massage and sole delight treatments were exquisite. Came back feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I might be nit picking but each of the treatments were actually 25 minutes as opposed to the advertised 30. Apart from that, I would highly recommend.

As a young couple we're new to spas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though there was a wedding present, we felt just as important and very welcomed. Our waiter Luca was very lovely, he explained things such as different wines to ensure we chose the one for us.
Our experience at Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel was definitely worth the money, I'd recommend the hotel to anyone. Big thank you to all the staff.
