A really pleasant experience with a mix of exercise and leisure. We also enjoyed a cream tea afterwards, although got overcharged but rectified when pointed out.

Forest Pines is a lovely place to go for a spa day. The staff are very professional and helpful. The spa facilities are very clean and are well worth a visit. I go a couple of times a year and make a day of it. Try lunch in the bar above the spa. It is a lovely place to sit and relax and the food is reasonably priced and good.

Treated my daughter to her first spa day with the die hard regular spa girls trip once every few months.
It was a good offer for £20.00 each to include a drink and Danish on arrival. Unfortunately I can not say that I enjoyed it as well as my last visit in December 2012. We arrived at 10am went to have a coffee and the smallest Danish I have ever seen but not to worry as it was included in the price and we laughed it off. Then we got ready to have a swim and a gossip in the Jacuzzi we got into the pool and the temperature had certainly dropped a few degrees then I thought I would warm myself up in the Jacuzzi that was temporarily out of order although the paper sign looked like it had been there for quite some time, so I went to use the heated beds round the side of the pool and they also had a note saying waiting for maintenance !!!! went into the steam room which didn't have to much steam coming through the best and cleanest part was the sauna.
Changing rooms a little shabby now. We waited in the relaxing room with the 1970s laid back wicker chairs and dim lighting before we were all called up to have our nails done. It was only a file and polish but no soaking or hand cream in sight it was a quick file and a paint last time I did get a bit of hand cream, but the girl was pleasant and my nails did last for nearly 7 days. All this laying around made us hungry so we went to eat in the restaurant, please we left it till late afternoon as they were people who had waited for 40 mins for there lunch and the young lad said one member of staff had called in sick so there was only him and the manger working all day we ordered our meal and a bottle of wine, It did come straight away and the food was nice but the white wine was warm I asked for another bottle that was cooler as they were charging £17 plus for just the house wine so I at least wanted it chilled but they did not have one as he told me know one had put them in the fridge till late on in the day, we drank it and didn't complain to much as the young lad was doing his best and its not his fault that Qhotels are trying to run a restaurant on the min of staff one person off should not have such a detrimental effect. After we had lunch my mother and sister in law walked round the grounds and myself and daughter hit the gym and yes some of the equipment was out of order. My experience was not the best and I told my daughter there are better spa days, had I have spent anymore than £20 I would have been far more disappointed but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and we did. I wont be in a hurry to return.

Forest pines is a lovely resort but the pool area is starting to look a bit shabby, with paint peeling off the walls and tiles missing. The ladies changing rooms smelt a bit fusty and the showers were dirty with hair in them - this was at opening time so should have been clean. Equipment in the gym was temporarily out of order, but speaking to some members, temporary can be a few weeks. Looking a little tired all around.

Being a regular visitor here, it is disappointing to see the place looking a little shabby. Paint is peeling off the walls in the swimming pool, missing tiles and on this visit, half of the hairdryers in the ladies changing room were not working. Speaking to some of the members, the seem a bit disgruntled at the moment as they feel any investment is being thrown at the hotel and conference facilities and not the Spa

The spa experience is great, very relaxing. Unfortunately the pool facilities are starting to look a little tired, with paint peeling off the walls in the pool.

My friend and I had a day out at forest pines and enjoyed it. Nothing out of this world special but enjoyable. It was a lovely day so we were able to sit outside on the balcony and enjoy drinks and lunch and watch the golfers tee off which was good eye candy! :-) My friend said her massage was the best she had ever had, my exfoliation however was ok, a problem with the shower in the beauty room though, I thought it was going to flood out into the room, definitely needs seeing too! The pool was a good size and good hot sauna and steam room on the side along with loungers around the pool. So all in all a good day, yes we would go again if the price was right. :-)

We both had the overall refresh and revitalise which included foot scurb, mub mask, heated boots, mini facial, neck shoulder & arm massage. The therepaists were brilliant, really nice & friendly, we really couldnt fault them. The atmosphere was great and we both left feeling great. I would definitely recommend it!

My friend and I enjoyed a very relaxing day at Forest Pines making use of all the facilities. We broke the day up with lunch which was taken in the restaurant overlooking the golf course. All in all great day and good value for money.

I have been to Forest Pines on numerous occasions now and cannot fault the facilities at the Spa. Therapists, therapy rooms and ambience are great. It is disappointing though that there seems to be periodic maintenance work on the changing rooms causing disruption to male and female facilities with occasional problems with the jaccuzi, steam room and sauna. This is periodic though, so don't let it put you off a visit

Amazing value! The venue facilities are very good sauna, steam room, jaccucci and swimming pool also fully equiped gym. The treatments were amazing really good massages and facials we would like to give special mention to beauty therapists Jessica Dixon and Sarah Hemsley who were excelent. One negative in the Spa was the location of the relaxation room it was off a noisey thoroughfare, had a smooth closing door untill the last cm then bang and had frequent interuptions from staff calling in for clients when there appeared to be a more suitable area next to the spa reception for waiting? The only other negative was down to the expense of drinks and food although this didn't spoil our visit on this occasion as we had such a great offer from yourselves.
Thank you so much we will be keeping a look out for future offers.

I actually use the York Q Hotels but was not on my list/

I find it great treatment, swimming pool, steam room and sauna.

When a treatment is included also at the wahanda price it makes pampering yourself affordable.

Thanks
