Jacqui R Salon

The Jacqui R salon is about lasting results and positive transformations, whether it's a simple cut and blow dry or a more permanent shift towards healthier, happier living. Says Jacqui: 'When people come in for a treatment, my goal is for them to leave here looking great and feeling fantastic'.

The Jacqui-R Salon is an intimate and relaxing space, tucked down one of the City's most beautifully restored narrow streets. From the moment you arrive, we'll make you welcome', says Jacqui. 'Tea, coffee, or a glass of wine are complementary - whatever it takes to help you relax, unwind and get the best from your treatment. We really enjoy being with our clients and putting our skills to good use. And the fact that nearly all of our business is from returning clients and their word of mouth recommendations shows that we're really rather good at it!

I found this hairdressers when I visited Beauty Essence in the city. Unfortunately for them they are located at the end of an alley way, which cannot do much for advertising but they look like they don't need it. A little hairdressers in a corner of a Beauty Parlour. Very quaint. Staff are lovely and actually listen to what you want. I got excatly what I asked for, which is quite rare these days. I felt very relaxed and looked after. The length of my hair is just past the shoulders and I paid £42 for a cut and blow dry. Very reasonable for the city.

the staff was very nice. I was really happy with my highlights! I would definitely recommend this salon even though it was quite difficult to find it and the salon was very small.

I was so delighted with the subtle lift my last half head of highlights gave that I retuned last night to see Nicky again. I am absolutely thrilled with the results - not only has she built on her previous work, giving some lighter strands, but also she's added depth and made my hair look like old gold, I love it. I gave her free reign to restyle my hair and now have a shoulder length bob which is going to be easy to maintain and is cut to not look awful as it grows out. What's more, she's cut with the natural movement of my hair so that I don't have to straighten it or blow dry it for it to look good. Both visits to this salon, the only other clients I've seen have been professionals, and you get the feeling that you aren't looked down on for wanting something practical rather than adventurous, which is something I am conscious of in some other places. Last nights' visit reinforced that this is a great salon and I feel comfortable there, I know I'm not going to walk out looking like an idiot, but rather with a do which looks as though I've spent an absolute fortune, when I haven't. Excellent!

I am very happy with the highlights and cut that I got today at Jacqui R salon. The location is great, just off Bow Lane which will be handy with the opening of the new one change shopping centre at St Pauls. The staff were all friendly and I got a toner included with my highlights for no extra cost. Would go back!!

the salon was very small and different to what i was expecting. The guy who did my hair didn't seem to know much about colours ! He had to ask the other staff member there who made the correct decision for him. The staff were very friendly and i was offered a hot drink. There wasn't any atmosphere there and definately wouldn't go back. My highlights were ok, they don't show much ! I certainly wouldn't pay the full price.

This is a small salon, as many people have already mentioned. Lovely location though, I really enjoyed walking around.

I got the £18 for £55 senior stylist haircut and blowdry as a Mobdeal, and also got the 40% discount off men's haircut for my husband. We got the same stylist (Patrice), who did an excellent job, and we were both very happy with the result. My haircut was ideal, and I could not be happier: THE best haircut in my life. I am seriously contemplating doing it for the full price, though it's quite expensive. My husband's haircut was also very good, - I probably would not pay the full price for his one though.

The only word of caution that is probably worth making: when I made the booking I requested the top, not senior stylist for my husband (which was supposed to be cheaper). However, upon arrival we realized that we both got the same (senior) stylist. While haircut by Patrice was well worth the money, we were charged for senior stylist haircut and this was more than I expected during booking. Just be very specific and ask when you book, if this price difference is important for you.

Nice salon (a bid hard to find though as it is at the end of a tiny alleyway so the detailed map was essential), friendly atmosphere and very nice hairdresser who offered advice and ideas on what I could try. Would definitely recommend the place and go back again.

Jacqui R Salon was a hair salon within a beauty therapy venue. The therapist was very thorough and actually spent time feeling the shape of my head and looking at my hair to determine the best way that it fell before cutting it. The wash and treatment was very good and it was a great cut, though a little bit too short. The staff were helpful and the samples for hair conditioning products was a bonus.

I enjoyed the experience although wasn't completely happy with my regrowth showing a couple of weeks later. Perhaps a little more time on the colour service than the chatting. though both hairdressers we're very friendly.

This salon is in a great location in the city between St Pauls and Bank although it's down a side alley so a bit difficult to find. It's quite small but really well equipped and I was really happy with my highlights for a really low price. I'd definitely book this again.

The salon was a little tricky to find but my lovely stylist came to find me and lead me to the salon. I was seen straight away which was good and there was only one other getting colour done. I felt slightly uncomfortable when the owner critisised one of the staff for not ordering the highlight colour that was obviously needed for my treatment, and then was more worried and she told my stylist how to mix up what they did have to do my colour! It was a 7pm appointment and i felt rather rushed, that everyone just wanted to get out and get home - understandable i suppose but i don't think the colour was left on long enough and i was disappointed when i got home and had a proper look at my hair to realise that my colour looked no different and my roots as obvious as before! Lovely friendly stylist but wouldn't book again i'm afraid.

Fantastic find! My half head of highlights are fantastic, I was delighted with the results and the late opening is a massive bonus. Its teeny tiny, and can get quite hot and stuffy, but for results like these, who cares?! The only downside was the way in which the owner snapped at the girl who was doing my hair - it was harsh, uncalled for and not appropriate in front of clients.

This is a small, unpretentious, friendly salon where the hairdressers are very warm and welcoming and truly have the human touch. I was given excellent advice about the colour and condition of my hair, and left the salon feeling great and very happy indeed with the way my hair looked. Weeks later the colour still looks fresh and I would not hesitate to recommend Jacqui R salon to other people - they aren't a flashy place but they really know what they're doing.

I booked the £28 highlights and they were excellent value for money. My hairdresser was professional and made suggestions which I appreciated. There was also no hard sell that you can get in some salons, especially if you've used a voucher.

The highlights didnt turn out quite the colour I was hoping for but I'm told its difficult to achieve on hair as dark as mine. Wasn't as damaging as my last highlights though, staff were very friendly and informative, a nice little salon.

Jacqui R was a great salon, hidden away on a back street in the city, with a good atmosphere and great service. There were power problems when I went due to building works going on in the city but the staff were great and managed to complete some great highlights in the face of adversity!
