We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel provided us with the relaxing spa break we were after. The hotel is very plush and situated in a beautiful country setting, which is great when you want to escape London, whilst being in London. The staff are a asset to the hotel. We had a two problems, the toilet stopped work which was fixed straight away and our bookings for the spa hadn't been out through, to which the receptionist moved stuff around to make sure we got our treatments when we wanted. The dinner and breakfast were lovely, we spent 3 hours at dinner not realising were the time had gone - there was a great ambiance. The room was fantastic and very clean. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

I'm considering the romantic spa break for an anniversary weekend. I was curious as to why you awarded it 3 stars?

Spa could do with more improvements. It was open for local swim classes for children which felt a bit like a leisure centre. Jacuzzi is not like I would expect, it was warm and quite dull.
My massage was excellent so it definitely made up for the other spa facilities.

Had an amazing time, staff really looked after us and the treatments and spa facility's were great! Has lots of little details which made it a great visit! The gentleman at reception was really friendly too. Bar staff we're slow which let it a tad down. But would definitely recommend this to friends

Bought spa day package. Having attended this venue often when it first opened, I can honestly say it remains a local favourite of mine. I would happily return again. My only dissapointment was on my last visit when I was given an agency therapist who tried to take 10 minutes of the 30 minute treatment - rather unexpected having attended a good few times before never experiencing this. Be mindful that speaking to client about choice of pressure for massage and changing into robes doesnt require 10 minutes of treatment time!

The Spa was nice but sadly we had to share with a Hen Party who were incredibly noisy, there didn't seem to be any of the standard decorum we'd expect in a spa, as in keeping people quiet to allow other guests to relax. This was the same at poolside, no spare Loungers either as all were covered in towels of people in the hot tub who ended up not even using the loungers, so we were forced to sit on uncomfortable (pretty much dinng chairs). More loungers would be a good idea. The lighting and ambiance was also far too bright and corporate office feeling and not a calm Spa environment (apart from the Snug, which was great apart from the noisy group). I'd suggest more aromatherapy smells too to really make that room fully relaxing. No music was played for my treatment, so all I could hear was people chatting in the corridor, so couldn't fully relax sadly. The massage however was very good.
Dinner was very nice. Though far too many pictures of the celebrity chef, was quite weird and self-indulgent we felt.

This weekend we experiences the worst spa break I've ever been on. I booked the Syon Park Hotel and Spa as a present to my husband who was 30 that weekend.
The room was over 4 hours late in being ready. The 'romantic' spa area was severely over crowded with children of any age being allowed in the pool area, cue all from toddlers screaming to teenagers dive bombing and balls flying around.
We tried to get a swim in in the morning but the pool was out of order till it open for families at 9am
Confirming our dinner reservation was chaos. No one had a clue despite it being booked several days earlier.
When we arrived for dinner 2 mins early we were told to go away for a while. Starters took over 55 min to arrive with even the olives we ordered for the table being 45 min.
We were given a drinks menu we were then told we couldn't order from as it was old.
My starter despite not having anything to do with prawns had prawn tails in it! Thankfully I am not allergic to Shell fish. My main turned up at nearly 11 when I was well past eating.
The final straw was then having to cue for the hotel Resturant/bar toilet as there was a wedding in another room also using that single facility.
Terrible place. Ruined my husbands 30th birthday!

I'd write to both the manager of the hotel and the spa if you haven't already done so. Spa manager's email is: mark.bryant@hilton.com. By the sound of it you won't want to go back there but they should offer you another complimentary stay or at least another spa day. They're part of the Hilton group so why not try for some Hilton vouchers somewhere else. A top hotel in Budapest broke my glasses and I wrote a long letter complaining. They gave me a free stay in a suite costing over £1,000 a night.

Great hotel, staff are helpful and very friendly. Almost a perfect break except the spa area is very small and only has 4 things to use: hot tub, steam room, sauna, and pool. All are very small so you lose the intimacy if groups of hen party's are also booked in. The massage was great but that's luck of the draw who you get I suppose. Over all 9 out of 10.

Went along to the spa for two treatments and champagne lunch. Belated birthday gift. Excellent service all round. Gillian is excellent best massage I have had in a long time; deep tissue massage and facial left me totally relaxed and glowing afterwards. I will definitely be back.
