I was bought a Groupon Voucher for Junerain as a birthday present which had a face value of £45. Looking at the list of treatments on offer, I thought that sounded like a reasonable deal, and besides, I hadn't paid anyway. I booked my appointment no problem, and then had a look on their website in case I wanted to add any extra treatments in. What I found was that to buy a Swedish Massage (which is my preferred treatment) direct from the website it cost only £35 for a choice of 3 treatments from the following: Swedish back massage; Leg & foot massage; Indian head massage; Deep cleanse facial; Body exfoliation; Shellac hands or feet. I was very disappointed that the person who had bought me the gift had been told that the Groupon deal was cheaper than the salon's normal prices.

On the day the massage was very good. The atmosphere was wonderful and I enjoyed just over 30 minutes. But I walk away still feeling somewhat disappointed at their false advertising which had made it seem like a great deal, when it really wasn't. I did question them about the pricing, only to be met with 'you can have 20% off if you want other treatments'...

I can't fault the actual service, but faulting the false advertising on Groupon.

I was recommended Junerain by my friend. She advised me about CACI which is non-surgical face lift treatment as she was very pleased with her treatment from Junerain. To check the place out I booked massage & facial package and I must say the experience was wonderful and relaxing. I was also given proper consultation about CACI by an experience Therapist. I have had few sessions since then and I am pleased with results and my family & friends can clearly see the difference. I visit Junerain frequently for relaxing massage and have had few Microdermabrasion facials. teeth whitening and semi permanent eyebrows done. Have recommended to all my friends.

Junerain was recommended to me by a close friend who frequently visit Junerain last summer. Due to couple of bad experiences in the past I am very picky on my choice of salons. But I was very impressed by the first impression I got when I entered Junerain. I was welcomed by smartly dressed lady with sweet smile. I was already booked for their relaxing and well being offer. I was checked in and was explained about my choices of treatments and lead to very beautiful designed room. The treatment itself was very enjoyable and relaxing. One thing I hate is therapist talking non stop and not letting their clients rewind. But the therapist was very soft spoken and only spoke when needed or asked to. I already booked more treatments and would certainly recommend Junerain as thankfully my friend did to me.

I recently visited Junerain for pamper package as birthday gift. The staff was wonderful and so welcoming. The staff had complete knowledge of each treatment I was booked for and I was explained about it. The treatment room was lighted with scented candles and music played was very relaxing. Loved every minute and have already booked my return appointment. Would definitely recommend Junerain to my friends.

I was a little worried about booking through Groupon but I had a wonderful time.
I purchased a two person voucher for me and my husband which included a facial, indian head massage, back massage and leg & foot massage. It was total luxury.
We were lucky enough to have the couples room so the treatments were done together. Really lovely room, candlelit with relaxing music.
I really can't fault the salon, treatments or staff. Don't be put off by what others say.....this is a great little salon!

I visited JuneRain in June 2014, I booked with a groupon deal that was £15 for a shellac manicure. When I arrived at the salon a customer was just making payment before leaving, she tipped the ladies that had been working on her by saying 'keep the change' and left the salon. Just after the doors closed behind her back the main culprit said 'Oh thanks love £2.50 each, what's that going to get us' This made me feel more on edge than I already did visiting a strange shop in a strange town. I was then lead to the salon where I was told to pick the colour shellac that I would like to be told that the first 5 colours that I liked were too low. The lady was chatty enough and convinced me to re-book with a special offer of £50 for shellac nails and toe, I put my £10 deposit down and went on my way. When I got home i scrutinised my nails and notice that 5 of them had no nail polish to the edge of the nail, not having enough time to go back or enegry to complain I set about my business. It got to 2 days later and 2 of the nails had chipped (I thought they were guarteed for 2 weeks personally...) Now it's 12 days later and 10 of my 10 nails are chipped, still, I thought, these things happen. Now I have just tried to amend my appointment which I secured with a £10 deposit only to be questioned as to why I can no longer make it, I was honest with them and told them rather than just not showing up only to be shouted at down the phone and made to feel guilty for having a busy working life. Do not use this company, they will be horrible if you tip them and even more horrible if you don't. Not sure when the trend changed to the customer being wrong.

I bought a voucher off Groupon a while ago for a BNS massage and Indian head massage. It was really very poor. Left ages waiting on arrival with no explanation and then the therapist didn't really seem to know what she was doing. The back massage was curtailed earlier than the advertised time and the head massage was not good and I felt as if she didn't know what she was doing. I felt it was a case of get me in and out as quickly as possible with no customer care or interest. Overall it was a relief to leave and I won't be going back. I am disappointed that there continue to be so many poor reviews and yet vouchers continue to be advertised on Groupon. I wish I had read the reviews first and not wasted my money.

I was given Junerain Groupon voucher to have massage done by a friend. I was sceptical about it as I thought it is one off thing & looking at discount was not expecting a lot. I was taken aback with the welcome I got and was offered a drink while I waited as I went early to see how the saloon was. I have been in best saloon in London. But had worst & the best services from all over the places but I was really impressed by Junerain. The amber & less lighted rooms were oozing with serenity. I was taken to my room by smartly dressed therapist. The room was very relaxing and she explained me about the massage I was about have. I enjoyed it thoroughly and booked further appointment there & then. From that day on I am regularly visiting Junerain. I have done number of treatments from Caci, dermafiller, micro dermabaration, massages. Trust me I was given the best service and whenever I am there I have spoken causally to other ladies visiting Junerain and they also share the same bond with Junerain. We are catered professionally as per our requirements and not like some saloons as guinea pigs. I always had something new to experience every time I am there. I have been given number of discounts as I recommended most of my friends & family & they are also regular clients of Junerain & can vouch for what I am writing. And I will keep recommending Junerain.

On 13th September 2012, my daughter saw a Groupon offer for a Pamper Package at
the Junerain Salon in Leamington Spa.

The Groupon offer looked good – so she phoned the salon to check availability for 27th before booking the Groupon. (She lives in Central London but was travelling to see friends near Leamington on 27th Sept).

She was offered an appointment at 11.00am and said to hold it and she would pay for the Groupon straightaway.

The lady she spoke with encouraged her to book direct with the salon rather than ‘mess around’ going through Groupon.

She did so and went to the salon at the appointed time; she had booked an Indian head massage, leg and foot massage and a facial.

My daughter was asked if she had any problem areas and explained that she was having treatment for her back at a chiropractors.

The head massage was started but within a few minutes my daughter felt her lower back being kneaded. She told the masseur to stop immediately but was told that part of the head massage also involved working on the back!

My daughter reiterated her earlier statement that she is currently undergoing specialist treatment for a back injury and under no circumstances did she want any treatment below shoulder level.

The masseur was somewhat disgruntled with this and proceeded to give what was essentially a head shampoo – (but without the shampoo) – a repetitive circular motion that anyone could do. She was bored and obviously knew that my daughter was not happy with her.

The rest of the session was ‘lacklustre’ at best.

My daughter and her sister have been to many spa/ pamper/treatment sessions in London and never had a problem. The Junerain experience in Leamington Spa was voted as the worst by a long way.

My daughter was going to leave it there as (in her words) she hasn’t the time to fight over £24!

As I believe that most things can be sorted with sensible conversation, I phoned the salon owner and explained what had happened. Without taking a split second to apologise or reflect on what I had said, the owner snapped that my daughter had booked a back massage or her girl would never have touched the back.

Everything I said was met with a wall of defense and an unwillingness to even listen.

Eventually, after realising that I would not be talked down, she accepted that a Head Massage had been booked; but, the story then offered was that with there being so many types of Head Massage, the back needs to be massaged even if a client has clearly asked for an Indian HEAD MASSAGE ???

The owner offered a free treatment by way of compensation – but I reiterated that my daughter lives 3 hours away in London. She kept repeating this offer as if she was offering something wonderful.

I declined and a refund was requested.

As this hasn’t been received I am posting this note to warn others about the ‘Junerain experience in Leamington Spa’

As a side note, the salon was deserted at the time of my daughter’s visit - perhaps the salon is well known locally?

Me and my friend both bought a groupon voucher for a facial and back massage.

While initially I was happy with the facial, I didn't receive the scalp massage as included in the offer and both treatments seemed shorter than expected.

I then also opted for the luxury manicure, which was supposed to take the same amount of time as my friend's nail extensions.

In fact my manicure was pretty much finished by the time my friend came down the stairs from her treatments. Apparently, their idea of a luxury manicure is a quick shape, quick poke at the cuticles a two minute hand massage and and poorly painted nails.

The woman that did my manicure didn't seem trained, the cuticles were not tidy, she didn't even buff the nail and had great trouble trying to paint my nail with a red polish. Which at the end was different shades on each nail, streaky and had air bubbles.

My friend opted for nail extensions, was charged full price although stating with the groupon offer that all additional treatments were 20% reduced. Although it was explained that gel nails were weaker, they cracked after 2 days and one broke off. Also, the extensions were the wrong size, so would dig in at the corners, which is quite painful. When we contacted the manager, to see if the problem could be resolved (after 3 attempts of talking to a useless receptionist who unhelpfully stated 'I don't know what I can do") all that was said was that the nail technician is not in until thursday (4 days later) and that she must have been bashing the nail to cause damage because that was what was on the instructions. She was not sympathetic or apologetic about that fact that the extensions caused pain, in fact she said that the girl was highly trained, implying that my friend was lying. All of this when she plainly said "I'm not an expert on nails", makes a person wonder why she is running a beauty salon in the first place.

I would not recommend. This salon was the worst beauty place that I have ever been to. AVOID. Save yourself time, money and effort.

I went to Junerain for teeth whitening and I must say the atmosphere was very relaxed. The staff were very helpful and I was offered a drink while I waited.

When I went upstairs to have my treatment the room was very calm and relaxing. I was really nervous about having my teeth whitened but I became so relaxed I honestly thought I was going to drift off.

Everything was explained to me beforehand and as it was noticeable I was a little nervous I found the staff to be very attentive and supportive.

I would recommend Junerain to all my family and friends and will definitely be going back.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the reviewer whose hair was in a knot after the Indian head massage! Overall the massage was not very relaxing and I was not impressed by the standard of service overall. The biggest problem though was the constant hard sell and a certain economy with the truth- such as the 'free' parking mentioned in another review (actually on street parking, round the corner).

I have been visiting Junerain for about two years and during that time I've tried various treatments. Currently experiencing Casi face and body and I'm delighted with the results, and reasonable price. The atmosphere is relaxed and very welcoming and the team are generally interested in your wellbeing, unlike many other salons I've visited.

I've also recently taken the offer with teeth whitening, and am really pleased with the results. Now an ex-smoker, I could never achieve the whiteness I desired through a polish at the dentist. Also need to point out that I'm a little squeamish when it comes to matters of the mouth, but the procedure was carefully explained by a trained professional, and any concerns I had were fully addressed.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Junerain to my friends or family, and have on many occasions over the last couple of years.

I had four treatments as part of a Groupon deal but overall didn't enjoy the experience. The robe I was given to put on was grubby and oily so not a good start. I am a therapist myself, ITEC qualified, and expected the sort of standards and treatment I would give. The massage was very mediocre, shorter than expected and I felt that the therapist giving the Indian head massage made it up as she went along. The other two treatments: body exfoliation and facial were fairly poor and took much less time than advertised; so sorry I won't be returning.

After buying an offer on groupon for teeth whitening, I was really excited to get booked in. When I phoned to book my appt, I was told that all they do to begin with is take down everybody's name & number and will be contacted on Monday. After waiting in all day on the Monday with no returned phone call I decided to ring them back, to which I was advised it normally takes 3 weeks for somebody to call back to make the appt, but they are trying all they can to get everybody booked in ASAP! I finally received my phonecall a wk later much to my surprise, with the news that they don't have any appts for the next 3 wks!! I agreed on a date to then be told it was for a consultation only then I would have to rebook for the teeth whitening when I go in!!! I went for my consultation, which consisted of a rushed talk about the process, which I only caught the odd words and had to use my own common sense to finish the sentence in my head! I was asked to smile, to see what my teeth were like, sign a consent form and that was it... By the way the consent form asks if you have consulted your own dentist prior to whitening, which they failed to advise me. Then came the nxt stage... Make the appt to have the whitening carried out.....aaggh another 4wks time...how ridiculous, 8 wks it has taken just to get my appt. Anybody wanting this done in time for an occasion forget it! My appt day has finally came, can't wait, really excited....I arrived early for my appt. I was quickly briefed on the process again. I was finally prepped for the so called 3...10 minute sessions of bleach. To my suprise I only had 2...10minute sessions, and when I rinsed my mouth and looked in the mirror after, it was hardly worth it. Not much difference at all. Where I had the plastic protecter gel that goes hard to protect my gums, she obviously has done it too far on to my teeth, as where there is little whitening to my teeth you can notice the colour difference now where tooth meets gum. I was then persuaded to buy a £7 teeth whitening paste. A real waste of money, I wouldn't bother. I got better results from crest tooth whitening strips. Whether this is because it was a groupon offer, they try to cut corners, I don't know? Good look to the other 400 people who bought this offer, I'd be interested to hear others experiences?

“Awful experience. I took my mother here with me for a belated mothers day present. I will summarise the visit in bullets as it was so bad. We booked 3 Hr pamper session which included, facial, Indian head massage, body massage and body exfoliation. 1. Advertised "free parking". They mean you can park in a street up the road. 2. Limited seating area not offered a drink yet dirty cups glasses and saucers littering the table 3. offered a grubby stained dirty wrap around to get changed into which was no big enough, had to ask for a towel and forced to explain why ie not big enough to cover me which was apparent. 4 facial consisted of rubbing my cheeks for 15 min not a facial in my opinion and not compatible to any of the many facials I have had in the past 5 "Indian head massage" was rubbing one part of my scalp for 20 mins NOT like any Indian scalp massage I have ever had, they managed to matt my hair so badly nothing would help it other than I Hr of gently teasing it out with conditioner when I got home.  6  All treatments had their time truncated which meant in all 30 mins short of the promised time paid for. 7  When I complained about the time and head massage the owner would not listen and just argued with me so I gave up trying to give feedback and complain.  In my opinion this was the worst beauty experience I have ever had, I would not go again.
